Lol…the sportster s is 1240 cc. It is a ridiculously fast bike for Harley standards. Especially in sport mode. Give it a test ride before you knock it.
These power and muscle cruisers are more like hotrods. Their not meant to be the equivalent to Hayabusa’s and such at top speed, their more tuned around torque and constant power delivery on the low end. Top end litre bikes are more like exotics cars. Trust me the people that can afford a sportster s can afford most top litre bikes. Riding a Sportster S, Diavel, M109r, Vrod etc just has a different thrill than tucking in on a sport bike. It may top out at 130 plus mph, but twisting the throttle and feeling your ass slide off the seat getting up to 130 plus mph is a hell of a feeling even though it’s not 200mph.
@@Joeofalltrades85 True but the Sportster S is Harley’s performance cruiser. It’s not geared like every other Harley. It’s comparable to the M109r, Diavel and such. The Harley to really compare it to is the Vrod or Vrod Destroyer. On the Sportster S you’re going well above 20 in first gear. I hit 20 mph in road mode like it’s nothing. I’ve only used Sport mode maybe 3 times outside of the test ride. Try it, you’d be surprised how fast you’re going in 1, 2nd and 3rd and it’s still pulling hard.

@@spectre688 5th gear can reach 219kmh.. if tuned and use high flow intake i can say 240kmh at least.

@@noahknight4039 they have power and torque, but there are gearing is ridiculous. First gear goes to 20 miles an hour on most Harley cruisers.
