I had the incredible opportunity to take a media orientation flight with Thunderbird #7, Lt. Col. Kevin Walsh, the Operations Officer for the team. We flew over Stevens and Ferry Counties in Eastern Washington in advance of the Fairchild Airforce Base SkyFest.
The flight was about 1 hour and 15 minutes. When I edited out the barfing, this is what was left. Enjoy.

I love the way these pilots, both the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels talk during the flight like they are sitting in an office like its another day. The calmness is amazing

That's exactly how it is , you're watching this as someone who can't fly a jet , you have zero experience , you know nothing about flying , you've never experience being in a jet , you are bound to think this way
These pilots have many years experience so its probably like us driving a car down the highway . To them , its a breeze 😁
Her enthusiasm.......it's like watching a kid in a cady store. I was getting as excited as she was!

I'm so thankful for American Fighter Jet Pilot because everyone cannot do what they do they do what they do in efforts to protect our country thank you to all fighter jet Pilots.

The 8 point roll messed her up with her not controlling her head from going side to side, recovered enough to do really well, her excitement and enthusiasm kept her going as long as she could. What can be said about those pilots that hasn't been said already? Excellent skills, experience and knowledge and always so humble. Thank you all for your service from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 🙏

The thunder birds were here for our cherry festival on traverse city one year they flew over my apartment at Bay hill apartments and I waved and one Thunderbird waved his plane tail at me so cool made my day

What an experience! I am so jealous, lol. I would love to do this. I would be nervous a bit but once I was strapped in with mask on and visor down, I would show just as much excitement as her!

I spent 8 years in the AF, but was never offered a ride, but a tv meteorologist can.
Hi Michael. This is Kris, the meteorologist in the Thunderbird. THANK YOU for your service. I have tremendous respect for those who serve, and I have several Air Force veterans in my family tree, including a niece who was a meteorologist in the Air Force landing Blackhawks in sandstorms in Iraq. I think you have earned a ride 8 times over. I agree. I did absolutely NOTHING to earn that ride. I know that they do those rides for media people all over the country to promote the Air Force and the Thunderbirds and to generate interest in the air shows at which they perform. I think there should be a new program to give people who have given EVERYTHING to serve in the Air Force to experience the programs to which they provide CRITICAL support. I think you should be first. God bless you, and thank you again for serving.

My lifetime dream is to get a ride with the USAF Thunderbirds and be flown by non other than Lt. Col. Keven Walsh who now wears my POW bracelet. I served in the USAF from 1960 to 1964 (SAC) during the cold war times. Fingers crossed.

I went to grammer school with Kevin back on Long Island. I remember his family as well. He always loved planes back then. So glad to see what what has become of his hard work and dedication.
