@@JohnSL Would split body work exactly the same way as boundary fill for this mold?

Very good video. I need to watch it again to make sure I understood how you got the part thickness reflected in the shape rather than two halves of one surface. I've done a number of complex parting line molds and always thought I could develop a methodology for it and then document it rather than stumble along until I got it right. Whenever I sit down to convince myself I have the method and record it, something happens that I don't understand, particularly in the fill/surface work, and I'm back to square one! So I have mad respect for you getting this video together.

There are two operations. The first is to use a combine operation to cut the part itself out of the block. This is where I use section analysis to show that it's been cut. Then I use the surfaces to cut the block into a core and cavity. Hope that helps.

Good stuff! I love seeing the combination of mold design and subsequent mold making.

At 4:20 you should add that to project you need to hit the letter P for project. But still a really good video.

I know I'm getting to this video quite late, but would you have any advice for someone who needs the holes in the model to be all the way through? Everything you say goes well until I add the holes I need to the spit and it errors with 'Failed to perform boolean operation'. Im not super versed in Fusion being new to CAD, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
