Demons look for an opening (legal right) to your life. No, you don't have to beg God at all, just be sincere. The demons will look for legal rights to block you from communicating to God. You have to close those doors. God is always loving and kind. The devil lies to us even about God's true nature. He is the father of lies. If it's a lie you believe, it becomes your truth. That lie you believe about God will also allow the devil an entry point. His name is also Deceiver, and he is the master of deceipt. God laments in Scripture, "My people perish for lack of knowledge." Some of that is not knowing and believing who He really is and His true nature...how much He loves the humans He created. "Taste the Lord and know that He is good". The devils are happy to cause bad things and then direct you to blame God for their dirtywork.
It seems to me that we all need to dig very deep with whoever we have more than a casual connection with. We all need for sure to examine our family of origin dynamics. Our families are all to some degree dysfunctional. That alone can cause us to be oppressed/possessed by a demon.
Jesus said "Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world." The scriptures also say that the Light overcomes the darkness, not vice versa. Bob Larson is working with people that may have demons but he is not "catching them" per se, or he is vigilant to not "catch them" like a cold. If we are disciples of Jesus, then we can also follow Him, and do as He did, with the prudence to be led by God so that we can bring His Light, Truth, and deliverance plus salvation message of repentance and removal of anything residual to those in God's Harvest who are ready. Not true. I went through a deliverance after I got born again and received the Holy Spirit... it was the most real experience ive ever had. I wouldn't have even known unless the Holy Spirit within me didn't show me. I was having dominating thoughts and anxiety and needed deliverance from generational curses. Just because you get born again and receive the Hoyl Spirit doesn't mean an the demons automatically leave after that. They HAVE TO BE casted out. They don't just leave. Demons inhabit the soul. The will and emotions of a human. Not the spirit of a person...... ask God. It blew my mind when I found this out.
And also that word possessed in the bible is the Greek word demonized.... which means under the influence of.... how are Holy Spirit filled Christians still in bondage and dealing with suicidal thoughts and depression and addiction????
