I went to Willard Oct 2005 Left Jan 11 2006I've never been back .Taught me well, definitely taught me time management.I wasnt on drugs but I needed this program .I definitely got put in the Hot Seat. 😂
Oh yeah, I was a running 🐺 at Willard. I hated it, but now looking back, I would do it again. I graduated 11.5.02
Thanks for sharing, also you stay safe, and clean out there. Think about where you are now, where you been and the goals you set for yourself in LONG TERM SOBRIETY. The serenity prayer is something special
I don't know how I came across this video. nor have I every heard of such program but I love how the worker care for the people and how the people going thought the treatment interact with each other I pray that people are truly being change. God bless....
Willard was an experience that changed my life!
Wow! What a great video! My Girlfriend and I recently visited Willard and were wondering what became of the Insane Asylum after it closed and then was converted in to a drug rehab facility. Thanks again, Park Productions, for making this available. I have new respect for those who served in the rehab program, both the leaders and inmates who want to clean themselves up.
I was a Dorm B3-Silverwolf in October 2011 and completed January 2012. Completed the program and this video blew me away. Spot on about what the program is about. I don't think it is the best approach for addiction but a step in the right direction. This program was insane. Not necessarily the drilling and military aspect but more so the D.I.'s threatening to take your release date for the absolute smallest things. Hopefully all the people in this video are still alive and changed their lives.
Great Documentary of Shock Incarceration in NY State; Thanks.
I got there June of this year and came home at the end of October. I was in 2 of the hardest dorms on that compound. Artic Wolves and Bulldogs are the toughest dorms there but they have great counselors who actually care where in other dorms they would just tell you what you want to hear just to get rid of you. It is not a breach of human rights because when you sign up to start the program all of your rights are taken away. I am glad that I did this because it gave me more discipline towards authority and for myself.
my son just left there he said he walked out the gates screaming willard we made it...he was a artic wolve..
Also as far as I know, this is the 35th Anniversary of this Program. I first saw it on 48 Hours in 1989 where they showed the increasing population of women in prison.
This place helped change my life for thr better I have not been the same Lakeview shock and Willard saved my life
I was in Lakeview in 1993 that's when ice man was there he was a total beast when I say beast I mean what I say
@@jamesmccullers9916 I’ve heard stories of iceman the whole time I was there lol I had drill instructor TADT: Ex Army Ranger he was a fucking emotionless robot the “iron Mike King” he once did an iron Mike off the stage and broke his leg was back at work the same week smoking us with the iron mikes lol
UK Reporters Stacey Dooley & Louis Theroux visited the Bootcamp and they were shocked. Stacey wasn't ready for the "in your face" attitude during the group sessions.
It use to be a mental hospital, the Willard town residents says the patient's committed suicide there and ghosts!!!
I don't see any crab-walks, or bunny-hops..I graduated Lakeview SHOCK.
I can tell you from experience that this probably helps expose people to a healthy lifestyle...but unfortunately there are masochists who work in these facilities who abuse inmates. Just one of those ruins the whole experience...
lakeview to eagles.....totally igree with you bro
something you can learn something from
Shock is a boyscout camp compared to camp cassidy lake i been to real prison boot camp
As a graduate of Monterey I agree 100
RIP MARY ,,YOU WERE SOMETHING ELSE , SOMETHING ELSE , SOMETHING ELSE , SOMETHING ELSE
B4 mustangs aug-dec6 grad 2006!
2008 A1 ...never been in any trouble since.
thanks for upload
I just can’t believe how these inmates are allowed to talk so freely and ghetto..saying shut up and screamin at each other ,swearing during confrontations ect ect..I did bootcamp twice second time was in 2004.when released in 2005 I have been a free man since
My husband just loved that D.I Shipwreck said he was loose cannon hahahah 2004
When they call out their names by Numbers, it's so eerie because George Osmond did the same thing, each child was a Number since there were Nine Of Them.
Jail bootcamp hard af I did cookcounty four months never been in trouble again
Third Platoon 1st session Butler Bears....Rolling Thunder......3/21/91...Butler Shock Camp
What is the Classical Piece they are playing around 17:30 please? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This looks like willard omg they had to deal with DI MOORE 😂😂
Heroin is so dangerous, and so many Rock Stars did it and some died. Frankie Lymon (1941-1968), Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, Dennis Wilson The Beach Boys (1944-1983), and even his Brother Brian did it and in 1979 while on tour in New Zealand/Australia The Group almost broke up because of Dennis sharing Heroin with Brian.
I've been delivering pizza to this place a few times a week now for like 7 years, the guards are chill normally never imagined it was this way on the inside
Damn bro you should have snuck me in some pizza 😂😂
Are you serious Somebody's gotta do it
1st platoon 25th session Monterey schock Young dogs graduated June 1st 2000. I am now a drug counselor.
DI Elliote!!!
@jeremywhite8403 ha ha I remember DI Elliot. Ride the Harley lol. I kind of didn't like him though. His community meetings he would never get through, and we never had any free time with him. I hate that shit. Either we were in community meeting or we were riding the Harley for someone dropping a freaking pen or something stupid like that. A 1 DORM. We moved to B 1 dorm after are 0 weeks with Di Wychuck
35:33: "STOOOOOOOOP!" I am officially DEAD AS FUCK YO!.
13:17 that inmate has got some major railroad tracks on that arm.
Oregon Youth Challenge Program, this is very similar to that.
I Love The Words Of Wisdom that is on The Walls. Is there a Website that I can check out?
FRESH , MOTIVATED , HAPPY SHOCK MATES OOOOOSH - HA,HA !
I was at Willard 14/15 after I had already graduated Lakeview but that Confrontation with the Women HOLY SHIT!!!!😮😮 They are so HYPOCRITICAL even the men Counselor said confront the behavior not look how they are TOURMENTING him to leave!!! “Leave BOY” It was like a MINDFUCK I loved 6 MONTHS of SHOCK it was all definitely an experience 😂😮😂
I graduated lakeview shock in 2000 but I never finished shock parole will I still be able to go to Willard. I've been clean since 2002 and haven't had any legal problems since I graduated. For all that I've done before I've been clean and doing right since just that for whatever reason I haven't reported. My roommate and number 1 reason I'm clean is because of her and shes been sick and I'm afraid of getting locked up because she might not be here when I come back.
Willard absolutely made me a different person made me appreciate life and freedom shout out platoon a-2 I’m a Timberwolf for life d.i. Maclain...”who ra”
They expect them to show respect but they curse at them.Reminds me of my drill sergeant in basic.According to regulations no one is supposed to curse.Article 15.
I don't think any boot camp really follows the rules. I'm glad boot camp wasn't easy. The military is trying to create hard killers, so they can't do that if the drill instructors are best friends with the trainees.
The reason they even call it shock is because it's supposed to shock you out of crime is supposed to shock you back into a positive lifestyle
Graduated lakeview shockdecember 13 2001top noch diaz mexicano
I was there in 09 B2 and I'm about to go back did anything change or is it the same shit??????
unbelievable
Rather do the bid then the program
5A-29 Wolverines. D.I. Lewis was the shit man. Definitely a good experience in my opinion.
Mark Butler Lewis passed away sadly
Did Monterey Shock and Willard twice
U did Willard twice 🤣
13:28 all the blacks are into it, and the couple whites are like wtf...
You can beat a fool a 100 blows and his foolishness won't depart from him.
Do they make you do pushups and situps
all day when ever they want
Duh
Mr brinks cries
Shit. If I had the option of 90 days or the 2 years I spent at groveland (trust me it’s no longer groovy) I would gladly drink the kool aid! And what is going on with the superintendent with silly putty for a chin?
I just heard the same thing. I was there on a pro violation 2001 2002 and it was groovy as hell back then. That’s a damn shame, the shakers built a hell of a place
Seen a few people I was in shock and willard with in this.
Soaring Eagle that's how I did it, 6/6/17
I was 16 when I came to shock
My man is going to Willard uh oh !! Not easy !
Good luck to him! I hope he's doing well! I would like to congratulate him for wanting to turn his life around and, of course, you for supporting him.
Well he got kicked out of Willard so his in prison now but he's getting out in two more months so I'm happy
Willard wasent even tht hard its more of a drug program then a shock program
I call bullshit. I did SAI boot camp. Cassidy Lake in Chelsea Mi with active duty Marines. This is watered down. It was hands on. I graduated top of my class platoon 3075 . Nowhere as easy as this. Hoorah....…
I just left lsicf a few weeks ago 3b66 hard Corp we ran 328 miles shit was crazy
I was in the eagles 3b-19 in 1999 I was 18 hardest program bk them DI tat n miller
This program is easy. It sucks though. Just worry about yourself. Big dog 48 session Monterey. If It don't apply let it fly. Sometimes shit we have no control of effects us an individual, this is how the program was built.
Go watch first time felon its a great awesome movie
Willard is weak i did Lakeview and was squad leader the entire time.
What year was this documentary, looks late 90s
Kai Shinjuku 95 or 96 I believe
Nov 1997- Jan 1998
I also wanna say one more thing I got Willard from the court system I wasn't on parole or nothing and the best di in there is di Naples guy is official and its only as hard as you make it fellas I was in the worst platoon a3 di McClain we went in 64 and we left with 35 5 were recycled so do the math but its only 97 days but it was hell for the first two months afyer that your Gucci it depends on th di
My sister went through that and the a drill sargent hit her with a soap in a sock lawsuit bitch u will never work there again and no offense this shit is like county jail here in jax fl just another day locked up
Why don't they run all the prisons in the United States in this fashion ?
Titans baby
Artic wolves 2015!!!
The irony that you force addicts to take 7 minutes showers to earn a smoke break is bothering me.
7 minutes? They gave us 3 minutes to shower and be fully dressed!
Lmao
B-1 Bulldogs 2015. WE FIRED UP.
B-2 panthers 2019
Lake view
If only all prisons made the inmates March, we may have fewer problems cause no one will want to.go back
Thunder Wolves!!!
This place looks like some weird cult with the way the instructors conduct themselves and the program. I'm all for the boot camp part because most people in trouble have never had discipline, but the other part is just weird. The white instructor with a mustache and messed up haircut gets on my nerves. He talks to people like he's Yoda. I'm happy for the people that have gotten help from this program, but it looks like the staff are abusing their power. Each person should find a program that works for them, so if this program helps them, I'm happy for them.
Ok snowflake
Moriah Shock, mighty 3rd2004
I did a year n that shyt
A3 Timberwolves
Lol Willard is a joke now my boys who are there said there ain’t no more military Bering and everyone is just chillin and high on K2 no more PT either lol
thats a fact was just there complete joke k2 and suboxne boring as fucc
@@johncapalot1208 lies
@@justmetrustme4089nah that’s true you can get subs in the state bro and they closed Willard down since this comment
Don't know how I did it but I did it A1 Thunder Wolves 2014
B4 mustangs
why they mostly non whites?
Mostly grew up in poverty, drop outs, single struggling parent, daddy isn't there. Probably was physically, sexually, or emotionally abused. Maybe came from a family who had a history of criminal behavior.
Ok I did shock and I've never done Willard but I noticed a lotta fuck ups. Just be cuz like u couldn't have gotten through shock with those fuck ups. And u have to do shock before Willard last I check. It was sometime ago tho. And I was a shitbird. 2a
Ezko Carter no you can be sentenced to willard (j.s.) or even parole violators
Delta force . dog shit 3 (D3) .. Made it 60 days, got in a fight and sent behind the wall after.
How come there aren't any Female Drill Sargeants. I think that would be good for The Ladies.
there is females down there...yup co bitches.......ready move!!!!!!
DI Moore female 2001.tougher than MEN.she broke men apart.
You are right. I saw them on another Documentary.
Ms. Bogan don't play. I would have loved to have had her as a Teacher or a Principal. I never got in trouble with the Law (Thank God), yet one of the things I admire is that she doesn't allow the Platoon to have "Pity Parties". Is she still there.
RIP - Ms. Bogan passed away.
@@vslater51 Aww, no way! What happened. God Bless her. I really admired her.
bootcamps are really tyrannic.
Forced to go to prison boot camp, but won't volunteer and go to the real military.
