Creepingdeath444 yah I think Johnny Cash actually died like right after it was released so it was like his saying goodbye song even though it was a cover
JBear Antonicic , it's also very fascinating to noye that in an interview, Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails, who originally wrote the song) said he felt like Cash's version was a more authentic rendition of the song. Amd in fact, in later performances, Reznor changed his performance to more closely resemble that of Johnny Cash.
It just has so much gravity and sincerity to it. Probably because Cash actually lived so many elements of the song in his own personal life. Good and bad, ugly and beautiful, tragic and triumphant.
You know...I honestly wasn’t expecting too much when I clicked on this. To put it lightly, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s pretty obvious you put a good deal of effort into editing the film pieces together to fit the song, and as far as I’m concerned, it payed off. This is probably the first thing related to Star Wars in years that I can honestly say reached me emotionally. Serious props, man.
if you think about it Star Wars is a story about love. Anakin becomes a jedi not only because he thinks they are cool but to save his mum because he loves her. Love makes him a jedi and he turns evil, becomes a sith lord and helps the emperor to destroy the republic because he wants to save the love of his life. After he failed to do so and after thinking that he lost his child he isnt able to feel anything anymore, not even love. But this changes when he discovers that he has a son. He starts to feel love again and the love for his son makes him kill the emperor and return to the light side again.
Anakin: Luke...don't be what he made me... Luke: "sobbing" Father! I've got to save you! Anakin: *grabbing his hand* Oh, you...already have...Luke. tell your sister....you were right...
Damn, I never thought of Vader with this song but now I won't be able to hear it without making the correlation. You did a great job painting the tragedy that is Darth Vader.
Johnny Cash and Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader Officially the greatest duo between reality and fiction. I can somewhat imagine in the end, young JR's heart returning from Cash's. Saying to John Carter, "You were right about me. Tell your sister you were right."
Most of what I'm seeing in the comments is how some people are saying that it's someone's fault that Anakin was inducted into the Jedi Order and that he shouldn't have ever been in there to begin with because of his actions and his past. To those people: do you even wonder what would have happened if Anakin NEVER started out as a Jedi or never became one to begin with? Do you ever think that maybe Anakin's whole Chosen One Prophecy had transpired exactly to how the Force had wanted it to happen? Sure, Anakin showed alot of traits that would label him as a Sith. But even so, he was still as much a Jedi and a Human as the next Jedi or Sith. He also wasn't the most orthodox Jedi of his time. In fact, if you were to look at the Master-Apprentice lineage starting from Count Dooku to Qui-Gon Jinn to Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin Skywalker and finally to Ahsoka Tano, you're pretty much looking at a long line of Jedi who are almost entirely unorthodox and they have struggled to stay on the path of the Jedi. Some more than others, if you get my meaning. If anything, this shows that they were more human than they were Jedi. Also, let's not forget that all that Anakin had done when he became Vader, he thought he was killing the Jedi for Padme's sake. Sure his morals got twisted and such. But isn't such a thing often the danger of being a Jedi or Sith? Forsaking and denying the part of you that is a living and feeling person for the sake of a religious and mystical branch of the Force? If anything, the Great Jedi Purge was a miracle compared to what the Jedi would have done to themselves had their Order continued on as it had done (the Clone Wars PROVES this, just look at Barriss Offee and Pong Krell). Also, the whole Chosen One Prophecy was open to interpretation. None of the Jedi knew what "balance" truly meant, not even Yoda. If anything and Judging from what happened in both Episodes 3 and 6, I believe that "balance" meant that Anakin had to destroy both the Jedi AND the Sith, leaving the Force to be able to make both the Jedi and the Sith better than what they once were. And let's face it, the Old Jedi Order was far from perfect. The same can be said for the Sith.
Very nice, great editing. I would cut out Vader throwing the emperor or move it to the very end. Obi-Wan confronting Vader transition to Obi-Wan confronting Anakin is perfect.
I heard this song today and thought how perfectly it would fit with Darth Vader, I thought I’d search on UA-cam to see if anyone else agreed and it seems that you do! Thank you so much for making my day dream a reality 😊
Vader actually had crippling depression after rots. Palpitine gave him a choice of suits one that makes him powerful or one that makes him weak. To make amends for what he did he chose the weaker suit
We actually have six! You may not have heard off them though, they weren’t very popular they were called: The Phantom Menace Attack of the Clones Revenge of the Sith A New Hope The Empire Strikes Back Return of the Jedi
Vader couldn’t hide from his past, no matter how hard he tried. In the end, it turned out to be a good thing, as it gave him the resolve to stop Palpatine from killing Luke.
Dear GENERALBRUISER3! Incredible and sad video. Beautiful, sad and emotional song. Master work!!!!! Congratulations!!!!! I love the song!!!!! I love it!!!!! I like this!!!!! It's like the song tells Vader's life story. Excellent song choice for Darth Vader. Excellent and incredible footages. Keep up the creative work! The video was an experience!!!!!!!!!! Thank you much!!!!!!!!!! Regards! Red Rose
Don't get me wrong, I luv Hurt. it's one of my favorite songs. And Star Wars is my favorite series of all time. but Hurt is a very old school song, with elements of sadness (which is perfect 4 Vader). The song just didn't encompass the Star Wars story to me. I still luv the vid tho.
"If I could start again, a million miles away".
I'm not crying, you are
That part really hit me when all the flashbacks started
This song fits perfectly with his story. He gave up everything he loved for power and a vessel full of regrets.
But in the end, still found a way
it’s actually sad. the thing he loved the most, he ended up killing. love is a double edged sword.
'' That's how it starts. The fever. The rage. The feeling of powerlessness that turns good men cruel. ''
This song is actually so perfect for Vader!!
true Anakin/Vader was great character than to end together with Luke
The last 30 seconds of this song always gets me
Creepingdeath444 tell me about it
Creepingdeath444 yah I think Johnny Cash actually died like right after it was released so it was like his saying goodbye song even though it was a cover
Same

Is he the Chosen One?
.......he is
.......he.....shall......avenge us
Nicster216 Maul was right...
................ So many dots
Right in the feels.
Ikr
2:20 that is actually a REALLY COOL TRANSITION
Thank you, glad you liked it!!

Luke: Obi-wan.. what did you do?
Obi-wan: ...The Jedi... there gone now...
They're*
What is this meme? I see it everywhere, example:
Oliver: Barry... What did you do?
Barry: ...Heroes.... They're gone now...
Me to Me: What did you do
Me to Me: The brownies....their gane now
It's from the Logan tralier
Yoda: Obi-Wan... what did you do?
Obi-Wan: Yoda, the galaxy's not the same as it was. ...The Jedi... they're gone now.
SpeedyEric1 That's actually pretty good.
Anakin: Luke...don't be what he made me...
Luke: "sobbing" Father! I've got to save you!
Anakin: *grabbing his hand* Oh, you...already have...Luke. tell your sister....you were right...
Cash Lannister is this from a book?
Charline Thom I'm not sure. I made that quote a mix between Wolverine's death scene and Anakin's. But maybe it's in a Star Wars book.
Anakin: so this is what love feels like
Damn, I never thought of Vader with this song but now I won't be able to hear it without making the correlation. You did a great job painting the tragedy that is Darth Vader.
1:48 to 1:57 are just perfect. THIS WHOLE THING IS SO PERFECT!
How dare you give me these feels.
the scenes and the lyrics fit perfectly together
This song is really how i feel about my life, i always see to push the ones i friends and love ones away
If anyone feels like they need to cry...then watch this.No offense this is a great and awesome video but it is very sad.

Not gonna be able to hear this song anymore without picturing Logan.
Such a shame
Same. I kept waiting for the drum beats.
xAd I think it fits them both.
Maybelline loyalist
This is so fitting

I was just enjoying the editing until that end verse. That actually brought tears to my eyes as a huge Anakin/Vader fan
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
All I'm surrounded by is fear.... And dead men
Perfect selected scenes
No one will ever voice Darth Vader like James Earl Jones. 😢🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
My empire of dirt hit me ☹️and all the flashbacks
Damn good song to describe Darth Vader!
It really brings all the feels. Well done!
Wow holy crap I’m crying. Thank you for this amazing edit
Amazing piece of work. Captured Anakin and Vader in the same person perfectly. 🤯🤯🤯
I heard this song today and thought how perfectly it would fit with Darth Vader, I thought I’d search on UA-cam to see if anyone else agreed and it seems that you do! Thank you so much for making my day dream a reality 😊
Great Video well crafted for Darth Vader
William Huffer also for The Batman!!
Vader actually had crippling depression after rots. Palpitine gave him a choice of suits one that makes him powerful or one that makes him weak. To make amends for what he did he chose the weaker suit
@@subjectnether959 I highly doubt that.
I've got sand in my eye TT_TT
Hebiakatsuki I don't like sand
i think you mean sad in your eye
I’m back after like a year and that flashback sequence still hits me right in the feels
This was out before Logan... think about that.
Wow this is amazing. One of my favorite songs beautiful spliced with one of my favorite characters
Great job. I love this song and Star Wars and you did a nice job applying to Anakin' story. love the flash backs.
Well made
i cried
one of the best versions I've seen yet! nicely done!
Shit, twentieth time and this still made me cry.
A Darth Vader solo movie would be nice :))
Konrad Sutherland 1-6 about
We actually have six! You may not have heard off them though, they weren’t very popular they were called:
The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Star wars theory is making one
Agreed and let Christopher Nolan direct it
Rest in Peace James Earl Jones 😭
Beautifully done!
Dammit... the only think I could think of at the very end of this video was the damn harmonic vader video..
Anakin.... you still have time.
You really brought that home at the end. Good job!
pretty sure this is my favorite Hurt Starwars music video. 👍 👌
WOW... Nice tribute, the music fits perfectly
This was awesome! Really loved the transitions.
The perfect song for him
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🥺 its so god dam beautiful amazing job.
Padme enjoyed the other mechanical attachments Anakin could afix to his arm.
This potentially funny comment is so inappropriate for this particular video that it actually crosses such a line as to become funny again.
Love this.
Damn, I was wondering did a Darth Vader cover. LOL
This is pretty amazing.
Holly shit the feels...
Anakin was always a slave. Either to Watto, Jedi, or Sidious.
And in death, he is free at last.
He wasn’t a slave to the Jedi. I wish people would keep saying that. He could’ve left any time he’d wished
Vader couldn’t hide from his past, no matter how hard he tried. In the end, it turned out to be a good thing, as it gave him the resolve to stop Palpatine from killing Luke.
Tears. Fucking tears. Good job mate.
Imagine watching this for the first time... Again
This is one of the best star wars tributes ive ever seen good job
This is incredible
Goosebumps! This needs more views!
A good fitting song for Darth Vader.
Dear GENERALBRUISER3! Incredible and sad video. Beautiful, sad and emotional song.
Master work!!!!! Congratulations!!!!! I love the song!!!!! I love it!!!!! I like this!!!!!
It's like the song tells Vader's life story. Excellent song choice for Darth Vader.

The video was an experience!!!!!!!!!! Thank you much!!!!!!!!!!

It fits so we'll when he said I wear this crown of thorns aka vader's helmet bc it hurt for him to wear and upon his liars chair aka palpatine
chills..
.....wow.
I need this updated with Vader vs. Ahsoka Rouge One, and maybe the last line verses can be Kylo Ren and Vader's helmet.
It’s perfectly fine as is without any of the new stuff in it
Love, like pain, needs to be let out or it turns to poison...
That's amazing
Великолепно! Отличный монтаж.
Very nicely done!
More like my empire of sand.
May he rest in peace 29 Nov 2020
Anakin… You still have time…
Vader:So this is what it feels like...
😢😭😭

Fantastic stuff but could have just as easily been Obi Wan
👍
This video makes me crie
:'(

Why doesn't this video work on mobile?
+GENERALBRUISER3 It just seems weird that I can watch it on my computer but not on my phone.
Logan.
right now this song is how im feeling because my girlfriend left me...

It’s supposed to reflect Vader specifically and it does that very well.
to the beautiful woman who liked me in 8th grade I'm so sorry
👍
