I was born in Portland . When I was a kid we’d drive to the beach a few times a year . Without fail , at very first sight of it , my mom would gleefully and with the excitement of a child , announce that we could see the ocean ! She died recently . I didn’t get to say goodbye . It’s good to cry sometimes . Thank you .
Okay you two, those first 2 minutes of the video were just outstanding....really beyond words. Please don't think I didn't enjoy the rest, it's just that first part gave me goose bumps.
Me too, I live there. The only upgrade I could see is an awning, and a spare room fastened to the outside of the scamp. So you could move around during rain.
I went back and watched alot of your videos and they're awesome! Whoever edited this video (Elsa or Barron) - it's really impressive! I felt so many emotions watching i, I can't put them all into words. Some people can articulate their creativity in a way that really makes their viewers feel raw emotions and you guys have ability!
We used to camp in tents, then a VW popup, then small motor homes. I have seen motor homes with bump out room expansions that looked to be twice as long as ours or more, and they were towing, not only a car, but an ATV! They could only stop in a huge, pull-through site in a campground, and of course, with all of the connections. I don’t know why they didn’t stay at home. I think you two have the perfect setup. Now that my husband has passed, I’ve been looking longingly at those teardrop trailers, like on Cosmo Weems’ YT channel. I’m a little scared, though. People are meaner than they used to be. We used to trust that other campers would always help us, if we got in a scrape.
We love Oregon, born and raised here, can’t imagine living anywhere else. The ocean, the mountains, the lakes, rivers, waterfalls and so pet friendly! Always love watching you two.
I'm a Toronto based musician and I've been binge watching your videos since past 2 days. I'm so thankful to you guys for the sheer positivity that you spread through your content. I now know where to look when I'm feeling down. Lots of love to Kamp, stay safe guys! Thank you!🙏🌼
You guys continue to inspire. I recently "splurged" and bought myself a $300 (No, I didn't forget a zero) used pop up camper. I am going to fix that up and start my journey soon. I only have about 2-3 more months of saving before I have all I need and can hit the road. I never would have thought this was possible until meeting so many new friends this year, you guys included. Thankyou!
I have a 3 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. We Love watching you. We have a Pop up camper and camp as much as we're able. Our neighbor has a Scamp and every time we see it we thank of you guys and the possibilities. Love what you do keep it moving..
I love you guys because when I watch this, I get "I'm just showing you some of my life", and not "I made this amazing content for you to watch, isn't it good?". So much good, clean, chill energy.
Thanks so much for another wonderful video. Editing is awesome & feels very peaceful. My little sister lived in portland before she passed & love it so (actually died in Portland). Keep Portland weird they say. I have great memories there. The first place I ever saw a car stop for a pedestrian & wave hello. back in Florida they might have had a "wake" not a wave. You two are truly an inspiration. stay real & keep rockin'. Peace, Sabrina.
We lived in a 27' motorhome for 5 years, stationary. We replaced it with a newer 5th wheel, also stationary. The motorhome was much harder to keep warm in the winter than the trailer is. Would love to travel, but we're here parked on my mom's land in the country to help her, she has MS. I NEVER want to go back to a "real" house. Your channel is our absolute favorite on UA-cam. Thank you so much!
Seriously enjoying your videos more and more. We have the good fortune to live in our 17 foot Casita on our property. Affording us the luxuries of water, power and sewer. We had a larger trailer but are happier in tiny.
How nice to be able to view the simple things in life as you make your journey! Laying back on the mat after making coffee to look up at your surroundings. So lovely! Great music too!
I just visited the Oregon Coast for the first time 2 weeks ago. I totally get why people love it there. If you are still in the area, rent a couple sand boards and go ride the dunes in Florence. It’s a blast!
The Oregon Coast is so beautiful and majestic! I love in Southern Oregon and we visit Gold Beach and Brooking often and it’s just so beautiful there! I love everything about Oregon! The lush green forests, the mountains, the coast, just everything! So happy you guys are experiencing the beauty of the state I enjoy everyday! 😁
Cynthia Owens I do too! There is nothing like the So OR Coast. I lived in Brookings and that couple of years was one of the best chapters of my life. Stunning beauty!
I completely agree with both of your opinions on big rigs. I live in a skoolie that I have parked at my friends house and it never moves. I use the facilities in the house so I don't have to worry about ever driving anywhere to empty. I have a 3 gallon grey water jug that I empty in the toilet in the house. I took it out on a couple of weekend trips when I first finished the conversion and realized that it was just WAY too big for me. I live in Portland too, and driving it in any sort of traffic is extremely stressful, and mine is only 26' bumper to bumper, but 8' wide before mirrors... I can't imagine a full size! Love the Scamps, been keeping my eyes out for one to replace my bus, but they sure aren't as inexpensive as what you two paid for yours! BTW the sound quality was awesome.
My first trip with my wife was in the Grand Teton/Yellowstone area. She had never been camping before. It rained all 7 days of our trip. I loved every minute of it and she was a good sport. I am the guy you met on Christmas Day in Lenexa. Love your channel and enjoyed meeting you both.
I think it’s pretty neat that you two can carry on a conversation, and able to share your opinions on any subject. Equally. My husband and I of over 30 years... we don’t talk like that.
As a Washingtonian raised 45 minutes from the Astoria bridge, you perfectly captured the magic of the drive over the Astoria bridge. I've lived in a few places with a bridge crossing into Oregon (Vancouver Wa, Longview Wa) but nothing beats that Astoria-Megler. 🖤
The ship at 00:30, there's an old rumor that the ship belonged to our substitute teacher/museum runner. He crashed it one day and left it there. Always been there since I was a kid so over 20 years now. 😂 Don't know if there's truth to it.
Wow! Just wow! Absolutely loved the artistic aspects! It was so serene and took me away to another place. Thank you for the escape. Kansas City girl here! Now living in the country and binge watching your channel.
We have been living in our 40 ft. motorhome, towing our car for about three years now. We avoid cities like Portland or Seattle or Austin or Houston because of the horrible traffic and the hive of people. We stay mostly outside small towns or places that aren't to populated. Miles City Montana or Bozeman, or Buffalo Wyoming or Benson Arizona are some of our favorite places. We sold our house and everything we couldn't take with us and made this our home. We've done thousands in miles in this coach and have seen amazing things that most people will never see.
Ocean episode, Scamp life just keeps getting better and better. In my experience, larger is constant problems. Never have I ever, enjoyed dealing with carrying a sewage system everywhere.
This was such a different video layout and I loved it! So relaxing with the no talking at the start then the nature montage at the end! Just beautiful guys! Xxx
My dad bought a giant rv/bus type vehicle second hand for family trips and I got the worst headache sitting in that thing. Granted there’s a lot of space to store stuff, move around and use a toilet. I still didn’t like it. I never drove the bus but I still had so much anxiety seeing my dad go through narrow streets and under bridges. I’d prefer a skoolie bus set-up with less space but a bit more mobility if I ever decided to travel like you guys. Love watching your videos, Elsa! Much love
Awesome videos as always! Elsa, when are you making more earrings? I delayed too long in snagging that last pair on your website! You guys are so inspirational. Reminds me of when my hubby and I backpacked around the world the first 3 years of our marriage. I always tell people, "If we could survive in a backpacker's tent for that long, we can survive anything." :) We were going against the grain then and doing things different than a lot of our friends....and we wouldn't change that time in our lives for anything, it shaped everything in our lives! Thanks for what you are doing and what you are sharing!
Seeing Kamp so animated at the beach was so special. I'm so used to him just sitting there looking so cute and silly, that this is so wonderful to see.
The first bit of this video was just phenomenal 😍 those arial shots of the forest! Be still my heart. Takes me back to driving into Hogsback, South Africa. My favourite place in the world
Did Kamp ever go swimming? What is water temperature? The drive over the bridge and that blue heron flying with you was very magical! You guys are living the dream but I think you should put your two beautiful brains together and come up with a phenomenal entrepreneur product or company to give more to the world and yourselves!!!! We need you to come up with a tool or something to help us!! I'm not sure you can live the rest of your 75 years in the Scamp just traveling. It would be nice to see you guys come up with an epic camping invention!!! Start applying to Shark tank or just put it here on your channel!! I do love your journey but hope it could be more on the horizon!!! Xoxox 🚣♀️🐕🐾🐶🎣🚣
I played the entrepreneurial game for a while before scamp life. Still interested in it to some degree. The crux is to build a product, service or otherwise that's ecologically and societally regenerative.
Hi It's called "glamping" lol for when you get old and need the extras 😉 we are about 65 feet with the bus and car trailer but we started with a tent and moved up over the last 38 years together ❤ We were born and raised on the Oregon coast (Coos Bay/ North Bend) and still go back to our property in the summer on the bay. Enjoy this chapter of your life together 💛
My husband and I watch you regularly! We live in Overland Park, KS and feel a little home town connection to you. I have split my life between KC and Portland OR...so loved your visit!!! Thanks for sharing your life and skills!! ❤
I like the simplicity of my Scamp as well. I took out the water tank and old line and went to containers that can be gravity fed at the sink. Easier for winter storage. Porta potties are easy. Bathrooms turn into closets most of the time. I use a little galvanized tub for bathing. It sits great on the long couch for storage or a table. I would like to have a wheel on the front for easier adjusting in camp. I’m older and have weaker hands than you two. Love your stickers, Elsa. Enjoy the coast. My dog Pumpkin loves the waves.
I love your podcast! I’m also really loving this new cinematography going on in the videos! Elsa you are doing such a great job editing. Barron, I want you to know that I’m so influenced by your minimalistic set up in regards to tech that I’m getting an iPad with a keyboard as opposed to a new laptop. I’m so excited!
This “ episode “ is particularly enjoyable. After I graduated from college , drove across country East Coast --> to West Coast and lived in Oregon & Washington State for 1 year , thank goodness for KOAs along the way to pitch a tent ⛺️. Anyway, what a beautiful state & coast. Also notable : the Colombian river gorge 🌿 Nature is perfect “ 🌿
My dad always pulled our 5th wheel with our boat behind that. He backs the boat into a spot and then parks the camper. It's very impressive to me haha We just sold our 27ft and bought a 2020 39ft with 2 big slides... but we just go to our area lakes, Galveston for beach and Arkansas.. (live in N.E. Texas) ❤ love your simple life! And your camper!
Camping at the Oregon coast right now for labor day weekend. I can hear the lighthouse, and the ocean...love it. Beautiful video and love a good aeropress in the morning. 🥰💞♥️
I don't know anything about making videos but I know when something is lovely to see & hear. Have been following you for a long time & it's fun, informative & I'm starting to camp in the yard. Thank you.
This video was so well done, I love watching you guys on your adventures.i wish I had the guts to do this when I was your age. I wish you all the best and safe travels.
I totally agree with you that those huge luxury motorhomes are crazy. I have no desire for anything that big let alone try to drive and park it....loved the part of Kamp on the beach by the ocean. Enjoy your stay in Portland!♥️
I just found your channel recently from Kristi mentioning you in her videos and I am OBSESSED with your videos. The life you guys live is so beautiful. I'm also obsessed with your dog. 💕
Dropped everything... I never clicked so fast on a video 🤣🤣🤣💕💕💕💕 Kamp was eyeballing that seagull 😂😂😂😂 you can tell he loves your sister sooooo much ❤️
Wow this was beautiful guys! I can't wait to listen to the podcast...absolutely love how connected you guys are to the earth, and for sure the scamp helps aid in that.
You guy Rock!! 🎸 Been following for a Short time, just recently found you. I think its great what you both are doing and Wish I could do it. Be fan of enjoying everyday of life and living as however we chose. Thanks guys keep on keeping on
I’m in love with your cute little scamp I would love to have something similar someday. My grandparents had a similar camper when I was growing up so I could never imagine having one of those giant motor homes. I would love to either have a vintage van or something like the scamp
Would you ever consider traveling to the east coast and trying out some of the locations there? I’d love to see how you’d adapt your lifestyle to the different weather and geography.
Great discussion and beautiful photos and editing. Love the way you ended it... still talking. Just found you, Elsa. I think I've seen some other of your posts, but will subscribe if I can get this kind of interesting content. I'm older, and female, but don't think I want a house again. It helps to hear what others are doing.
This is the best video yet. Very artfully done. You guys are in one of my favorite places at the best time to be there too. Be sure to check out Sisters, OR on the way through to Bend.
I just upgraded from a tent trailer to an A frame. I can’t wait to cruise to Astoria, cannon beach, and further down the Oregon coast. Thanks for the inspiration!
Welcome to my neck of the woods. Haha. I live on the coast. My dog loves going to the beach and chasing seagulls but even after 3+ years of beach life she's still not a fan of the water. 😆
After all the talk of solar power, Holly & I are going to invest in it. just a couple hundred watts to start but I feel we gotta do it. Thanks for the great info!
I have a 2003 F250 Diesel and pull a 35ft 5th wheel that weighs 12000 lbs and is 35 ft long with 3 slides. Its the most stress free pulling experience I have ever had. I'm on my 5th trailer. All the others were tongue pull trailers like your little Scamp but of course much longer lol. Those were stressful but the 5er with a goose box hitch is a breeze, I forget its back there sometimes. I pull it going 70 and 80 often on the freeways. Of course going to the places you go would not be an option.
I need to see the Pacific Northwest. Your video is beautiful showcasing the glory of that area. I’m a Colorado girl, I’ve seen some amazing landscapes, but where you’re at now...stunning!!
I was born in Portland . When I was a kid we’d drive to the beach a few times a year . Without fail , at very first sight of it , my mom would gleefully and with the excitement of a child , announce that we could see the ocean ! She died recently . I didn’t get to say goodbye . Lisantica I agree, those two minutes were marvellous

Kamp seeing the ocean for the first time!!! Be still my heart!
I love the words you used. Reminds me of "my cup runneth over".
Beautiful music play this guys
We love Oregon, born and raised here, can’t imagine living anywhere else. The ocean, the mountains, the lakes, rivers, waterfalls and so pet friendly! Always love watching you two.
Just when I thought your videos couldn’t get more beautiful. Thank you Elsa for sharing your heart ... your art. ♥️
I'm a Toronto based musician and I've been binge watching your videos since past 2 days. I'm so thankful to you guys for the sheer positivity that you spread through your content. I now know where to look when I'm feeling down. Lots of love to Kamp, stay safe guys! Thank you!🙏🌼
Someday, when you are older, you will treasure these videos more than you can imagine. You will look back at your young selves with wonder and awe.
You guys continue to inspire. I recently "splurged" and bought myself a $300 (No, I didn't forget a zero) used pop up camper. I am going to fix that up and start my journey soon. I only have about 2-3 more months of saving before I have all I need and can hit the road.

SmoochieMcgoo Good luck 🍀
I’m one of those lonely and heartbroken souls without a mate. Love your love for each other and this beautiful world. Thank you ❤️
Since watching your videos I've become much more mindful. I listen to the sounds I make when I'm cooking etc. It's so simple which is... everything.
🙏
I would buy a book Barron narrated. He really has a soothing voice.
I have a 3 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. We Love watching you. We have a Pop up camper and camp as much as we're able. Our neighbor has a Scamp and every time we see it we thank of you guys and the possibilities. Love what you do keep it moving..
The music in this video is so peaceful. Thanks for sharing the good vibes!
Jessica Street what’s the name of that song
Not sure. Love it though.
I love you guys because when I watch this, I get "I'm just showing you some of my life", and not "I made this amazing content for you to watch, isn't it good?". So much good, clean, chill energy.

BTW do you have a list of the great music that you play in the videos? Nice sounds all. Love the winter camping vids.
The bridge views. The spider web! The symphony of sounds. Boundless. Talents.
We lived in a 27' motorhome for 5 years, stationary. We replaced it with a newer 5th wheel, also stationary. The motorhome was much harder to keep warm in the winter than the trailer is. I love the music you choose to accompany your videos. It's so soothing.
Kamp and your sister playing in slow mo is just gorgeous, beautifully filmed and love the song you put with it. x
I'm from Newfoundland, where the coast raised me. The ocean has magical, mystical properties.
Beautiful area. Camp enjoyed time with his Aunt. Amazing soundtrack that really makes the video.
I just visited the Oregon Coast for the first time 2 weeks ago. I totally get why people love it there. If you are still in the area, rent a couple sand boards and go ride the dunes in Florence. It’s a blast!

In case anyone else wants it, the first song is LBL by Cospe! The second is Waterslide by Loving Caliber (the acoustic version) 😊
Thank you!
You , my friend , are an angel . Thank you .
Welcome to Oregon. My beautiful home 💚
I think it’s pretty neat that you two can carry on a conversation, and able to share your opinions on any subject. Equally.
My husband and I of over 30 years... we don’t talk like that.

Wow! Just wow! Absolutely loved the artistic aspects! It was so serene and took me away to another place. Thank you for the escape. Kansas City girl here! Now living in the country and binge watching your channel.
Watching y'alls videos is so addicting!! I cannot stop binge watching.

The video and editing is brilliant!! It's like real art not just a UA-cam video.
Aww, more more!!! Love your videos. Addicted. You & Barron are so inspirational in every way and Kamp, too!
Kristi recommended you xx
Ocean episode, Scamp life just keeps getting better and better. In my experience, larger is constant problems. Never have I ever, enjoyed dealing with carrying a sewage system everywhere.

I thought the same thing. Relaxing indeed.

What is water temperature?

You guys are living the dream but I think you should put your two beautiful brains together and come up with a phenomenal entrepreneur product or company to give more to the world and yourselves!!!!
We need you to come up with a tool or something to help us!!
I'm not sure you can live the rest of your 75 years in the Scamp just traveling.
It would be nice to see you guys come up with an epic camping invention!!!

Wonderful, so beautiful to watch and listen. You really spoil us with all the great shots and editing!!
Oh, how sweet! Your sister and Kamp!!! So much love between them 💕 Absolutely loved the slo-mo run with them!!!
Hi
It's called "glamping" lol for when you get old and need the extras 😉 we are about 65 feet with the bus and car trailer but we started with a tent and moved up over the last 38 years together ❤
We were born and raised on the Oregon coast (Coos Bay/ North Bend) and still go back to our property in the summer on the bay.
New to your channel this week. Been feeling the end of the school year stress and your channel has brought the calm! Thank you!
Dang Elsa, you have really found a beautiful way to tell your story. Your video skills have flourished!
I love your podcast! I’m also really loving this new cinematography going on in the videos! Elsa you are doing such a great job editing. Camping at the Oregon coast right now for labor day weekend. I can hear the lighthouse, and the ocean...love it. Beautiful video and love a good aeropress in the morning. 🥰💞♥️
Cannon Beach is beautiful! I love it! I hope you had a wonderful time hun!
Totally agree light doesn't weigh you down. You guys are spot on.
Your morning routine is the best in the world. I felt relaxed just watching it.
Your editing is so beautiful and calming!
All your videos are so amazing! The music, the editing, the chill vibe, and the beautiful scenery. I can't help getting lost in the moment.

Your podcast is really good quality for such a simple setup - Just finished listening to all of your episodes and really enjoyed them.
Happy Kamp and beachy Kamp 😍😍😍 thank you for the update and behind the scenes!

I love you guys. Thank you for your videos. And thank you for your podcasts. I never thought I’d get into podcast, but I love yours. Thank you guys.

Bah! Your in my backyard! Goosebumps! Oregon is where it is at! ❤️ Welcome!
Been binge watching your videos for the past 3.5 hours. So glad I've found your channel ❤️
Loved the bridge. Beautiful place.
I just upgraded from a tent trailer to an A frame. I can’t wait to cruise to Astoria, cannon beach, and further down the Oregon coast. Thanks for the inspiration!
A Ligners are so cool!
Making me rethink my entire life. Fabulous opening to this video. Love! ❤️❤️❤️
That Astoria bridge is beautiful....
Oregon looks just beautiful
I need to see the Pacific Northwest. Your video is beautiful showcasing the glory of that area. I’m a Colorado girl, I’ve seen some amazing landscapes, but where you’re at now...stunning!!
Oregon,.....be still my heart! 💖💗💖💗💖 Love, love to listen to your podcast. ❤️❤️
When I found your channel I had been bingeing this Korean guys asmr type vids...which this reminds me of ❤️🍿
