LOL. 😂 Yes, I just did a trip from Florida to Colorado. Florida is quiet compared to the Northeast, but it got very quiet, as I went further west. (A little chatter near some major cities, but that’s it)
As opposed to the west coast where one calls their bookie to see what the odds are of getting through to a controller without stepping over someone else :)
Radio had been quiet for 15 minutes and I thought it had an issue. Check with ATC to make sure. I fly in the New York, which is much busier and ATC talks non-stop
I’ve found that a simple “You still there?” Is a quick and easy way to do it… happens a decent amount up here!
I enjoy the silence on the radio! But the first few times it made me a little nervous 😅

It's a welcomed silence, but it's a bit weird at times haha

Same thing in New York!
Flying in the North 'Radio Checks' are kinda my norm. Do they still know I'm here?
It’s very different from flying in the New York area… sometimes it’s almost impossible to get a word in!
Explain ?

Midwest. Lol. Soon as n90 switches you its radio silence.
You're not wrong haha
