Its a basic don't judge a book by its cover as the wolf knew about the mouse hence why he was dragging the fox away because he was trying to save him, but the fox was scared so he ran off. Still hungry he went over to the mouse and touched it which made it go after him and ate his shadow till he didn't exist anymore but the wolf ate the mouse and gave the fox back its life/colours proving he's a good guy.

It’s not a Disney short like the title says. It was an independent college project from a student. She did later go on to storyboard for Gravity Falls and Character design for Wander Over Yander, but this isn’t a Disney Short. Disney just likes to say they own things bc they’re running out of creativity :/
