Hi! If you can remember, how much starch was needed to cover your 10'8" x 7'8" for the baby's room? I am using the same brand of starch you did. I have only found it in 2 Quart (64 0z) bottles. Thank you!
Very Nice. Any thoughts on any damage to the walls if you decide to take it off? I hesitate to put up wallpaper, I took down some border couple years ago and it took off some of the sheetrock(?). I don't know how to repair it, my reason about the fabric/starch question. I love toile.
Thank you! There was no damage to the wall! I did a video of the removable 2 years later (linked below)! You can do this same process with NONpasted wallpaper or any fabric. I have done it a few times since. Tag me on Instagram @candacecottet if you do it. 💕 ua-cam.com/video/qazyLgfmst8/v-deo.html
I personally did not. I didn’t want it to wrinkle. It would be up to your preference. I did test a swatch of the fabric first to make sure the fabric starch didn’t bleed. You need to get it pretty wet with liquid starch to stick.
This exact fabric is Covington Toile and is $17/yard on OnlineFabricStore.net. (linked above). We ordered 10 yards and had a bunch left over! Better safe than sorry. The wall we did is 10’8″ x 7’8″ - It was less than $200 to do the wall with all supplies needed. You can also do this with non-pasted wallpaper. I did our whole laundry room for under $130 which was 200 sq feet of wall!
You're doing it the correct way.

This is amazing. So far has it bubbled or started peeling?
Where did you get the fabric?

@@candacecottet5721 Non pasted wallpaper, Interesting.......I do have some of that. Thanks!
Lol, I have the same color toile and I’m thinking of doing that to my bedroom wall! 😊
Yes! I can't wait to see. Did you do it?
Hi! About how long did it take for the starch to dry before you felt safe enough to cut the edges off? Thanks!
About an hour or so. You can leave it for as long as you like. Make sure its dry to the touch and you are ready to go.
Did you wash your fabric first?

how expensive was the fabric for the wall?

Instead of the noticable, bulky seams the seams of the fabric can be lined up if the print extends to the edges.
Great tutorial--thanks for posting.
In my older daughters room I did this tactic and it worked out great. It depends on how the edge of the fabric is cut. But great point.
