A children's hospital in the besieged Ukrainian city of Mariupol has taken a direct hit from Russian rocket artillery, destroying part of the building and leaving children buried in the rubble, in what Ukrainian President Zelensky has called 'an atrocity'. Video revealed a rubble-strewn car park outside the hospital buildings where the wreckage of vehicles smouldered while injured families stumbled into the freezing air while snow fell around them. More footage showed the view from inside a destroyed hospital room, with the windows blown out and ceiling partially collapsed, while images which emerged from the scene showed pregnant women being carried out of the rubble on stretchers (left). The attack came just hours after Dmytro Kuleba, the foreign minister, warned that 3,000 babies in Mariupol are without food or adequate medicine on account of the Russian siege and begged for a humanitarian corridor to get them out. Moscow had promised to observe a 12-hour ceasefire in Mariupol for evacuations, along with four other cities - some of which have also reported shelling. Meanwhile Russian national guard arrested 400 people protesting the war in occupied Kherson, as the long arm of Vladimir Putin's police stated reaches across the border.

Then there were those darn VC's (Viet Cong) in Vietnam with no tanks...that made life hell for the technology superior ARVIN (Army of South Vietnam). Oh yes, and the Afghanistan fighters that 'ejected' the superior Soviets from their country in the 90's? Special note to Israel's tankers..."Syria can be defeated in battle over and over, but the nation of Syria does not cease to exist. Israel can only have one loss, and the nation is gone" Tends to make a difference in what you do with what you have...like the Ukrainian Army?

I had to go outside today and take a walk just to remind myself how fortunate I am to be able to do something as simple as that without living in fear. We're not living in fear yet, but we should all be terrified by our Governments incessant escalating of this event over the last few years, because if they carry on the way they are, the world will burn for sure.

you're talking about the WW2 era bazookas, these modern Javelin rocket have two separate propulsion systems, the initial launch basically 'burps' the rocket out about 12 to 15 feet past forward of the muzzle/front end of the launch tube and then the second propulsion system maintains the travel speed all the way to its intended target.

Russia's military organizations & its generals have been mocked by global military experts because Ukrainians don't have enough level weapons, but they've been showing heroic combats. What's more, many military experts have said that Russia's weapon systems are more exaggerated than their original functions, so they used to be destroyed by Ukraine's anti-tank rockets.
The USA announced that they won't intervene in this combat, but countless numbers of Russian citizens have felt huge rages against Putin's regime, thus, Putin's govt can't make sure the future of his regime and its loyalists. On top of that, Russian troopers' negative attitudes on the war would be another issue toward Russia's central govt & Putin's regime in the end.

That's an old school Soviet weapon, a Degtyaryov light machine gun, that one is probably 1950s vintage.
It's DP- 27 infantry MG model designed in the USSR. 27 indicates 1927 year of the service implementation. Classic one! There are many WW2 war monuments in ex- USSR countries where dead heroes hold this one in their hands. In my mind it's more a gesture echoing the Great Patriotic War against German fascist then a weapon.
