- Hi, I am Yamada from Japan. Today's video is a walk through Otsu City in Shiga Prefecture, Japan, which is the capital city of Shiga and the main port of Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan.

-What is this channel ?
This channel is where you can see a real daily life in Japan. Just as it is. I started this UA-cam channel when I was traveling around the world in 2019. That experience made me thought it was worth knowing a daily life of any places around the world. So I decided to do something I could do, and started filming Japanese daily life I experienced. I hope this video inspires you to know more about Japan.

I lived in Otsu for 6 years + until October 2023 (I had to go back to Canada). I'll return next year in spring 2025 for sure. If it's not to work, it'll be to travel and meet with my boyfriend, friends, and former colleagues! 😊
Otsu is such a calm and nice city. I was there in the autumn of 2018, and it was a nice escape from the busy Kyoto, and only a short train ride through the mountains. There are some great restaurants near the train station.
