Very very wonderful conversation. Thank you Mr Minister for what you’re doing. May God richly bless you and our President BAT. NIGERIA SHALL BE GREAT AGAIN!
Great interview. Here's a minster that knows his stuff and appears to be working to get tangible results. May God help him achieve these dreams for Nigeria. Nigeria desperately needs a way out of this financial crisis. God bless Nigeria.
Thank you minister for that one on the DNA of Nigerians. One solution is to rewrite our civic studies curriculum to capture most and all salient behavior issues in our society and start teaching them to kids right from nursery school age. I saw a kindergarten civic education note of a preK in the US and they were being taught the different definitions of Integrity. One definition says that integrity means to see something and say something. Another one says that Integrity doesn’t mean being your brother’s keeper when the brother is committing crime. Can we pass this up to the ministry of orientation?
The question is not just about tapping into the solid mineral resource but the main bone of contention is how to ensure that average Nigerian citizen feels the effects of this new line of revenue in their daily lives. In other words, ensuring the money made does not end up in the pockets of corrupt politicians and/or individuals of status. Question: What is the government planning to do with the newfound wealth and how is it engaging the citizens on the factors that would determine the success of effective usage of these new revenue generating dispositions???
Stopping illegal mining is not on its own a solution. You must find a structure for legitimising viable mining operations. Especially if the govt itself has zero capacity to explore such mining itself. A bit like the refining of petroleum. For a country that imports refined fuel at great cost, it could do worse than bring illegal refining online to become part of a legal producing economy. The solution to every problem is not always a hammer.
Since the discovery of the oil none of the government has done solid good roads for Nigerians speciality pdp Even the so-called Obi they have none one good solid roads in Anambra

Nigeria is just approaching the issue of its mining industry the very wrong way... it will only bring unequitable distribution of wealth, hunger and suffering amidst plenty.. The States should take charge of the mining in their domains to be viable enough to take care of its people...
Alake was one of Tinubu's hitman during the election. Now bein rewarded with the minister of minerals. A position he knows nothing about. Just like his cohort the aviation Minister Femi, a position he knows nothing about too. How can the nation like this move forward?😭

You think it takes one day or o e year to start mining.
