It's our last Sunday, Disrupting Sin! Today's sermon is: Don't Get Over It, Get Through It! Pastor Quick walks us through how to get through life's challenges and complicated seasons in healthy ways, looking closely at how the Prophet Samuel gets through God's rejection of King Saul (1 Samuel 16:1-7). Below are three takeaways from the sermon:
1.Adjust Your Expectations: We shouldn't always be surprised when the enemy comes up against us as we try to take God-ordained steps.
2.Restoration: You must let things go and trust God to get what God has for you.
3.Participation: Get rid of people who do not have the right motives. Surround yourself with people who participate and follow God's directives.
