I have no words to express how much I admire Grace Jones as an artist and a woman. I was 13yrs old when I watched Grace Jones performing La vie en Rose on TV and I was immediately intrigued and I still am. Now I'm 56 and I can still start screaming out of excitement when I see or listen to her. To me she will always be the ONE & ONLY MISS GRACE JONES !!!

The tribal markings on her are unique & I love her head dress. What’s interesting is that I’m not hearing anyone in the comments, saying that she’s too old to be dressed like this and things like that. That is so refreshing! Especially when you take into consideration, the backlash that Madonna has received at 60. To me, it’s really hard to compare the two. How the palace said yes to that I will never know, but Elizabeth is laughing so hard she's almost in tears. You see her telling people nearby how much she's loving it. It's the only time she's really emotional in the whole program. A unique performer, still entertaining and great sounding at 75. only ever saw her live once and what a performance. she paved the way for so many female perfomers.
Considering her heyday was during the disco and Studio 54 drug RELIGION and promiscuity run amuck, you have to hand it to her to have outlived a lot of her collegues. She survived all of that and still lives to perform and draw fans. I have to applaud her for that, she was never a main stream artist but a lot of main stream artists died young.
