Absolutely fantastic!!! I was in Manchester on Friday and I'm still on a high from it even now, what a gig!! I wish I'd had the presence of mind to have got a ticket to Nottingham too! Great to see everyone else's uploads though, next best thing to reliving it. Really hope there'll be a live album of this tour!
I was in Dublin and I'm still buzzing from it. Sorry I didn't get a ticket for another show and head over to the UK for a gig there. Really should have can't be many more years left in these absolute legends. Up the Irons.
Date: Saturday, October 06, 1979 Venue: Nottingham Boat Club Location: Nottingham, England, United Kingdom My very first Iron Maiden gig-i would have been 18 years old.....over 45 years later i`m now 62 and they just get better and better.
Adrian Smith picking those notes . .. . . .He makes allready a great solo on the studioalbum way better now. Adrian is defently the best guitarplayer in the band.
Nottingham my home city gig was superb, even better than the Manchester and Leeds gigs,any/all upcoming bands playing in Nottingham will pale into comparison after this night.
He played great last fall on Legacy of Beast, but this tour... is totally the old band tour. This tour needs done though... I love Somewhere in Time its my favorite album. Problem is you give the solos to Janick it will take away from the songs. Overall though Janick is great.
He literally wrote Death if the Celts and Hell On Earth Edit: I meant the title track and Time Machine. Not to mention Ghost of the Navigator, the Legacy, Weekend Warrior, the list goes on
What are you talking about? He has solos all over the Senjutsu songs and he plays 100% of the lead melodies on those. Apart from that he has his Fear of the Dark solo and plays the doubled solo in The Trooper. There were way less Janick songs (almost none) in the Early Days, Somewhere Back in Time and Maiden England sets.
@@caseD5150 Right!! It gets to be a little bit tedious tbh. In my humble opinion, Janick's contribution to Maiden's longevity both in songwriting and his energy of performance is immeasurable!
They often double rhytm parts, and thus. it can be hard to tell whether one, two or three guitars are playing the same pattern. That is especially true for the live albums, the center or near center guitar gets buried a lot through masking during rhytm sections.
I was there ❤ Quick booze session at city centre spoons and then saw the boys absolutely kill it . One of the best days of my life ⚡️
I was at the Birmingham show and let me tell you it was the best one I've seen yet and I've seen them a lot over the years

Manchester arena bit dingy and overlong they should have better arena.

You guys are so lucky they always play over there first before US
@@barrygerenski6259, They're from Uk so it makes sense, although they played some mainland European dates to start the tour.

Agreed, and we already knew who was third best
@@mattmid7012 : The third best did not play any off the soloes on this masterpiece :) .. And thanks god for that :)

Leeds was a good show and arena is a lot better than manchester.
Love the woman screaming when the pyro's introduce the band😂
Don't warch if you're an Adrian fan
Why, because they keep showing Jannik Wind milling, during Adrian's arguably best solo🤣
Song starts at 2:30
The intros before the song are worth listening so don't skip them as you miss the atmosphere!
Yeah the pyrotechnics are great with head phones on😊
Does Dave’s strat have the rosewood neck?
Actually it’s walnut
@@smaque666 Thanks, hard to tell up on stage.
Although i love maiden, the best song of the night is definitely doctor doctor. Love mr schenker
please can people film Adrian while he's soloing ? 😁
If I could see Adrian I would film him.
sometimes i feel a little bit sad about Janick, cause it seems that he has nor more role in the maiden-part, 2-3 soli and thats it.

They only turn his guitar on for 4 or 5 songs.
Kidding I love Janick!!
the time machine is also his piece. and he plays the second solo in fear of the dark. etc etc

I wonder sometimes if janick is really playing no offense.
Why would Steve have him there 😂 I swear, Janick haters never cease to amaze me

Well, he doesn't have a whole lot to do this tour. It's basically the Adrian show this go around
literally his entire audio coming into the video since the camera is pointed right at his amp..

HOW ABOUT ANNOUNCING SOME NORTH AMERICAN DATES, FFS?!?!
