Thank you for the Cormac McCarthy reference! My favorite author by a longshot! Sounds like an interesting game, but I think if I were between this an Zombicide, I would have to go with Zombicide.
I tried hard to like this game but from the start with the art to the lack luster minis and just eh gameplay, I haven't brought it out on a game day yet.
Sooo many pieces. I have the walking dead board game from z man games and it has a TON of pieces as well. Makes people not want to play the game once they see how many bags of pieces I have lol.
A little vagueness? You are being faaar too kind. The rule book is a disasterpiece of epic proportions. That being said there is a decent game lying underneath it all. It just really needs a lot of tweaks which I understand they are working on now.
This is one of the worst board games I have played. Exactly everything is a huge mess. Moving miniatures is a choir. Movement rules and how things play out are both stupidly imbalanced and clunky. Don't buy this game if you like polished and well rounded games (that can still provide significant challenge than being a total random fest you can't impact)

I love Zombicide. It's super easy to get new people into and tends to have a lot of exciting moments.
Great review. I enjoyed the information you gave for Zpocalypse.
The moon the z's card kind of killed it for me. :p
I enjoyed Zpocalypse, but I agree about the darkness. Very emotionally draining game, but I enjoy it

Agreed. That rulebook LOOKS pretty, but it's laid out like a train wreck.
