We had promised to visit some other parts of Argentina and this is our first video from another city called Mar Del Plata. Let us know in the comments section below what you thought of this city?
More about Mar del Plata, just 2 more museums, the Castagnino Art Museum hosts a nice collection plus drawings by the "marplatense" painter Juan Carlos Castagnino. Indeed, the building is remarkable, a former private palace which encloses some mysteries, doors leading nowhere, or who knows where... just stroll around and discover! The Natural Sciences Museum is small but delightful, it includes a medium-sized dinosaur and an aquarium. The Torres de Manantiales Hotel is a 29-story high building near Playa Varèse, you can go by lift to the Observation Roof (free admission). Wouldn't recommend the restaurant though, had a not-too-good experience. And please do not miss the coffee (or the food, the bakery etc) at La Fonte D'Oro chain! (branches everywhere)
If you are still in mar del plata i recommend you to drink a coffee in the house of Victoria Ocampo and also to visit some beach towns that are like an hour away like Carilo or Costa del Este.

We loved the city, even though it was a bit windy 😊. Thank you for the kind words and for the information that you shared with us🙏 we hope you enjoyed the video 😊 All the best 👍
About the Havanna alfajor: Havanna used to be an artisanal factory up to the 90's, when it was aquired by a major international food corporation that industrialized the production. Even when they tried to preserve the original quality and flavors, the industralization proccess introduced changes noticeable for those of us liking the original ones. True is, since then Havanna introduced newer great products and alfajores flavors, but we've missed the otiginal ones for a long time. It turns out that, with the acquisition they let go several cooks that were key in the artisanal process but unrequired for the industrialized one, so they paid them off in exchange of the signing of non disclosure clauses about the original recipes, lasting a decade or so. Then some of the original coocks joined or were summoned to reproduce an alfajor with the original flavor to be artisanally manufactured, of course without telling so, yet it become evident for those of us missing the flavor, and then the word spread. The brand is Cachafaz, that you may find in regular kiosks although it's on the most expensive price range. If you love Havanna, I recommend you to try a Cachafaz.
Thank you so much for the information about Havanna alfajores. So many details about it that only locals will know. Also we will try the other brand of alfajor. Thanks!!
You have been to the most popular spots I should recommend Varesse ,Playa Grande ,Barrio Los Trocos and Playas del Sur that have and other vibe Good job as always!

Hi guys, amazing video! Luccianos is also a relatively new brand that has amazing alfajores. They also have their factory in Mar del Plata. They have nothing to envy from Havanna alfajores, and the price is a little bit lower. Cheers.
Ohh wow, very interesting! We have always had their ice cream, but now that you mentioned it, we will definitely try their alfajor too, just to compare it with Havanna. Thanks for watching our video and for keeping in touch; we really appreciate it 👍
The symmetrical buiding at the right of the Casino and the plaza is not another Casino, but the Provincial Hotel, one of the city's best. You should have been inside to admire the massive, strange murals by the architect Alejandro Bustillo, these are worth seeing. In-between the posters do not show a cinema, but the Auditorium Theater Complex, worth taking a ticket and enjoying a good show in any of its different rooms. There are several other theaters in the city as well as a concert hall, the Teatro Colón on San Martín Square next to the Cathedral... which you also missed, woe is me!
I love your videos!!! Thank you for sharing, I hope you are enjoying your time in Argentina!! If you can, try to go to Carilo, a tiny town in the coast of the province of Buenos Aires, just a 4 hs drive from the capital, I think you will love there!
Thank you for watching our video! We really appreciate your kind, lovely comment and we hope you enjoyed the content🙏😊 All the best and please do keep in touch 👍
Hola chicos!
Thanks for your lovely, kind comment 😊 We absolutely love Mar Del Plata and we are glad you enjoyed the video. All the best! Big hugs and kisses to you 😉😊🙏🇦🇷
Hello People!!Touring Marpla!Good!this place was during many years a place where the upper class siento the summers till 1945 more or les after during the Peron régimen they to Uruguay and founded Punta del Este now a famous and very exclusive place.
😉 no worries at all; you don’t need to apologize. The fact that you take the time and make the effort to keep in touch with us, means the world to us. Thanks again amigo 👍😉
Welcome to Mar del Plata! If you let me, the Central Casino beach was the original one (btw the next building is the NH Provincial Hotel, connected underneath to the Casino so it's all a single buiolding, including the yard at street level in between), it is the most popular mostly because it's a walking distance from downtown, however it's not the locals' preferred beach, since there are miles of beach stretching, mostly to the south and past the port, some more touristy with ammenities, other more rustic, the preferred by surfers, and even isolated ones for nudists. You may enjoy an Uber ride along the coast up to the lighthouse at the southern verge of the city, and if so you may also like to visit Bosque de Peralta Ramos, an inhabited woods with cute houses, artisanal fair and some pretty calm restaurants and bars, specially La Casa del Te, a former wood house turned into a finnesse fairy tale style tea house featuring no two identical tea cups.
Oh what a pity! You missed the BEST places to visit in Mar del Plata! 1. With your Uber, you passed by the MAR Contemporary Art Museum which is outstanding. Exhibitions feature a wide span of artistic interactive experiences, in chronologic order, lots of fun! 2. Villa Victoria, a place of remarkable historic significance, you could have taken the exciting guided tour and enjoy the best coffee & bakery in the Tea House (another Museum, the Historic Archive with its Observation Tower, is just 1 block away) 3. The Casa del Puente (Bridge House) a unique architechtural design, by Amancio Williams who seems to have had the Time Machine to see 150 years ahead... this is a one-only place and especially thrilling!
We visited the beaches, but we did not swim because for us it was a bit cold. The sand and the water are also a bit darker compared to the beaches in Brazil. Most Argentinians go to Brazil to go to the beach 🏖️
@@global_citizens we're going to Brazil mostly because nowadays it's cheaper due to the exchange rates. Most Argentinians vacations are lead on budget, so you will find most of us wherever it's cheaper.
Mar del Plata features Cabo Corrientes, that's currents cape, named after the fact that Coriolis effect makes the cold currents coming from the South meet the hot ones coming from the North to turn away towards Africa across the Atlantic Ocean. Depending on the weather and winds, some days you get more northern waters or southern ones, and the temperature has a wide range from 4⁰ to 20⁰ C.
