- Welcome to the official video for the Victory Amplifiers Silverback 50-watt head, designed with Rob Chapman. The music for this demo was recorded in a studio using the Silverback head through the Victory 4x12 speaker cabinet with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. The guitars are a Chapman ML-3 RC and an ML-1. The guitars are plugged straight into the amplifier, with no additional pedals added. Rob is playing along with the Dorje track, Aeromancy, with his original guitar parts removed and re-recorded with the Silverback.

I love the "trap door" and the weapon/knob defender. So simple yet brilliant ideas! Congrats Rob!

yo brahhhh
Trapdoor & front plate....Brilliant!
YES! Chappers is wearing my bands Tshirt! :D
Love
Wish a local guitar store would stock one me wants to try!! Along with Chapman guitars as well of course :3
Yep that's definitely the Rob Chapman tone. Not my personal favorite drive sound but it's absolutely recognizable from anywhere. At least now we can finally see the amp in his videos :P
The knob guard is fucking genius.
I also like the trapdoor. Can't love it just because I have no idea why I haven't seen it done before. It just baffles me.
You're awesome, Rob. It's been so cool to see how much you've grown in so many areas.
Looks nice, congratulations my fellow englishman .
I just found out about this, I always thought it was a Vox in watching a few demos.
I have a Peavey 6505 MH right now ,traded a squire and a 15% coupon at gc $350 out the door. Got it hooked up to a sealed EVH 2x12 cab with vintage celestions
When looking to upgrade will def check this out.
Cheers
Really good sounding amp, I'd like to have one, it's hard to find it by this side of the lake :P
Top trap door + magnetic control guard = absolute genius.
Im going to get one of this need one soooooooooooooooo much !!!
Save £1700.00 or something like that then.
i want one so much but i will never be able to afford one
That is certainly a nice teaser; I look forward to at least 15 minutes of Anderton's goodness with this beast!
(Yes, we need the Captain to play his CAP-10 with the gain maxed).
Need a Metal demo please. ..
Super proud 'n' happy for you, Rob! This is utterly awesome stuff.
Wow sounds killer
4.38 That chord sounded fucking mean!
Congratulations, dude! It sounds monster. Super happy for ya
Awesome, Rob! Glad you've finally got around to getting it released. It looks and sounds awesome! We await a review of it!
Simply amazing. Need that amp in my collection along with the ML3. Cant wait for the standard production version to come out
Nice, very nice...that is all!!!!
Although this sounds beast I always preferred the I think it's the second prototype with the grill and the silver back logo on the front at least this one sounds as little sweeter not bad for 1800 quid
Everyone is asking the price, 1899.00 gbp (inc VAT) at andertons.
It's like a metal version of Jonathan Ive.
Lol haha ios victory
Well played, sir!
"What's REALLY innovative is this amp has Siri which really brings value to the guitar playing experience... just hold down the volume pot and say commands like "Match the sound engineer's volume expectations" and it will automatically switch to an inaudible whisper"
Oh God I want one
Is that an ML-1 Trans black with RED binding or just light doing it's wicked job? Nothing is / would look better than a semi-dark red binding on a black guitar!
It's just the colour of the mahogany peeking through thanks to the 'reveal binding'. My ML-1 is pretty much the same.
It's an ml-3 chapters special. In sey red. :)
Oh THAT one. Yeah I see now. :/
jthescruff I did mean the superstrat one (ML1). In this vid the binding has a dark red shine in it...looks pretty awesome with the black top and back.
Killer amp, but for $3k there are many to choose from. Hard sell, but i do like it allot.
Never heard it before and it's shame because I have the kraken.
Does anyone know which 4 amps this one is based on?
these amps (this amp) sounds incredible, phenominal, Rob Chappers- Please give me your take on a blackstar ht dual distortion pedal going into a Fender 65 re issue. its sounds soso good!
Dammit. What can I sell to get this? Oh yeah, my soul. I won't be needing it anyway. \m/
Just checked out what these are selling for. Wow!! Think I’ll look into the Mesa Boogie JP-2C. Way more amp. Less money. Don’t get me wrong, this looks and sounds like a great amp. I know Rob said he made it for him. But they are marketing it to sell to the public. Gotta somehow come down on the price guys.
It doesn't state in the description but for $2900 U.S. Dollars I would expect this amp to be HandWired.
It is hand wired, all valve and made in the UK ;-)
I can only imagine how much this amp costs.
over $2,000
actually it's 1,999 British Pounds which is $2940 USD
you know you've made it when you signature amp cost the same as an eric clapton signature amp
But... I don't want Eric's amp...
I made this amp for myself ;-)
lol funny perspective but those EC amps have a buzzy farty overdrive ... they dont sound like they have sweet even harmonics like this amp does. I don't care if Rob is a Rasta wannabe and EC is GoD the sound of the amp is what at stake here NOT the player. I love EC's playing but not his amp or guitar sounds these days. Go Beano 60 LP & Marshall ... sweet!
i just realized, at one point he was playing his sig guitar, through his sig am p ,
technically they're all his signature since he owns the company
i'm gonna get so good you'll endorse me and give me one for free LOL joking
you have not demoed "thousands and thousands of amps" come on man
This amp for "£1,899.00"??? I take it to be a VERY BAD JOKE. You have, *for example*, Tony Iommi's Signature Laney Amp TI100, which is UK-made and sounds WAY superior to this one, and costs a fraction of this price. It's not about the number of knobs and massive advertisement an amp gets (like this one is *surely* going to get), it's about the way it sounds. It sounds "ok" and looks cool. Just like most amps for less than £700 do. There is no reason on Earth to be willing to pay AT LEAST twice as much for what it's REALLY worth. But, we shall never underestimate the power of marketing….
youve not demod thousands and thousands of amps lol, there isnt even that many in the world
