My heart sank when I saw this routine. I think it is unfair for the dancers to have to perform a routine so famous that it would only invite comparisons with the original dancers, Sabra and Neil, who were in a class of their own.

I agree that Lizzie is a fantastic dancer & supported her thoughtout the series However no matter how well she danced in the finals(and boy was she out of this world)Charlie seemed to just have the magic touch that night.I would just like to thank all 3 Lizzie, Charle & Tommy for wondergul dances thoughtout the series and I'm sure we see plenty more form all 3 in tthe future.
The US version with Sabra and Neil was better!! The best!!
When Sabra and Neil danced this i fell in love with it. These guys just kinda kept me engaged till the end...But didn't prompt me to press replay.

@Krys365 I think another part could be the outfits. The background is blue, and their wearing pinkish clothes! Sabra and Neil wore blues and stuff and everything just went so well with the blue lighting. Some reason why though may be:
1) The stage. The one in the US was perfect before Nigel had to mess it up and change it.
2) Sabra and Neil dancing this. (Sabra and Neil!)
3) Sabra and Neil were more flexible, so it was easier for them.
I think it mostly the damn stage. But S&N > L&T. Sorry.

@haelmendoza it is a modern/Jazz piece. Depending on how the routine is performed and the musice that is picked it could be used with two different styles of dance but in my oppinon, it's Jazz! I've danced both styles and this is jazz.

@shylydrya The reason why he did those moves is because Mandy Moore redid some of the choreography, the one that Neil and Sabra did was in 2007, and I don't know when these two danced this routine. But all that I would have loved to have seen Neil do the moves that Tommy did, Neil did a lot of his acrobatic moves perfectly, so I wouldn't be surprised if he did an excellent job with those moves.

In all fairness, you have to put it into perspective. Since this choreo was already done, it was choreographed to fit Sabra and Neil to a certain extent while these two just got 'thrown in', if you know what I mean. I DO agree that Sabra and Neil looked more comfortable but I think that just has to do with the fact that they were the originals to this routine. Lizzie and Tommy can't be to blame for being taught a routine that's already been done.

Totally agree that Sabra and Neil's dance to this is soooo much better. I think the difference is that with Sabra and Neil, there werent as many awkward holes where the dancers wait to make their next move. They filled it with more character. Not saying that Lizzie and Tommy's wasnt good. It just lacked a little detail and smoothness. Besides that, the additional 30 sec of new choreography ruined it. It took out the levels between the dancers as they were all unison here.

Yes. I do suspect Uncle Nige wanted to ensure a result that he wanted thus the OTT praise to Charlie and lukewarm comments to Tommy and Lizzie.
The american dancers convinced me more than this performance did and for the final I would have liked to have seen an original piece not a remake of something that has already been created for someone else beforehand.

Tommy is a brilliant dancer who will have a great future. He can rightly use this as apringboard. Now Charlie upped her game(and she was amazing before) last night. You certainly noticed her in the Chicago Duet & most certainly in the Tango.Charlie deserved to win on her dancing in the final.I had been supporting Lizzie all the way so I am neutral and not knocking either Tommy or Charlie

how did tommy not win??? he's so mesmerising to watch, charlie's easy to not notice!!!
@akramfddd agreed that this routine was no where nearly as amazingly performed as Sabra and Neil. But I believe that the dance which stole the night, was the lyrical with Charlie and Drew...which was absolutely incredible...and not copied??!? Even Nigel says that one wasn't copied.... so saying sytycd uk has no originality, is a bit wrong. and some dancing that have been re-performed from the US show are so much better than when it was done in the US show, such as Charlie and Robbie's dance :)

This exact dance was doneon SYTYCD in the United States a few seasons ago...what's up with that !?

I agree that Charlie doesn't seem stand out in group dances or solos but I think she's much better in her duets.

Tommy is amazing and should have won. Loved that these two are hip hop dancers but nailing this to the ground. My favourite bit starts at 1:18. Look how tight they were. Both really are excellent dancers!
Its season 3 table routine.
Maybe it's to save time + money . Mandy Moore did however choreograph a new lyrical piece for Charlie/Drew in the same finals

I agree, he routed for her from the start. I believed Tommy or if not Lizzie should have won.
So... I think that Mandy just wanted to upgrade this great routine and show it. But I still like the first version much better. This one was OK, but... Sabra and Neil expressed it better. I dont know much about dancing, but this competion is also about communicating with audience. Although Lizzie and Thommy were great, they couldnt meet the high standards of S and N. And I agree, that it was really unfair to give them this routine.

He is an amazing performer in all of his dances!! Neil and Sabra have better technique but this version have more interpretation (in my opinion).
damn that Tommy is so freakin' good in every routine I watched irregardless of his partner. now how that heck did Charlie win? its like tommy carried her through to the finals in every routine they did!

I have to say these two are good dancers, but in comparison Neil and Sabra did a better job. It was sharper and had a great flow to it, although, I didn't like how there were some pauses in the original. When Tommy and Lizzie did some of the more memorable moves Neil and Sabra did, it just didn't flow as well. Even though there were some good alterations, I still like the original better. Although, I am happy that they at least got to do something a little different, than the total original.
After watching it, I have to have Sabra and neil nailded it SO well. I'm sorry to say that Lizzie looks far too BIG inthis dance, and the table looks so tiny. (I do like lizzie, but Sabra is so much better!)

Why did Charlie win?? Tommy's more versatile...He's a hip hop dancer but he nails every single dance he was in....It's all just because of the votes...If there weren't any voting criteria, I think Tommy would've won...
Neil and Sabra were much better playing this choreography, I'm sorry more Lizzie and Tommy, do not have any chemistry as they danced.

woah what the hell neil and sabra did this exact dance season 3 on so you think you can dance America! they did this was a few years ago 3, 4 maybe? i have no idea and when was this? this past febuary? what the hell? they cannot do that!!!!! might i add that neil and sabra did it so much better!
Same, Charlie was good but it felt as if it just wasn't her time, and Tommy should have won. He deserved it.

I wonder who did this coreography, gives me a strong "déjà vu" feeling. Oh wait, It was the US verson. Isn't is illegal to copy something almost identically like this... Cause yea, they're good and all but C'mon!!
get over it. the best dances this year werent the ones that were copies from the usa show. and they openly say on the show that the dance was done on the usa show. so get over it.

If SYTYCD UK wants to be a hit show and as independant as the US version, why remake an old routine ??? first of all they could never top sabra & neil, which are two of the best dancers ever on sytycd, and it's just not as exciting to watch !!! really disapointing...

Look I don't really care if this dance was done before on the American version or in someone's back room . I'll tell you what I do care about do I like it or not? It doesn't matter to me that the piece was recycled, green is in.
I do have to say that Sabra & Neil's version was much cleaner & tighter. You could pick out every step & move they did. Neil held the arm stand over the table longer (as he is a gymnast). I think the US dancers' costumes were sleeker - which helped.
I think I preferred Sabra and Neil, but probably because that was the one I saw first. Plus, they were more or less in there own style, these two are not.

I dont think Sabra and Neil were that much better than Tommy and Lizzie. Sabra and Neil clearly had the better technique, but i think Lizzie and Tommys energy was a lot better. Sabra and Neil seemed kinda stiff sometimes. And of course,lizzies and tommys technique was not as good as sabras and neil, cause they are both hip-hop dancers and not as experienced in ballet as sabra and neil.
But i still think they shouldn't have used the same routine twice.

This was Sabra & Neil's routine.
personally, i prefer this version to the US one. i feel as though these people are more real and, although in some aspects sabra and neil may be better dancers, lizzie and tommy are better actors, which is actually pretty damn important in dancing.
this version also feels more raw and amazing. whereas, the US one seems more pretty and perfect. this is just my opinion, but this one just stands out more to me.

Unfortunately having seen Sabra and Neil, It makes her look bad in comparrision.
Im sorry but this was horrible compared to the original dance where neil and sabra danced to. I sensed more energy where neil and sabra were dancing. While I was watching this i got bored and felt awkward because there was absolutely no chemistry.
Can anyone tell me WHY they are taking the old routines and giving them to the UK dancers?? It's unfair. For example, i disliked this routine just because I loved the Sabra and Neil's version better.

angrey right now because they made a worst version of what sabra and neil did amazingly few years ago and not only that
they also corrupted some of the best movement in that routine. shame on you
