This is my favorite TH song, I've listened to every version -- and this is the best. (Second would be Rome.) I love how high the bass is in the mix. The vocals also great. Bravo!
The internal dialogue I hear in this song sounds to me like the entire cast of Seinfeld have just landed with all their endearing neuroses to debate over a cup of coffee...!!! 😀 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I love those talking heads performances where david is just like mumbling gibberish while it does show him checking out its so much fun and quite funny to me. But still fear of music is in my opnion one of the best albums and this is a great addition to my apreaction of this song.
The Ultimate...remember this in my headphones first proper time travelling age 18 on a ferry from Athens to the island Serifos (no city in sight!)...nuff said...
thank you bluntlaser! happy turkey day!!!! Still remember myself inside a radiator like a greenfluidgeenie ...viva fear of music.......beautifull Geneva Lake
The director had the option of opening the song with a shot of Tina working her bass, or, a closeup of David Byrne's shoulder. Sorry to see he went with the shoulder. This clip would lead one to believe that Talking Heads were David Byrne and a bongo player. Just criminal videography...
Great sound, although I prefer the live version from the concert in Rome from 1980. Anyway, the person on the camera obviously didn't know the song, otherwise he wouldn't have been doing mundane shots of various bandmembers instead of giving Alex Weir some credit during his solospot. But then he sticks so heavily on David Byrne during the song, that it actually seems like a David Byrne solo-gig and not a Talking Heads gig.
"Ga ga ga ga ga ga ba ba ba ba ba ba ba..."
You said it, David.
When David says “HUUUAAAAH? HUHHHHH,” it speaks to me 🥹🤚
Wonderful bass line
David Byrne was/is so fine!
mmm
Im fine too
Chris Franz's snare sounds like a whip crack! Great sound.
Triggers and u know this.
@@systemwide-errormy man, this is 1982. Are you fr
Probably the best performance of this song.
+Unsound Methods Best performance of this song is the one in the film Stop Making Sense. Check it out.
Is it in Stop Making Sense???? I've only seen that in cinema a looooong time ago. will check it out
Ah I see now. it wasn't in the cinema release!!!
i odnt remember this osng being on sop making sense
the best in my opinion was in Rome 1980 with Belew!
This is my favourite heads song
Un des meilleurs groupe des années 80 ❤
It would have been nice if they did more than film David Bryne's face... I heard there was an entire band there
Some people will complain about anything.
Talking heads member experience
@@mobius273 wah wah
He is beautiful x cameraman couldn't help it
@@Ami483 Sure but as a musician, I am interested in seeing musicians playing music, not lust... lol

if you like the rome one you should listen to the alternate take on the deluxe version of the fear of music record its pretty cool
also that rome perofrmance is incredible

The live stuff, especially the fun ones for them to play like this, are so fun to listen and watch
昔このベースが耳に残っていました、確かトーキングヘッデゥとか言ってたから検索したら当たり何十年ぶりに聞けてうれしです素晴らしいバンドですねー
What a performance.
radio also never plays it. one ofbtheir best tunes

Sos taaaan bailable, ingenioso, original, loco lindo ❤

Did I forgot to mention? Forgot to mention Memphis, home of Elvis and the ancient Greeks.
Great version! Thank you for sharing this.
what a band !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hate to be a wet blanket, but this song was so much better when DB played that relentless rhythm guitar on it.
I agree, I love Alex Weir but David Byrne is one of the best rhythm guitarists ever
Best coke song ever
you get it
Won't argue.
Fear of Music was powered by cocaine. Great album, although I prefer almost every song on the album. Studio versions are still excellent however
Too much g'dam white, alllll night.
I saw them about a month later in Toronto .I remember Weymouth being very pregnant, about six months along
🎶I'm checking them out, I'm checking them out,I got it figured out!! Huh! Uh! 🎶
....look over there a dry ice factory good place to get some thinking done....🧖♂️
Internal combustion perfection. Talking engines.
I think of this song every time I see a dry ice factory!
I go there to think👍
@@anthonyferguson4218 It is a pretty good place to get some thinking done.
I bet I would never know whether or not I drove past a dry ice factory.
Kings Lead Hat - they will come.
That was refreshing.
the heads were so tight by this time
Do you have more from this concert of this quality? Amazing sound!
David's work is beyond the pale.
Unique. Artist. David Byrne. The man.
Drum techs please analyze how Chris got that sound for his snare. Its so badass and would like to somehow tune mine like that.
This is a jewel. Thanks!
Byrne is just a classic head, bang bang!

I was thinking the exact same thing. A few shots of the actual other 3 band members would've been nice, especially Tina rockin' that cool bass line!
I dont hate David Byrne but yes, that was criminal
The factory i work in makes dust...i work in the clean room.
I forgive.never forget
"I smell home cookin'... it's only the river"...
thank you
Wonder why he doesn't sing: "Good points. Bad points." Oh well, love the Talking Heads!
He doesn't need to... he's David Byrne.
Sometimes he just sings "Huuuu-uh, huh-huh," which is actually cool as hell for some reason.
Good point.
WAOU QUE BUENOS SON EN VIVO SE OYEN GENIALES😊👏👍✔

With his performance, David does honestly make it his own. He full on screams at points, and just gives it all of his energy.
Comment if your flag is in the thumbnail (Trinidad & Tobago) 🇹🇹
mesmo q o david byrne seja móó gatinho podiam ter filmado os outros tbm né
👍👍👍👍👍😐
WHERE'S TINA????!!!!
Disappointing guitar solo, but nice performance none the less.
