Such a nice channel! Thank you very much for the useful information, and your videos are very well done! I'm getting my Open Water certification now, so it's really interesting to find channels like yours, and learn something new. Keep up the good work!

My 3 cents. when you tie at 2:38 any basic shoelace knot is and "Overhand Knot",
So I would personally do a right over left first, but I suggest making a second loop right through once more making it a "double overhand knot" tighten it, rock it a little then make a left over right. Making it a "double overhand square knot". Also on each end you can put a overhand knot slide into place. then melt it.
You know what they say big scissors, big........cuts. :)

Great video thanks mate. Can you tell me, there are two versions of this, one as your showed and the other that you can tie it to the hose. The argument against attaching to the hose itself is that it will cut the hose. Do you agree with this?

Don't knives cut through zip-ties too...or just twist them if they're so easy to break 😄😄😄

You can use either. I had a line fray/break and fixed it with a ziptie on a dive boat and it stayed that way for 3 years without any problems. The line method is better but if you need to, you can use a ziptie to save a dive.
