Me and my 4 year old boy have been hanging for this video,we’re obsessed with your content and you’ve inspired us to get out there and get fishing etc love how you capture the beauty of the outdoors, hunting, fishing and diving etc without the macho aspect,we truly appreciate you Tasman!
Thanks so much, I'm stoked you're both enjoying the vids 😁 This is actually a large part of the reason I love making these videos, to encourage others to get out there! So I really appreciate your comment 🙏. Take care!
Thanks so much! Yeah haha, filming isn't so bad, but it takes me around 30-60mins of editing per minute of video on the computer end 😂 Stoked you're enjoying the content and I really appreciate your comment 😁!
Absolutely captivating! The way you capture the beauty of New Zealand’s wilderness is truly inspiring. Every shot and story speaks volumes of your passion and dedication to showcasing the untamed wonders of our land. Thank you for bringing us along on these breathtaking adventures - it’s a privilege to experience these remote gems through your lens ☺️
You've done it again!! . . .superb story telling, great range of camera angles and footage and I'm also loving how you are so interested in all the little quirks and spectacles of nature (from rotting trees to worms and up close on Flounders and birdlife). MOST EXCELLENT. And wasn't that encounter with the approaching Chamois truly special. 👌
Thank you Greig! I greatly appreciate your kind words 😊. Rule #1 is always enjoy the little things! That chamois was soo cool, I particularly enjoyed how bristled his hackles were. Cheers!
At last! Lol...... 40 minutes later thanks for a great video. Man you were tinny with the weather. Been in Fiordland when all I've seen is rain for weeks on end.
I was thinking last night, "I wonder if NZ Wild Adventure is going to post another video soon." It didn't take long for the answer to arrive! Thanks for bringing us along. It has been a lot of fun watching your adventures!
Really enjoy watching your videos Tasman, your positiveness really comes to the fore when problem solving, keep up the good journey,I look forward to seeing your next episode!
You are unbelievably lucky mate. You go places where human footprints have quite possibly not touched. The beauty of New Zealand, but specifically Fjordland is something that truly is breathtaking. I hiked Roys Peak in Wanaka for a sunrise a few years ago and it completely changed my life with the scenery. Can't imagine being on those peaks like you were. Simply unbelievable. Truly hope your channel blows up so you can continue to do what you love.
Super lucky! But also the far remotes are my happy place so I make sure these trips keep coming 😂. The scenery is spectacular aye! Couldn't quite believe how stunning it was, particularly with the weather I had. Thanks so much! Would be amazing if I could do this as my full time gig 😊
You were lucky with the weather and water clarity, and a perfect animal for the pot, it would be hard to starve in that place, plenty of options, loved your spear, I'm sure some young hunters watching will have stored that idea away for future use, looking forward to the next one, best of luck.
So lucky aye! Yeah you'd be struggling to not catch something 😆 weird lack of deer in that tops trip tho! Can't beat a good sharpened stick 😂 cheers mate!
aweome video! you have managed to capture more than most would realise exists in this special place. just found your youtube channel and am going to go watch your past videos and keen to see your future adventures as well. keep up the good mahi bro!
Excellent small boat - make that tiny boat - adventure in the wild south of New Zealand. The flounder spear was so effective. Can say much about the weather - it was incredible winter weather . Great quality video thanks Tasman. Hope your Asian adventure is fun.
Cheers Richard! Those flounder weren't trying to get away very hard 😂. So lucky with the lack of rain aye! Asia was excellent, now I'm catching up with Arved in Sunny Ireland 😅😂. Thanks mate!
That was absolutely mind blowing Tasman! Definitely going to sit in the top 5 of my favourite NZ Wild Adventures videos! From the tops with Chamois to the ocean floor, taking Flounder with the Tasman Edition GoPro Spear, and we can't forget sand flies invading your personal space! 🤣😂🤣😂 Awesome stuff mate! Thankyou for another epic share!
Thanks so much Sam! Hahaha that's awesome to hear 😆. Oh I got my sweet revenge on the sandflies in the next episode (catch n cook) 😂. Thanks for watching, stoked you enjoyed it!
What an amazing adventure you are having, it certainly shows your high knowledge of bush craft. Oh, to be as young and as fit as you are again. Your camera work and subject matter is tops. Thank you so much for sharing 👌.
That was epic Tasman, except for the sandflies, they were unnecessary, totally unnecessary! That Kotare, was it out at night? I had no idea they were nocturnal. I smiled when those people asked you to "tea" because clearly they were taking pity on you, and hadn't seen the gourmet meals you make. And then reciprocal thank you gifts, and thank you for the thank you gifts. Very nice people, which I expect are very welcome when you're away so long. It's like a 7 episode BBC series in 37mins. I agree, I could also watch forever... and it took about 20 seconds to forgive the break in two weekly videos.
Thanks Paul!! Sandflies were nasty in places 😂 my plan of them being fewer I'm numbers in the winter didn't really work out 😂. Hahaha they'd actually seen the channel before so I'm sure they were aware of the cookups 😆 super nice to meet them, though part of the charm of such a long trip is the significant lack of people 🤣. Glad you enjoy the longer ones! Hopefully it's not such a long wait til the next one 😂 Cheers!
You’re doing some of the coolest missions on youtube! These are really rural spots, would love to see a serious take on hunting not just a day hunt to see what is really hiding on those hills. Imagine what you’d see with 4-5 days up there
Thanks so much 😊 Haha who knows, might run into the last moose up there 😂 I'll definitely be doing the dusky track one day soon, so plenty of time to walk around on that trip!
You are amazing Tasman your vids and adventures just keep getting better and better. Your definitely up there with Josh and Jo as my favourite NZ content creators keep up the good work mate
Thanks for taking us on your adventure. I'm not sure I would have the courage to take on such a epic adventure. Love the little side take to waving ferns, spiders etc. ps - we now take a mincer on our trips! - you are changing the way we do things!
Cheers Ken! Really glad to hear you enjoy the little asides 😁. Hahaha that's epic, good on ya! Makes dinnertime a bit more varied eh 😋. I've actually been looking online and it looks like you can get ones as light as 400ish grams 👀
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Waited till we could sit back relax and fully focus on your latest vid, and enjoyed it thoroughly!!! The obsession with flounder was hilarious, nice one with the spear, got a surprise when you were filming that one and then viciously stabbed it in the head, I laughed with shock 😂😂😂 But flounder are so delicious 😋🤤 Love the story telling, unreal footage 😁 Thank you
That's awesome, glad to hear it!! Hahaha I was thrilled with em aye 😂 thanks, and yeah I was wondering if that bit would be a bit surprising while I was editing it 😂 but they were sooo succulent. Super stoked you enjoyed the vid! Cheers 😁

Keep on keeping on, and if you ever want a little NorthCanterbury farm getaway/hunt drop me a line... We'd love to host you sometime at Garry River Farm 🍒 🚜 🦌
Just awesome Tasman. I've been in the area with Pure Salt on Flightless. Am loving your adventure and appreciate the time you've put in to the footage. I might just watch it again!
Great video. Again. I'd love to be younger again and getting out there like you. Taking my 12yr old on his first 'proper' camp in a few weeks. "Proper" as in just Dad and limited gear, not the ten-mansion and everything my wife likes for 'camping'!. We're heading for Mt Thomas near ChCh (-ish). We're not yet hunting as only new to rifles and no training or guidance, but we're starting the journey. Thank you so much for continued inspiration and motivation.
