I really hope this doesn't become a new movie trend: stopping the movie abruptly with a to be continued sign. it's a movie, not an episode of a weekly tv show.
Okay, so one of two things. Either you want 4 hour movies or you want a movie that butchers the source material. Crises are comic events. Do you know what that means? The story is spread out over multiple series as well as the titular main series. After all is said and done, the issues are collected in a trade once the event wraps. That's a lot of material to cover for a film adaptation.
That's DC pandering to Batman for ya. God like characters? Oh yeah sure the minions can toss em around. But Batman? Noooo, can't have him get his butt handed to him now can we.

Aren’t they supposed to be anti-matter/shadow nightmares creatures? And yet they can be kicked, shoot at and die, and exploded way too easily. These things are not even a challenge for Robin. The Ultron robots are more deadly and threatening, and these are minions of a cosmic god? Dude should’ve stick with the anti-matter waves, that was a lot more threatening.

apokolips war had many huge impact while this huge event is bland…. the only thing dc did good was the death of the crime syndicate on part 1 where’s pariah? he should be on this movie

my theory: Everyone was saying how DC movies sucked and how DC animated shows/movies were god tier. So, they cancelled Young Justice and fired the animators and writters to force people to watch the live action shit shows/movies and now nobody watches anything DC.

To be fair they’re like that in the comics too. The shadows are just generic black whispy things that kill you if they touch you (Batman should disintegrate upon contact… not be able to punch them…) But the big bad final ‘shadow’ should NOT look remotely like that. That’s the Anti-Monitor. His actual design is very different from what they decided to do here. Hes like… the biggest big bad in DC for a while until power creep and shitty writers made him not as imposing. (Seriously Darkseid, Krona, Anti-Monitor… whose the next cosmic mega villain we’re humanizing and turning into a chump?)

Hal offed himself, bound Nekron to himself with sheer willpower as a dead being, used him to kill Volthoom, then willed himself back to life and Nekron back to the void. The "Great Darkness" had a bunch of major villains under it... but they all acted like weak dumb versions of themselves. Like... idk why DC thought that would be cool. "Lets bring in a ton of big bads and have them fight generically and not use any of their powers!" Jon Kent was 1v4ing Doomsday, Darkseid, Nekron and Neron or Eclipso or something crazy. Why even bring in the big bads?!

This is a MAJOR DC storyline from ‘84 I think, probably the most important story in DC. Aaaaaand the animated team is ruining it. I fully agree, it looks way more like the first avengers movie than the actual Crisis story.

Since 2011 lol, everything since flashpoint has been garbage for the animation. They ruin every storyline they touch and remove any nuance and good writing. Like… all they have to do is replicate the story they’re using and they can’t even do that.
