This whole story is amazing because we were actually called to rescue two other dogs in the Los Angeles River, but luckily, Loreta spotted Candy running in the park. After saving the first two dogs, we went to investigate and discovered a whole family - mom and babies.
We didn't have the proper equipment for such rescue, so we drove
with the two dogs from the river to the hospital, then continued back to the office, grabbed our equipment and drove back to the location... a 3 hour round trip just to get back there.
You will have to watch the rest of the story to see what happens next and of course I will ask you to come back on Saturday for a dangerously epic rescue video!

The moment you grabbed the first puppy, the mom knew you were here to help. No agression and she came out friendly. Her instinct was right.
Momma dogs are so incredibly strong and brave it blows my mind.
This must be by far the most rewarding job there is. I’m so thankful for people like these guys! So thankful!

I’m a fan of all creatures’ right to live but can we just agree that flees are disgusting and cruel?

Can't agree. I mean don't get me wrong, if my pets or home had flees I'd kill them dead. But flees are not cruel. One can only be cruel if one does something horrible with the intention of doing something horrible, being aware they are doing something horrible, or get off on it. Flees aren't out there thinking, gosh I wonder which animals I can make suffer today, good times! they are just trying to survive as well. So no flees are not cruel. But neither are we when when we try to get rid of them to protect others from them. I would no be smirking in delight enjoying the masacre as I kill flees. But I would be super happy to help my dog be rid of them. Flees are not evil creatures though. No creature is just because of what kind of creature it is. Intend is what makes one evil and cruel. Wanting to survive and live is not disgusting nor cruel. People leaving dogs to suffer from flees, thats cruel.The flees themselves? Not so much.
