Hi C was always in my fridge growing up..wow did we really consume THAT much cereal?! lmao like so many ads for cereal! Man i really dressed like that! These are awesome thanks for posting them :PMy son is 13 and loves to watch these, he says advertising was so much better back then..i agree
Great ending to 5 awesome parts. ABC Saturday mornings with the classic After These Messages bumpers! Steve Jobs leads the Appletologists in his California temple! Nothing beats 80s afterschool anthems as good as the Hi-C ad!
I had a Smooshee. Might still be in a box in the garage. Swear to gawd that Tootsie Pop commercial's been around since my mom was a kid (60s). Ah yeah, I remember the kiddified trend; Yo Yogi, The Flintstone Kids, Tiny Toons, Life with Louie, Little Rosie, A Pup Named Scooby Doo, & Muppet Babies.
1:22--They really went retro with the Smooshies commercial! The jingle is based on the 1958 hit "At The Hop." 1:53--You can't get more classic than that Tootsie Roll Pop commercial! I remember seeing it when I was a kid, a decade before these spots aired. I think an abbreviated version STILL surfaces from time to time! 2:50, 9:04, and 13:26--Maybe it's just me, but I think it is hilarious how the dog says "YECH!!" in this bumper. 3:27--More Old Testament humor! The Flintstones are singing the gospel standard "Dry Bones" (about a vision seen by the prophet Ezekiel) with new lyrics. 8:05--By this time it must have been taboo to use the word "sugar" in the name of a cereal. It was Super Sugar Crisp when I was a kid, and I think just Sugar Crisp before that. 9:40--A twist on the classic Oreo jingle. 10:11--One of many great McDonald's commercials from the 80's. 12:55--Since early 2021, Looney Tunes have been airing for a full hour every Saturday morning, and as part of the weekday morning Toon In With Me show, on the retro network MeTV.
How do I find showtimes to Fox and the Hound again? The hell is a 'newspaper'? What is a 'theater'? Why can't I just torrent it and avoid the fresh air and harmful rays of UV??? So barbaric.
wouldn't Smooshees get ruined in a matter of hours? who was the voice of Cap'n Crunch here? it's familiar, but I can't place it i wonder what the Perfume Pretty Barbie perfume smelled like. probably rubbing alcohol i had to look up "ceteceans" LOVE the "do the arches" jingles "fill your Easter basket the healthy way" who wants to do that?! alcoholic guy needed to get a touch dial phone i remember those Fruit Wrinkles, they were good
Commercials used to be so upbeat with great jingles bring it all baccccck
