I've been trying to do extensive research on computer software programs. Igor I was hoping maybe you could do a video about how the chess programs work and how we can try to beat them.
When I was just learning the movement of pieces two boys were playing the game and one started counting the squares the other objected saying not allowed. He must have counting squares occupied but they were playing Indian style chess, much later I learnt about international style.
It seems to me that we cannot get the Knight to f6 for a Royal Fork. Nd5 probably justifies taking with the Bishop Bxd5, because exd5 allows Qxd5, and the Black Queen gets out in the open to help support Black's a and b pawns begin their march. Therefore, lifting the Rook up looks like the best option, though White has to untangle his doubled pawns at some point.
I think white has to play carefully here. Rf6 is a natural move, but what do you do next? Doubling the rooks looks impressive, but it allows black to open up the queen side with a5. If black finds a way to open up the position, then the queen could create havoc. I wondered about c4 to give the knight a protected square on d5. Or maybe try for d4 and d5 to squeeze the bishop onto c2. If e5xd4, that undoubled the pawns, but e4 might be weak. All quite tricky!
@@grahamf695 You are right - perhaps it's better to tidy up White's pawns first, to see what Black does. The Black Bishop's a pain because it stifles the Knight so much.
According to the America's Foundation for Chess, there are 169,518,829,100 ,544,000,000,00 0,000,000 ways to play the first 10 moves of a game of chess. Also, this morning i tried to kill a raisin with bug spray.
Are we still playing this first, second, third game? I thought that died several years ago, like ASL in the early 2000's, LOL after every comment you said.

These videos are very helpful!
Really helpful, thanks Igor. It would be really helpful to learn how to improve this position without losing control of it.
Too short! This is the start of my day; it has messed up my routine! haha Thanks Igor.

And there I was thinking that pawn C4 was a good and principled move (you control more squares and remove 3 from the opponent).

Nice theoretical lecture, thanks.
Thanks
Glad you liked it!
