True story: During the pitch Kevin received a call, since they were taping he let it go to voice mail. But then the calls kept coming.... so he thinks it might be something urgent. And then he see's it's Barbara's and he picks up. On the other end, Barbara goes "whoever is pitching right now tell them I'm out" and hangs up.

Greetings from Edmonton City, Canada... Soap Maker and 2020 Business College graduate Commenting on not needing an investor, eh?
i agree with that last investor's advice. Any industry and /or product being "over-saturated" can be good. Business Marketing taught me that a Brands U.S.P. (Unique Selling Properties /Points /Position) is what sets them apart from their competition. There are loads of sock manufacturers, yet if your socks light up or make sound or massage sore feet, then you have a U.S.P. Even being able to have your name embroidered on a sock is a U.S.P. (albeit an over-done one by now). 95% or so of Soap Artisans create "bricks" or "slabs" of Soap. When a Soap Artisan strolls in the Soap /Bath product industry and creates small cubes of Soap like i do, potential customers notice. A seemingly small change like size and /or shape of Soap can make a huge difference in the long-run. :) More "Soapers" are using square /cube shaped moulds or cutting their long slabs of Soap into squares /cubes since the 2010's because they saw a trend starting, yet the method how i create my cubes, the 100% Natural formulas i use, and my creative marketing strategies are different. When you know your Brand is TRULY DIFFERENT and not just another "Soaper" pouring Soap into silicone cube moulds, you know you will make it big!
FAILURE RATES: 80%+ of Businesses Owners will fail in their first 2 years. Staggering figure, yet true! i live a 10 or so minute bus ride away from West Edmonton Mall, the largest mall in Canada. i frequent here several days per week to use free Wi-Fi and eat at food courts, and i spend a considerable amount of time walking + observing businesses in West Edmonton Mall (especially kiosks of local businesses) who last 6 Months to 1 Year before "closing shop". Some kiosk owners are Soap-related, so i am glad when they no longer sell their artificially scented and dyed products in the mall. The Soap scene is over-saturated with Artisans who artificially scent and dye their products. Most people are searching for Natural alternatives nowadays. if a Brand fails to follow trends and will not give potential customers what they need /want, they are sure to fail! Being a Business Owner means listening to your customers and shifting with the trends, while starting new trends. Being an Entrepreneur is not easy 100% of the time. it takes dedication and many hours every day - sometimes all day, every day for several days in a row - to gain success, research beyond comprehension (when you think you are done researching an Essential Oil or Clay or other ingredient, you find out contradicting information about that ingredient or another benefit it provides or, or... the list goes on and on!), and talking up your product to people on the bus, while waiting in line for coffee, etcetera... Successful Entrepreneurs never rest easy until they know they have 10's of thousands of dollars in their Bank Accounts. They use this money to further their Brands, get richer, gain more recognition, and grow bigger. Get, gain, grow, get, gain... this cycle repeats until a successful Entrepreneur turns their 10,000$ into 1,000,000$.
HOW YOUR BRAND CAN STAND OUT: in a world of over-saturated Brands, your colours (logo, labels, your true personality, etcetera...) have to stand out and your voice (Brand messages) needs to be heard both figuratively and literally speaking! Any educated person can make spray to kill germs or hand sanitiser. Any educated person can design any item small or big from hats to houses. Any educated person can formulate Soap and pour it melted into moulds (well, this is debatable because making 100% Natural Soap involves a lot more than melting and pouring). it is HOW these Entrepreneurs sell their Brands and themselves (because they are the faces of their Brands), with strong messages that make the difference between a stand-out, top Brand and many handfuls of "Meh." run-of-the-mill Brands that are drowning in a pool of over-saturation. The best way to tread water and keep your head above water in a pool of over-saturation is just keep swimming. You will reach the shore if you put your faith in GOD. the most successful entrepreneurs became successful with no life vest, life boat, or lifeguards to assist them along their swim. You can not merely dip your toes in the Ocean; you have to jump off the dock and hopefully enjoy the swim, even if the water is too cool. The coolest Entrepreneurs are ultra-cool because they braved cool waters and kept swimming until they reached paradise island.
Want to find your Soap paradise? You can if you check out my Brand on facebook at:

If it works against viruses it works against covid too. We used the same sanitizers we were using before covid to protect ourselves from covid without changing any chemical properties of those sanitizers.
