Hi Nathan I,ve been following your strategies for a few years, playing the micros and tournament's to and I can definitely say it's a winning strategies for people starting out, can you get your book's in the UK.
you have great tips, thanks. I want to ask what if I have AK on the table K T 8 there is no suit, but the player has a wider range and it will reraise 3x on your continuation bet. I fold, but I'm wondering if it wouldn't be a good idea to call in this case.
hi sir i have a question can you please kindly answer it thank you how many hours do you play poker or grinding ? per week? and the important part when do you rest or stop in a day win or lose? "for example you just play 1000$ to 2000% in a day if this lose then stop then if i win 1000$ to 2000$ stop then tomorrow again or you finish 8 to 10hrs a day the check if you have profit or down" i think my question will help other who wants to start grinding or playing this will set a discipline for other players so pls answer my question it will be a big help
What site do people recommend for small online cash games? Just started but I wanna try my hand at playing for money, problem is there are no card houses or casinos near me.
In most cases you're right, came in a similar position earlier this week with AK. So I raise pot size on a full ring table with ante. I get called. Flop was similar to this one so I c-bet the flop and I get called. Turn was similar so I raise 75% of the pot and I get called again. Now I'm worried a bit river comes still got AK and have top pair on the felt. I'm wondering why he keeps calling and never 3-bets my raise. So I decide to check and I expect a raise from the villain if he has A's or K's. He just checks. Cards get shown and he shows pocket A's.
... or the tight player could have also had AK (you excluded KK and AA due to the preflop action , but failed to mention AK). Last session I had the same situation, my oppenent had a rather shallow stack and I called his check-raise-AllIn on the turn precisely because his most likely hand was AK.
K9s is posible but AA 99% not, only the worst 1% of the fish gonna just call with AA... Nathan doesn't give info about player positions... if we are for example on the BTN and BB calls K9s, K5s and K3s are definitely in their range even 53s is posible if the player is playing close to GTO.
It would be amazing if you could start showing these strategies and tips videos in a screen recorded online matches or show us from the casinos so we can really see everything play out.
Would be awesome if you could make a video on how to deal with someone who plays erratic and bluffs a lot and then you call them and of course they have bullets or a set or something like that it happens all the time and if you have already made that video I apologize
Maybe u just think they playing like that but they was getting good hands. U saw showdowns of their bluffs right??? Then yeah u have to be more sticky sometimes and observing carefully and recognize patterns.Timing patterns and bet sizing patterns. But still they do in fact sometimes have strong hand.
@@losyart i’m mostly referencing the loud player who acts obnoxious slams his cards down when he’s got something acts like a fool when he’s bluffing ,right you think you can catch him and then he actually had some thing
Pay attention to how impatient they are. If they’re not calming down after at least 20 seconds of waiting they’re probably bluffing. If they announce their hands as they get them, be careful and watch their bet sizes.

I think the amount of money you play is better judged by you. If loosing $100 will not hurt you your overall finances, I would think that’s a good start. 🤷🏼👍🏻
I agree. There has been many times I was card dead for hours then In the 6-7 hr I go on a heater and leave up good. I’m never leaving over being card dead unless there are other factors involved or it’s been rediculously long.
Because if they are tight they won’t be playing 95. Unless they are on the BTN or in the BB. It’s a fold from every other position. This hand is under the assumption they are a good player.
A tight player is never bluffing in a given situation? But, but... I guess i can *act as if* for simplicity. It just feels strange seeing an absolute so unambiguously exploitable. It's ok. I cant expect a qualifier every time!!
Im not sure i can get onboard entirely with this. Folding ten hands in a row on this type of hand? That's going to encourage bluffing from not only that player but any observant player at the same table is going to see you laying down all the hands you pre raised with just because you're getting raised on the turn. Depending on the size of the raise i would make the occasional call cause you might get a good run out and/or catch a bluff.

If they are in the hand and haven't folded and they're acting after you. Play tight range only, this way you'll be harder for them to exploit.

What about if the villain has a double pair at the flop? Like K9 or K5?
the villain isn't calling a raise before the flop with those cards.
He said a "TIGHT PLAYER" a tight player usually isn't playing K9or K5
@robertglueckjr.6906 nobody is that tight its possible from late position to call a 3 bet with

Geee, does this work on the rigged online poker sights?
For a beginner is a $100 a good amount to start playing poker?
completely depends tho
if you start at microstakes, 100 is more than enough (0.01/0.02 sb/bb)
I think the amount of money you play is better judged by you. If loosing $100 will not hurt you your overall finances, I would think that’s a good start. 🤷🏼👍🏻
If you're looking to play live poker, check to see if your local casino runs any tournaments with ~$100 entry fee.
For a beginner best to start in freerolls but those arent times of freerolls anymore sadly.

Exactly, patience is the key.

Where 32 and 1?
I’m confused.. 100% drawing dead? What if a K comes on the river…?
then the 55 or 99 would make a full house while you have trips

Why can’t they have a 9 and 5 a two pair???????
Because if they are tight they won’t be playing 95. Unless they are on the BTN or in the BB. It’s a fold from every other position. This hand is under the assumption they are a good player.
Because most players, even loose players, are probably dumping 95 preflop to a raise. If this is a tight player, they're never going to keep a 95.
