Idk if you have discovered this yet but D.Va can eat his ult if she looks up & catches the "rain" with defense matrix. Though it only protects herself, and no one behind her or anything.
The spikes are just projectiles, so this works with anything that can block/eat projectiles. Barriers like Rein shield, “eat” abilities like D.Va’s DM, Genji’s deflect, and Zarya bubbles all work as well.
hazard is genuinely so fun he's all i've been playing for the past couple days, most likely gonna main him he's my kinda play style, the team outdid themselves on this one
me too (once my ps5 gets fixed) the couple of minutes i plaid reminded me SOOOO much of how i felt playing Queen so im definitely gonna pick him up and get back to tank!!

He reminds me a lot of JQ or Doom in the sense that he is a fun skilful character who isn't game-breaking. That also means that he gets bullied by Hog, Oris, Mauga...
Actually he's really good vs mauga Block on a resource Denny's cardiac he can evade his stomp and stop him from running away with wall and his ult can lock him still for your whole team to beat up
@@cooltwittertag I don't think he's as broken as say Mauga was on release or even peak JQ. His kit seems pretty balanced for what it does and if anything they'll slightly nerf some numbers (I think maybe to his block) but otherwise he's fun, consistent and not oppressive.
I had heard one my my friends complain cause hazard was to broken rn, like i get him being able to take high ground is annoying but he aint broken hes fun hes not OP hes not mauga hes not orisa hes just overall a fun tank whos ironiclly really balanced rn
We are not playing the same game, hes just another tank that forces death ball. Instead of having a cool new way to deal dmg or provide defense he’s just another dps that has inflated health value.

He doesn't need nerfs. In an actual comp game all the other tanks have tools that counter him or just flat out out damage him or block more damage. He's the only tank in the game that can't kill through a mercy pocket on a squishy other than Winston. But Winston has better mobility and bubble makes his dives much safer.

@@sealzplays5876 from the games i've played so far (10+), every game hazard seems to underperform when compared to the other tanks. Whenever one team has hazard and the other has another tank, the other team just always wins. Could be just coincidence that it happened 10+ games in a row or people just aren't that good with hazard yet, but he feels pretty underwhelming from my experience.
@@joeysmit4644 Dawg....he's been out for 2 days. in quick play. nobody is good with him yet, anyone playing other tank probably has experience on that tank in comparison. there is no data that is remotely useful for balancing, more just to see how he plays in casual environments and to excite people for next season.
The last 3 heroes we've gotten - Venture as DPS, Juno as support and now Hazard on tank - have all been really fun IMO. Maybe Juno is a bit strong but she's not broken and could do with some tuning, and Hazard looks broken and overstacked on paper but doesn't feel unfair to play against.
I have noticed that in the play test of a new hero there's in almost all the games a sombra that doesn't let u play the new hero, it happens me with Illari, it happens me with Juno, Mauga, and now with Hazard, those players are the real demons
He melts easy if the team actually looks at him. Ana zen alone can kill him with sleep nade and discord. He needs Kiri even more than mauga to be viable.
People are complaining that he’s just another dps tank. People also forget that a tank’s job isn’t to shield you, it isn’t to frontline (not always anyways). It’s to make space and secure it. This guy does that pretty well. I think he’s such a unique mash of character abilities!

What do you mean unkillable? Sure, his block is good, but he is definitely killable. It’s kinda like doom, just wait for one or two of his cooldowns to go away and he isn’t going anywhere
I don't know how I'll feel about it. I've only played ow2 so I'm not so sure on 6v6...after all. Classic made me want to uninstall more than any 5v5 game. Lol

Why do you keep on going for the melee after his dash when 90% of the time it pushes them out of range, making just shooting your gun infinitely more consistent AND do more damage????
My take on what to buff and nerf on Hazard - Increase weapon ammo from 8 to 10 or 12 - Increase the weapon spread by 12%. - Increase primary fire damage per pellet from 7.5 to 8 - Increase horizontal range on ability 1 by 8% - Decrease dmg reduction on secondary fire from 75% to 65% - Increase range and width of secondary fire by 2 meters - Decrease ult range by 5 meters and increase ult width by 3 meters
The block doing auto damage is kinda broken. I got so many free kills with it. Maybe it should instead do some kind of debuff instead of damage. Like reducing movement, firerate, or maybe some kind of effect buildup instead.
His gameplay is amazing, engaging and most importantly VERY fun. This makes it sting even more that he has such an atrocious, bland and overall boring design :(

I personally don't mind his design as is. But i do also like his original ow1 concept design a bit more. I think he right now kinda looks like an Arcane Zaunite character, and I love Arcane, so im just being biased 😂

Not really, his leap doesn't send him too far. All the crazy roll outs you see people doing are just for Reddit posts. Do that in comp and your team will already be dead by the time your done trying to set everything up.

His Ultimate is underwhelming right now. Should create a damaging field of spikes, on top of what it already does, to fit his name better. A small buff to his homing spike range would go a long way to make it not feel so bad. I get he's meant to be a close-range guy, but those spikes wouldn't be OP if they could reach just slightly further. Similarly, they should slightly increase the the width of his wall to allow for more consistent boops when aimed at a wall. Right now it feels like a complete gamble on if you'll actually shoot someone off a ledge or somehow just nudge them forward/back a little bit.

I plan on getting him to GM when he fully releases, my highest rank is only Plat 4 so it will be difficult

Yeah nothing can fix that, not even 6v6 as tank is jus a boring role in most games
So just queue dps and support if that’s what you want to play. They give you the option

Hazard often uses is block to stall until leap returns. You can hinder/cc him at the end of block to destroy him.

Nah, its easy to get away from once you learn, you only ever get kills from unaware players or ppl that think they can tank it

The block is basically a winston left click. You can avoid it by simply backing away

winston ball doom and diva have more mobility he gets obliterated in every single tank duel thats why hes balanced

Brother they hit everything in a huge area, go through walls, deal 100 damage, and lock out their movement for a long time. It's fine lol
