We installed it the same way as you and got the same unit too, why won’t the plastic clips hold any pressure? Our inlet and outlet ports keep bursting no matter how much we open the valbe
This is helpful but I have questions surrounding the sanitation and recharge. First, do I absolutely NEED to sanitize? Second, how long does the recharge last and are we without water for that time? Thanks.

Why can't you just answer the question of how long the recharge lasts? Is it different depending on certain factors. I just want to know when to expext to open up the faucets for the next step. Is it right away or hours or what?

Hi Barbara, There are several things that could cause a salty taste to the water, from the way it is programmed to an issue with the drain line. The best way to diagnose what is going on is to contact our customer service team and they can do some troubleshooting with you over the phone. Feel free to give us a call, M-F 8am-5pm CST, 1-800-545-1780 or contact us via email, customerservice@ecopurehome.com.
If the softener's valve inlet and outlet lines are reversed, the system will not reliably provide soft water, may not regenerate automatically, and can even allow some of the ion exchange resin media to enter your home's water lines.
What about the garden hose? It is ok to have the water for the garden runs through the water softener, or we have to make a separate line for the garden hose?
step 5 is completely confusing. is the main water turned off already? how can you turn out cold facuets if its off? how do you know if the pipe is closed vs open? very unclear
Hi Harry! We offer Push-Fit Flexible Pipe Connectors that hook up to 3/4" plumbing on our website. You'll need to purchase two of them for a standard installation. You can purchase the Push-Fit Flexible Pipe Connector here: www.ecopurehome.com/7378103/p. Thanks for your interest in EcoPureHome.
no, but its not a very good idea to do so. Softened water should only be used to shower or be used for your appliances like your dishwasher and laundry machine
No. Look at the water softener as a type of filter for water. It takes out unwanted stuff in your water. Keep in mind it removes minerals; we all need minerals to stay healthy, so some of the minerals that may be beneficial to you could be removed by the water softener.
@@mikewhitaker4150 We got a water softner guy to check our water quality and we had some of the hardest water in the statses (Arizona) and when we talked to him, he told us that drinking softened water can be harmful over a long period of time.
@@Swim403 Ok, did he say how it could be harmful? I'm not disagreeing, just wondering how it could be harmful. As I said in my first reply, we all need minerals to stay healthy, so maybe that's what he was referring to? I guess it's difficult to answer the original question with just a yes or no.
@@mikewhitaker4150 Yes, he told us since we have very hard water, we will be using more salt in our water softner, and as you know, salt is sodium chloride, and too much sodium chloride can be harmful to your health. It all depends on where you live, if your water is not very hard, you dont need to worry about the sodium levels of your water, but if your water is hard, sodium levels can be harmful
You certainly glossed over the plumbing of the unit. No one will have supply lines just sitting on the wall waiting for a water softener install. And how many have a floor drain? Cheesy video.
Thanks for making this clear. I agree with this. Building a new home right now, and apparently there is no drain line where the water comes into the home. Any suggestions on how to set up a drain on this? Thanks!
@James brown thanks so much! I'm very comfortable installing the softener. I'm just not sure what to do with the drain situation 😂 thanks and have a great day!

Should’ve got a plumber
So this’ll will give the houses hold softener and drink water at will ?
What if the the floor drain is not available? What’s the other alternative?
drain to a bucket and toss it in your neighbor’s yard periodically?
So that's great and all but does it go inline before the filters or after? Alot more to it if your not on city water. That was a waste of time...

how much salt did you add? and did you have to wait for the water to fill up first?
Which one is better or work best on water softener. Instant or storage geyser

why did you add household bleach? will it not cause harm to resin?

Run for 20 minutes! No need to do that, just wasting water. 2 min is all and run through regeneration
Thank You! I appreciate It!
Maybe a stupid question, if in and out connected wrongly, what will happen? Thanks

We recommend using hard water for your lawn and garden, as softened water contains added sodium that can affect your plants and soil.
