Hi Nathan , off topic but I’ve recognised myself as a weak player , I raise wrong (not 3bb ) when strong and I darnt re raise when continuation betting on the button . Any advice for the confidence side I really find this hard even after viewing your videos on this . Many thanks

Okay, I have to say… I just found your channel, because I was tired of sucking at online poker, and I am very gradually, yet clearly getting better. Very thankful for your content and I am HIGHLY considering doing your university program!

AK is the best losing hand. Easy to get caught up chasing on later streets. It is good pre-flop, and flop really is the key to winning. Unfortunately if you hit the flop, getting paid is much harder. My best case with this hand is just calling pre-flop (disguised) and waiting to spring the trap on the streets later. Don't chase after the flop.

Good vid, clear explanations. I totally agree. The last example A3 is rags, I even consider AJ rags. Difficult to play those hands right. Cheers!

Would like to have your videos separate Tournament v. Cash Strategies. Also separate or highlight the differences in strategy between in-person vs. online games.

For point 3 (with JTs) this is fine advice against straightforward players but against people with any sort of aggression level this is too nitty. There are plenty of potential bluffs and draws that villain would likely bet here such as J9, J8, QJ, AQ, AJ, Q9, 98, so while yes they have better hands when value betting you will get crushed if you just fold top pair to a second barrel here. Also most players don’t value bet some hands mentioned (anything worse than Kx field checks usually).

Agree. Need to call 1 more street and reassess on river.

love how you keep it simple, since poker can get really complex

I don't chase draws. I take advantage of them instead. But AK and AQ is not the nuts. If you miss that flop you need to immediately move into pot control. If you still get a hand THEN make that bet

With hand 5 ak , what would you do if you were re raised from the continuation bet?

Pocket AA on the river will always be just pocket AA. Unless you make them into something better
