When I was younger I use to throw the beader away because I didn’t know what it was used for and why they were always in the packs then I would just put the beads in one by one with my hands 😩😂

But to be honest I think it's because I own a latch hook i figured it out. I only used beads once or maybe twice in my youth and they my cousin's. (I'm from the tin foil generation)🤭
Videos like this are really helping me on my self acceptance journey. Part of that being my relationship with the hair on my head. We've had a bumpy relationship but she's always been there. She's been through a lot because of me and others so I'm trying to understand her, not be embarrassed or frustrated by her, and let her know how much I love her. I'm a Transitioner since June 2024. I put her in mini braids recently and I think she'd look lovely dressed in them beads just like back in the day! Haven't had beads in a long time. I hope she likes it

Ive always wanted to do something fun with her hair while also teaching her about the hairstyles she can do with her hair. Ill never have the hair for this but im more excited knowing she can have more options to her hair than just straightening it

This is by far the best tutorial I’ve found so far that has very detailed instructions and explanations on how to secure the ends. I really appreciate your help and instructions ❤
When using you hands you can place a band at the end to help tread the hair instead of folding then just remove and reapply band to secure bead. Thanks for sharing

Y’all, I have another method. Wrap aluminum foil tightly to your ends and then slide the beads in. When you finish, just remove the aluminum

That's how I added beads in the 70's and 80's. With aluminum foil wrapped on the ends.
