I've met Garth on several occasions when he was on hiatus. He lived down the road from me and I saw him in Reasors grocery store all the time. He was a completely normal guy. Then he made a comeback in a completely different world than he left and he's bonkers. It's so surprising.

I'm in my late 40s and have salt and pepper hair, but if I grow a beard it comes in Santa Claus white and looks crazy. So I'll dye it a bit to try to match my head hair (actually looks a lot like Tom's beard color when done right).
I think Garth was trying to do the same but ended up using straight-up black dye and its ridiculous, but I can understand the attempt.
But none of that explains why Garth's beard is so visibly uneven.
Doesn't he own a mirror? Or have a family or friends that might point it out before he goes on camera?
