I shouldn't watch your videos when I haven't eaten yet.. 😋
lol no kidding
It always gets me also
You need to know these types of youtube videos are meant to be watched while eating 😂
😂😂😂😂 That's why I've periodically "muted" notifications on food channels that I am subscribed to. I be spending too much money randomly to buy ingredients to make food from channel like these.. lol 😂
The trick is to make food and then watch 🤣
I will never be able to eat a bagel without thinking about you guys that Bagel looked amazing. God bless you two.
I could almost smell the smoke and fresh salmon … Dungeness crab congee, chili rockfish, and the most beautiful smoked salmon … I don’t think you can top this perfect meal. All while on an island watching whales … Paradise❤
Im so spoiled by this channel its unreal, no other fishing channels can really compare because its a cooking show aswell. I am starting to learn how to fish purely for catch and cook thanks taku.
Who has been around since the first days??? when Chef was still at the restaurant?? I never have met you but I've known you for a LOOOOONG TIME... Keep grinding Chef
My fav peeps back in Alaska.
Taku truly amazing scenery and great friends to share the labor of your efforts. God bless you 🙏
Thank you for always taking us on your adventures! You’ve made a huge impact in my life
19:58 lil baby crab in the boat is hitch hiking lol
I didn’t realize I was drooling with the breakfast shot 😂
Taku these exquisite meals you cook in these campgrounds are just incredible.
The kiss of char on that bagel is the icing on that savory cake
I’m so addicted to this channel!!
This video was such a great way to unwind after a stressful day in traffic. Thank you :)
😍
God damn....I can't be watching this at this time of night....i already had dinner
Perfect video length! Watched the whole thing while I washed dishes, took out trash, brushed teeth, and laid down. The SECOND I hit the bed you played the outdo
Eating better than me and you guys are in the middle of nowhere! Crazy good food and video
Man that Dungee Congee and the loksa look like a great breakfast. Some salmon eggs Benedict with a slice of gruyere
Loving the peaceful vibe throughout this episode. One of the best that you guys ever made 🥰
Hey Taku, we need to have a chat my dude... I've long been a fan of adding some spice to nearly everything I eat, be it a little chili oil, countless hot sauces, Gochujang, onion or garlic chili crisp, even some homemade garam masala. My problem is that I finally went and ordered a jar of the Kelp Chili Crisp about a month ago, that jar lasted barely a week even though I felt like I was rationing it, I put it on everything... Once I noticed that there e was only 1/4th the jar remaining, I started panicking and immediately ordered two more, which I received 17 days ago and just this morning as I realized that jar #3 was nearing empty, so I ordered four (2 x 2-packs) more jars, but I'm currently sitting here with anxiety after Barnacle informed me that the estimated arrival is Wednesday, three days away.
The last time I can remember getting this addicted to a food product was over 7 years ago when I discovered genuine hatch chilis, but I could go a few days in between eating those, I haven't managed to go more than half a day before putting the Kelp Chili Crisp on or in something.
You've created a monster. I've tried tons of different chili crisps over the years, and while I've enjoyed them, none had this effect on me.
What the heck are you guys putting in those jars?
Should rename it Krack Chili Crisp.
My most sincere request, please, please, please ask Barnacle to offer a 16oz or 32oz jars? I'd gladly pay $35-$40 for 16oz jars, $65-$75 for 32oz. It would be nice to be able to order a jar that would last me a few weeks at a time.
I seriously hope you're proud of yourself Taku!
Tight lines 🎣
Those Bagels wowowowo :)
So much food for so few people!
Jo anne is really cute just happily observing!
So amazing as always... Much Love!
I'm over here eating pasta salad, and wishing it was that bagel..
What a beautiful view #peaceofmindisPRICELESS
Lived in Petersburg for 15 yrs and sport fished /Sumner Straits, the Wrangle Narrows and Frederick Sound for Everything. Most trips were for the Wily Chinook Salmon which used nearly the same setup you had there for the Coho. Throw a Shrimp or Crab pot out on the way to ur fishing grounds and if you got skunked fishing, you always had some Shrimp or Crab. Some Halibut trips you might accidently hook into a Chinook while you were letting line out or winding in. Good Times. the freezer was Always full.
The wife ran a smokehouse out of Charleston Ore for a while so smoking Salmon became a habit. Coho was always my favorite.
Oh and I have the same reel, really love it for mooching, I can see how deep my cut plug is to match my fish finder, sad Salmon season is over but I have a full freezer.
So jealous but so happy for you two!! Thank you for always bringing us on your trips to Alaska with you!
Special request: Can you do an episode on SEAWEED, the health benefits of Sea Weed, Nori , Sushi, and everything else associated with seaweed, including prostate health, and health in general. so far, all your episodes have been EPIC. Actually, super epic. ❤
Thank You, Taku and Jocelyn! I am drooling over myself watching you eat that bagel with smoked salmon!😊
You are an amazing Chef, That looks so delicious with the freshness of everything you cook and the brilliance of the fresh vegetables.
I’m hungry! Keep up the great work taku
I recently got my first jar of Kelp Chili Crisp and I must say it is awesome. Not too hot, a tiny bit sweet, and a nice SLOOOOOOW burn. So D@MN GOOD!
Living the dream
Can't watch this video while online, but i keep watching it offline and support by smashing like button
Such a blessing. Thank you for sharing this awesome experience.
Man that smoked salmon looked so good! The crab stew looked amazing too. I bet you all had a great time in Alaska and time to relax a bit.
Aloha. Worked at a remote fishing lodge in South East Alaska for four seasons as a bartender. When the coho bite was on, I would just flatline with a banana lead above the dodger. With manual downriggers, and one net, it was just less chaotic.
Probably one of my favorite videos. Great one! Love your adventures.
Aloha Chef Taku & joshlyn what a great adventure in Alaska from it’s majestic scenery to the fresh seafood caught and cooked. Salmon bagel at the wand looked so delicious and the crab congee all so good! MAHĀLO for sharing ur great adventure in all ur posts you both share 🤙🏾
wow very interesting experience friend
Wow, Look so nice, I love that.
Wonderful! I must admit, I believed the Halibut bait would win hands down! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to once again share your adventures.
Great video! Happy to meet you in person randomly at Fort Ross, CA fall festival. Thanks for sharing so many tasty adventures.
Straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Brother 👊🏼😎🤙🏼 ! Cheers y’all 🍻
we need an outdoorboys collab
I’ve been a follower since you and chef hiro were doing sushi and catch and cooks. I’m also half Japanese and never had sashimi or sushi until I was 50 years old! Now I have to have it every week haha. Love your content bro
Another delicious catch, cook and eat YT video. Thanks for sharing❤
A snag on an orca would be wild
One thing about using salmon carcasses for crab bait. It works well, but the seals like it as much as the crabs and will destroy a pot or trap to get to it. And might even drag it hundreds of yards in the process. Use what ya got, but be aware of the pesky pinnipeds.
Great video!
Taku, loved this adventure in smoked salmon, smoked on an Alaskan beach! Your adventures are awesome, proud to subscribe!
that last meal looked so damn good, love the vids btw🖤
Dam okuma are f generous huh? 💪💪👍👍
Hitting it out of the park again as usual. Great video Taku and Jocelyn. I liked the addition of sprouts on the bagels and smoked salmon. Also the ikura. Taku what kind of sprouts were those? Thanks for all your hard work to put out great content!
Bro, those bagels looked incredible!
Clams and Cockles are the best crab bait, and add some salmon carcass if you have it
That salmon deym
I think I liked this video twice lol. The result of that smoked salmon the bagel looked amazing!
good job bro
Eating a cup of noodles getting hungry all over again. Can't wait to see your cali edition videos. Representing our culinary treats by a cali master.
I always watch your videos! Fun stuff and the cooking at the end is the best !!!
Taku setting that bar so high! 😊
You try making Thai-style seafood dipping sauce too. It looks delicious.🇹🇭❤️
YUMMY
Another great adventure and cooking class! Thanks, Taku. I love your videos. What is the name of the island you were on?
Thank You for some more awesome content! Someone is getting a lot better at the up close focus on the cameras too. The comment is for future smoking, if you leave the bark on your alder you are using to smoke, it puts a bitter taste in the fish. Always remove the bark :) Pretty cool smoking method, though
The bagels at the end had me drooling
What an incredible trip and delicious looking meals. Fishing and cooking and fun people - a winning combination. Cheers!
Nice pole.
I love your channel! Been sub'd since the pandemic started, you never miss.
Awesome stuff! 👌 😊

That smoked salmon bagel/cream cheese with roe... WOW!!!
🐟食べたい❗️
I have a smoker and never used it, but I have never eaten seafood outside of fried tiny shrimp from the restaurants. I looked up the purpose for smokers and I am considering giving it a try with some of the white and red meats that I eat. I really enjoy these nature videos and use them as a guide for how to prepare meats and such.
How low temp can your smoker go? Can it go down to 50C/120F?
Mine is a modified store bought one that runs on propane. I love smoking meat, but my method takes 6+ hours.
The best smoked meats are big well marbled primal cuts however red meat is a bit outta my price range. The smoker kinda tricks me into thinking cheaper cuts from even white meat is so enjoyable that I don’t feel like I’m missing out on expensive cuts like beef ribs, tenderloin, and ribeye. Pork spare ribs and thick cut low and slow chuck steaks on oak, beech, walnut, hickory, apple, or cherry? I’ll definitely be satiated in the meantime between now and the next time I can afford something like king crab or ribeye cap. I have never even eaten American “wagyu”.
If you are a meat eater and you haven’t at least tried the stereotypical Texas BBQ spread… I don’t think you are living life to the fullest. As a Tennesseean, I hate Texas. The only good things to come outta Texas is Janis Joplin and the all mighty low and slow.
try something simple like a "chicken portion , ,, which ever piece you like ,,, taste any brine you make before subjecting your food to it ,,, soak meat in brine for a minimum of 1/2 an hour ,,, now try and dry it out as much as you can , now smoke it , experiment cos thats the only way for YOU to get what you want
@@dirtyfiendswithneedles3111 "The best smoked meats are big well marbled primal cuts" ? I prefer elk which is a very lean meat and nothing is more primal than harvesting your own meat and butchering it yourself. Look how lean that salmon he smoked was, I bet it was way more tender than stereo Texas shit. PNW knows how to smoke too, more than meats.
That all looks fab, dungee congee, love it 💜
Nice as aways !
dude Taku another incredible video, the smoked salmon bagel was next level. What brand was the camo jacket you were wearing at the very end?
amazing!
Living good!
Taku you guys should hook up with youtubers Outdoor Boys. They’re always in Alaska. Spend a lot of time in Japan too! 😁👍
Aloha. Love Outdoor Boys. Best dad ever. Don’t think he collaborates, haven’t seen it, and religion seems to be very important to him.
Wait aren't they in Mexico, Man i swear Flying on a Plane is like traveling in a Time machine.... Hella cool.
lmao. i just had a conversation with a friend about flying.. it's essentially time travel.
It IS hella cool!! Yesterday Taku was sipping on petrified hair water and here we are today bonking salmon night night. lol
maybe upstream water is clean, but at the mouth? i suppose it's OK since it's boiled. still...
looks like you were feeling real good lol red eyes
Yummy, Yummy all the way!!
Iv lobster fished for a long time. And one thing that seemed to make a pretty big difference with cathing those is to make sure theres a little bit of room in the bait pocket for the bait to be able to slosh around. If its packed too tightly only the outer surface area gets exposed to water to allow the smell to spread.
the more oily the fish the better bait.... more scent in the water.
I found your Chili Crisp at World Market like you said. Also out of all the like Chili Jars yours was almost sold out wow.
Thanks for the video !
You guys win.... You literally made me salivate...😋
Was that Manny Pacioao….pakeeeoh….pac yo?!?!?!
