Edward Taylor plays Incantation pour un jour saint by the French composer Jean Langlais which is founded on the plainsong acclamations of “Lumen Christi” (The Light of Christ). This is proclaimed three times during the Easter Vigil which takes place either late on Holy Saturday or very early on Easter Day, when the new fire is lit as a symbol of Christ’s passing from death to life.
