I would recommend the teaser trailers, they are released along side the character demos and it’s a small snip it of info about the character. It doesn’t have any huge lore thing (that you would understand are related to lore) so it would be a huge spoiler
wanderer is the best written character. he's also really good dps in the game his elemental skill is so usefull and also he has bunch of names/nicknames 😭 wanderer, scaramouche, kabukimono, kunikuzushi, balladeer, the everlasting god... and you can also change his name in the game lol he is the golden child of the game

Cyno and Tighnari are characters from Sumeru, which is the region inspired by the Indian+Arabic+Egyptian region (where Hindu myth orignates from).
So the joke is that the "yu" sounds like "view", and the windmill is also a large equipment of wind attribute

i really enjoy your reactions. you could also react to the character teasers and the character tales. maybe the collective miscellany as well if you want to get a gist of the characters’ skills/abilities in-game (it’s not necessary though, i personally think it’d be more enjoyable to explore their kits, synergies and team comps when you start playing)
Something to keep in mind about these trailers, a good chunk of them are for short time events that only last so long. A few are reoccurring though like The Lantern Rite Festival and the Summer event. Stories are ALWAYS different though. Definitely take advantage of the short term events too. Like in a couple weeks there's going to be another one in Liyue.
FYI, there are total of 7 regions (countries) and each of them is based on an actual place in reality. Only 5 of the 7 are out. But here's the places they are based on (and someone can correct me if I am wrong).
Monstadt- Germany
Liyue- China
Inazuma- Japan
Sumeru- Southeast Asia and Egypt
Fontaine- France
Natlan (not released)- Indigenous America and Spain
Sneznahya (not released)- Russia
One thing to keep in mind, you can't access Inazuma (the region has a bunch of islands) when you first start the game. You have to finish Lilyue's Archon Quests first. Archon quests is basically the main storyline.
Sumeru is also based off of southwest asia, so around turkey and the arab states
i think you might be talking about south-southwest-west asia rather than southeast asia, since there's minimal to no inspirations (afaik + i'm from sea i don't rlly see any).
Sumeru is based on the middle east, north Africa and India! :D
Quick reminder, while they take a LOT of inspiration around certain countries irl, however, they are also fantasy and their own thing. Just saying this because people expect the regions to be exactly related to a certain place yet forget that this is not irl. 🙂

1:20:00 Fun fact! The fireworks used in these festivals in recent years of the Genshin universe actually are made by that firework girl, Yoimiya! She used to kinda smuggle them out with the help of Beidou, the pirate lady who appears beside Kazuha the haiku dude from time to time.

A bit more elaboration on the comments I've already seen here. Character teasers are actually released before the demos, but it does make it easier for people new to Genshin to react to the demos first and then the teasers because the demos are more likely to help them memorize a character's name and/or design. Teasers sometimes give you more of an insight into a character without revealing too much.
There are times when the events in a teaser and/or a demo explains what a character has been up to before a certain happening in the story. So it's actually nice to go back to these and have these realizations after experiencing the story.
Collected miscellany reactions can be quite long, so it's up to you if you want to watch none, watch a select few (like your favorite characters like Wanderer and stuff), or watch all of them!
Some people like to react to promotional trailers that are usually animated anime-style rather than the usual 3d animations or live2d esque animations.
There's also the very very niche option of the "story teaser" playlist from the Genshin channel that has some of the many cutscenes (some 3d some 2d) that play during the game. They can be pretty spoiler heavy though, so it's up to you, really.
But honestly, when you start playing the game should be up to you!

I love how many youtubers are doing this right now!! It's refreshing to see a wave of new players at the new version update. (They have no idea of the gambling addiction thats gonna hit them..)
The genshin housing system is absolutely incredible, you can choose different environments and you can have so many styles of architecture, plants, trees, ponds, fountains, and so much more and then you have the mansion, it’s so big with so many rooms and a selection of what style it is, like a tree house place or a traditionalish Japanese home and those are just 2, we have 4 and soon we will have 5. I don’t think it gets enough attention honestly, it’s so much fun and there’s so many things you can do with it all.
The only thing that would make it better is if we could put more furniture down 😂

@@grice478 oh absolutely, I’m the type to have things clipping/over laying things to create a more detailed look.
Like for example I got 2 of those inazuma bonds put the directly next to each other and between I made a sorta bridge, it was made to be in the very center this courtyard and to make it look like one pond instead of 2 was very difficult, I had to use so many of those walls with strategically place rocks , trees, flowers and bushes and it was so difficult because of the limit and it was so frustrating sometimes 😭
It’s a fun challenge but nowadays I only find it annoying rather then fun like I used to
@@shinhonwy fair enough but for me I just get a bit disappointed because when you're working outside you have to either only fill up a small section and have the rest of the section empty or you have to just spread out and have it look awkwardly sparse. The load limit just doesn't allow for the outside sections to be nice and full

That child that looked like Wanderer is Ruu. He’s part of a world quest. I won’t say much because of spoilers, but no children are safe in Genshin Impact.
yeah i get that a lot of people don’t play the WQs but i find it so funny that ppl are going “wow fontaine is getting rlly dark” as if ruu’s story isn’t still one of the most upsetting things in this game two years later😭it’s a must play imo and looking back it’s really interesting how it laid the groundwork for all the teyvat samsara stuff

One thing you can check out are characters "Collected Miscellany", they give a full preview/tutorial on how each character plays. The Genshin channel should have a playlist of it as well, just like the version trailers and demos. Due note that it can be pretty long if you want to react to all the miscellany, so my suggestion is to just react to the characters that you are interested in playing or wanting to know more about.
Fun Fact: Yoimiya in Jp Dub is actually voiced by Kana Ueda - the same VA for Rin Tohsaka of fate
And Shenhe share’s VA with Saber, and the Electro abyss lector with Kirei Kotomine
Visions are like the playable characters who channel and use elements. It's a gemstone from the gods to those with great ambitions. For example, this is a vision --> 28:52. And yes, there is co-op.

I would consider the genshin weekly boss themes next, as they have some of the most banger themes i8n the game.

Wanderer is awesome, he is my favorite character as well, his story and lore it's one of the best in the whole game!!

Aand it's kinda cool that you're just throwing your predicitions of the story out there. However, you will actually need to play the game because all of these trailers shows off the real things EXCEPT for the story itself which they're very infamous of making to be really misleading because Genshin have a big subset of lore theorists base that predicts things in the future like crazy. Lmao.
The world building and lore of this game is so so deep however an average player wont really discover some of it just by playing the game naturally since if youre really a lore guy on a game, Genshin is a massive massive reading expedition. Lol. Everything, and literally everything, has those texts which corresponds to a lore of something ingame.
I will be of help in the least spoilery way i can by explaining weapons, elements and visions, as well as all of the nations and what real world countries/areas theyre based on
So a characters vision holds their elemental power, they are given by a higher power to characters bc of their ambitions, so not everyone has them but (almost) all playable characters do
The elements in this game are
Geo which is rock
Hydro with is water
Pyro which is fire
Dendro which is like plants
Anemo which is wind
Cryo aka frost or ice
And Electro which is lightening
However these elements work differently and have properties seperate from just normal water, fire, wind, etc. like for example water is drinkable but hydro is not.
I would recommend looking into the symbols for them and their colors bc every vision wielder has a physical vision in a casing on their person at all times and its more common for hoyoverse to show their visions to u with their symbol then with the elements name.
For weapons we have
Polearms
Swords
Claymores (or greatswords)
Catalyst (mages)
Bow
Most are self explanatory but catalyst can make some very interesting skillsets. Wriothesley and Heizou are catalyst users and they fight with fists but their punches are infused with cryo (for wriothesley) and anemo (for heizou)
Also, dont make too many assumptions about quests until youve started playing. Especially in the later versions they chop up talking bits and splice them in ways that are confusing to the viewer to keep us as surprised as possible whenever we play the quest ourselves
Now onto nations. There are 8 nations in Teyvat (which is the name of the world) and one of them i will keep a secret bc its better to learn about it in game
But the ones i will tell you about are ones ruled by the seven
The seven are a set of archons (gods) all assigned to a different element that rules over a nation
They each have an element and a guiding principle
Monstadt is the first nation you come across and its ruled by the God of Anemo and Freedom. Its based off of Germany
Liyue is the second nation you come across and its the nation of Geo and Contracts and its based on China
Inazuma is the third and it is the nation of electro and eternity and is based on japan
Sumeru is the 4th and has the god of dendro and wisdom and its based off the middle east, which is why there is distinct rainforest and desert areas
The 5th and newest region is fontaine, which is based off of france. They have the god of justice and hydro. Whenever the one character mentioned trials it was refering to court trials, not fighting trials
The next two are unreleased but we know more about one than the other
Natlan, the nation of pyro and war. Speculations are that this region will be either based off of africa or have native american influences
Snezhnaya is the nation of cryo and love, this nation is based on Russia
Sorry for how long this is but hopefully this was helpful i tried my best without any spoilers to the stories, its why i didn’t tell u any of the gods names

disclaimer: some of the trailers you just watch here is a limited time events so by the time you start playing you will not able to play them unless they did a rerun of it that happened sometimes but the details of the first run is different or the place remain but the important stuffs involving that place is gone so you have to watch other players video about it if it peek your curiosity.

Genshin impact is a perfect to people who wants to "enjoy" a game. Cuz the game has rich storylines, beautiful BGM and landscape, beautiful scenery, i often fall asleep while playing this game even tho my account is already maxed out 😅

You should definitely watch the Character Teaser Trailers next, they give you more info about the story/lore of a lot of characters (not all have a teaser). Wanderer is one of my favorites as well, he's a very in depth character and he has some of the best character development in the game.
Fun Fact: You actually get to choose a name for him! And his name will really appear as such in game. I named him Dikinbaus. (dick and balls)
As for how you can obtain him (or any character), you could get him whenever he's available on the Gacha Banners. Genshin Impact is a Gacha game after all, so most characters & weapons are only obtainable by pulling/wishing/summoning on limited-time banners. (the banners change/update every 3 weeks) Anyways, great reaction!! I'm excited to watch if you decide to play the game!
Aside from also checking out the teaser trailers like others have said, definitely check out the collected miscellany videos as well! They're like detailed explanations of each characters abilities and the narrators (who are 2 very important characters lore wise) comment their thoughts on the characters!
They'll be helpful for when you start playing so you get a basic gist of how the combat system works (a fair bit of reactors seem to struggle with the learning curve on the element/reaction system and how to rotate between characters so it will be good to kinda understand some of how to use characters)
it's honestly too hard to answer any questions that have lore this deep without spoiling the heavenly story. it's honestly best to experience it to know❤

For your info, in the other Hoyo Game, Honkai Impact 3rd, you can freeze time. Look up the Reburn Cutscene for a demonstration of how it looks

Durin is (i should say was) a dragon created by Khaenri'ah, the old nation destroyed by the gods. He was created using the art of Khemia, which is cough *coincidentally* cough the same kind of alchemy Albedo uses. When Khaenri'ah was destroyed, Durin ended up in Mondstadt, and according to general knowledge caused widespread destruction, only being taken down by Barbatos and the Anemo Dragon Dvalin. He landed on Dragonspine, earning it the name, and it's his bones you can see in the background.
However that's not where his story ends.
His point of view is extremely different.
Durin was corrupted by the Abyss, and during his entire attack on Mondstadt, he was in an extended hallucination state, believing that he was happily dancing and flying with Dvalin, whom he *canonically called bejewelled.* he woke up from this "dream" shortly after Dvalin struck the killing blow. He understood what was going on fairly easily and died without remorse, his last wish only that they could have met in a happier time.
Also because i cant help myself, 44:02 abyss doggo is canonically Durin's little brother

Also: Genshin lore seems so happy go lucky on the outside, but as soon as you get a bit deeper, it's actually pretty messed up and scary sometimes. For example Collei's story.

If you wanna get a better grasp on their moves, playstyle and some backstory that is. I didn't want to directly say it, but I kinda did want you to know that the narrator in the Collected Miscellany videos is a character with his own thoughts and opinions. It's just something I find very interesting...
Edit 2: So sorry, just one more thing. Much like the official Character Demos playlist on Genshin Impact's official channel, the Collected Miscellany playlist is also ordered from newest to oldest, so you'll want to watch it in the opposite order so you don't start at the end.
I'm going to post the Character Teasers on October 16th, and I'm going to try my best to also get the Collected Miscellany uploaded as well on October 16th. I'm pretty sure the Collected Miscellany would be extremely long so I'm not sure if it's possible time-frame wise but I'm going to try! Literally working on the Character Teasers for the last 2-3 days. So once that's done I'll check out the Collected Miscellany potentially and if so I'll keep in mind what you said!
