Just saw them yesterday, 13/11/22, at the Westwood Hotel in Footscray Melbourne...I use to see them back in the 80's...and theyre still a fun band to see!!
Hard-ons we're the first Punk band I got into. It was the summer of 1987. Was in a record store (Camelot Music I think). Found the cassette of their 1st US release just called Hard-Ons...bought it on a whim from the discount bin for a like $3 thinking it kind of a joke & good for a laugh. But it blew my mind! Just amazing! Before that day my biggest likes were Buddy Holly & the Beach Boys from my dad's musical influence. I got into the Ramones after the Hard-Ons because of a mention by the Hard-Ons in a song & a guy named Tom who went to my highschool & was a huge Ramones fan. Was crazy to realize a buddy Holly & the Beach Boys influenced both Hard-Ons & Ramones as they had influenced me. But the Hard-Ons are still go this day one of my top 5 bands/artists ever! Unfortunately I never have seen them live but I live in the US in Georgia so unless they were to hit Atlanta likely they will remain the zone that got away" 😂
Thanks for Uploading, Must have seen the Hard Ons 40+ times in the mid '80s, great to see Hay Ho Jethro, Phill, Lismore Anne, Ferdie etc in the audience. For some reason Blackie reminds me of Andy in this Vid ?,
Had Many a sweaty night at the old St James tavern in the city..and thursdays at Seven Hills tavern...80's had a great metal underground following in Sydney
woa woa woa, woa-woah x2 theres a girl in a very nice sweater i'd like to get to know her heaps better do you think that girl will walk with me? see her eyes see how they shine they freak me out every single time yeah i hope that girl will walk with me
[Chorus] see her walking home from school the way she moves is really cool everything that girl does touches my heart then she goes a-walking by yeah i think she gave me the eye yeah ya know ive got to play it smart
It was always a fuck'in great night when the guys played @ East Leagues Club in Brisbane, fuck me it was always packed but I was always able to stage dive the night away!! 80's punk..
Hilarious. Past 1975, EVERYBODY ripped off the Ramones. Most of it was awesome. the Ramones themselves ripped off early 60's girl groups. Derivative doesn't necessarily equal bad :)
to the guy I randomly started talking to in the Pig and Whistle. Eagle St. As a lover of punk - THANK YOU for the recommendation :) Punk's not dead! we just go the bed at a reasonable hour

This song is now over 36 years old and still great. Reminds me of when I saw the band at the Prince of Wales all those years ago....
