Even when she's running the intro, Karina just can't help herself from derailing everything the minute Jacob starts speaking
This is the most sane intro in a while. I'm impressed 😂
hosting an episode correctly is bottom behavior and Karina will not participate in that
Karina is a natural contrarian, she's Craig Robinson in The Goods
Karina teasing Nathan for knowing what a warforged is and then not 5 minutes later fake-bragging about knowing what a warforged is without acknowledging that Nathan already brought it up is so funny to me
Just girl boss things I guess
@@jtizzle124gaslight ✅ gatekeep ✅ girlboss ✅
@@scrbusaucuparia Those are all toxic behavior things.
@@Shadows_Incno they're not you're imagining things
@@imanharrisidham8971 How are they not? You might want to look up what gaslighting and gatekeeping are. If slowly lying to someone over time to change their opinion and thoughts to better suit you, or purposefully keeping people out of something they might be interested in, isn't toxic, then I'm not sure what is. That and "girlboss" is inherently sexist based on the fact that it is separating the genders to elevate a position, and removing the equality from a word that is genderless to start with. Be a boss, not a sexist "girlboss". There's no need to bring up the gender of a boss if gender doesn't actually matter, right?
nathan's joke about moulin rouge being the sequel to mulan was both incredible and underappreciated
I didn't even catch that, thank you for helping that excellent joke (which I'm stealing forever) get the attention it deserves
It seems like every episode Julia’s grasp on pop culture is becoming more and more tenuous. Waiting for the day she says “who’s that guy who… he died, then came back? He’s got, like, a birthday???”
JESUS CHRIST???
Immortal entity julia is undeniable canon
Can we just take a moment to appreciate just how quickly Jacob was able to get to Crank from Julia's prompt "pill where you can't stop movie." The two of them were ment to be together.
The way he so rapidly picks up on her references/weird reachy jokes is absolutely adorable lifepartners-of-whatever-flavor goals
Jacob is the Julia translator
@@ItsAsparageeseI still remember that time when Julia said about her fav movie being Togadamaru and Jacob was the only one that got the joke is about the Edge Of Tomorrow
@@HelloThere-cz9ti Yeah that might be my favorite example lol
Do NOT ship Jacob and Julia.. they are MARRIED
My last DnD character was actually a Warforged Bard! She had been manufactured as part of a matched set representing the Muses.
That's such a cool idea
I have an animatronic warforged bard ala chuck e cheese built and ready to go, inspired by Travis McElroy's character in TAZ: Hootenanny
The clank bard in the flesh, no wait..... steel?
A friend of mine was talking about making a Warforged Bard based on The Spine from the band Steam Powered Giraffe. No idea if he ever did but I've always liked the idea and I think it fits perfectly as an out-of-time automaton fighter turned performer turned back into fighter
Any connection to Girl Genius?
I'm starting to think Karina can ONLY choose violence.
Violence is not the answer. It's a question, and for Karina, the answer is always yes
To paraphrase a childrens book (Dear Dumb Diary), “Violence is never the answer. Unless your question is, hey Karina, what’s the answer?”
Maybe she should play Dark Urge in Baldy's Gate 3.
Which means there is no choosing. Karina wakes up and *is* violence.
I'm starting to think Karina can ONLY choose ANNOYING
Julia: I'm having a thought
Karina: uh oh
Jacob: Please don't
*Scooby Doo voice*
13:39
Historians will debate if Karina actually forgot that she shut down Nathan from talking about warforged mere minutes before, or if it was all a bit.
my favorite genre of drawfee character is “new yorker complaining about fantastical minor inconveniences”
YOU HORSE ZEALOT!
The phrase “Adam from Bible” really tickled me 😂
Gotta make sure everyone knows it's Adam (bible) because so easily could it be assumed they mean Adam (VLD) or Adam (Skate Infinity).
@@nejishadowthe three genders of Adam
Dont forget about Adam (Mythbusters)
@Tyriad_ also Adam (Cole, from AEW) or Adam ("Hangman" Page, also from AEW)
Edit: I forgot Adam ("Edge" Copeland, also from AEW)
@@vivk2932or Adam (Record of Ragnarok)
Or Adam (Torah)
Nathan's "Mulan" Rouge joke went by unnoticed but I wanted to say that I noticed it. And cracked up.
Jacob destroying Karina's ability to focus, speak, or respond during Julia's drawing, even making her fade briefly out of existence at 22:07, feels like ultimate vengeance for every intro ever
Ah, the Revenge ark is beautiful
@HelloThere-cz9ti Interrupt every intro since the dawn of creation? The penalty a four (4) minute gigglefit and 3.2 seconds in the shadow realm!
The Horse Zealot really adds a lot to the Horse Divorce Discourse
Oh my god. He’s probably ordained too, he must perform horse weddings
Truthfully, I was getting excited when Nathan went off about how a clank bard could be a Warforged etc and then I got like that second hand shame when Karina started making fun
But I wholly appreciated her being like “it’s a bit Nathan, I like it”
I like a group of friends :)
I was with you on this journey lol
Then when she's trying to remember the name "warforged" but she'd cut him off from saying it I was like, "damn - so many friend groups like this" 😂 I love that they each nerd out about different things, and it's fun to hear Nathan go off about d&d because that's one of my special interests too.
5:04
No shame, D&D is cool af
I want to know what he was going to say.
I was there with you too.
Drawing Suggestion: draw characters or scenes based on completely out of pocket jokes Julia has made in past episodes.
I can't wait for "Field made of the entire cast of Cheers".
+
Oh man ... imagine if someone made a Drawfee reference (or even just Julia reference) mashup generator. We could end up with things like "Sphele made of the entire cast of Cheers", or "Hitman Merobiba"
I’d love to see another guess what Julia’s drawing, maybe with video game characters
Yes. Yes please, we need that.
I can't wait for her to draw Luigi again 😂 I love her Luigiverse
I'm still traumatized by Bobby Hill, I'm so scared of what Kukiyami--ass cryptid she'll end up drawing in a second episode
We've also got to see one where she tries to draw real people, if only for the fun of Julia drawing real people
i’m in love with the clank bard
edit: on the subject of horse pope, there was a horse in ancient rome called Incitatus who belonged to emperor Caligula. Caligula only ruled rome for about 4 years, but he’s well-known for being batshit insane - i bring this up because he wanted to make his horse, Incitatus, a consul (highest position in rome, second only to the emperor). he didn’t actually get to do it, because he was assassinated before the madman got an opportunity, but it is frightening how close he got
tl;dr - roman emperor tried to give his horse the second highest position in the roman hierarchy, but was assassinated before he could do so.
I think at some point the horse was in the senate, it might have been a senator. I don't remember it well.
Calling Caligula batshit insane is the nicest compliment he's ever received. Going to hell would be a pleasant trip for him and he would enjoy it too much.
@@alisaishere i agree, though i can’t find the words without going on a rant about his… caligula-ness
I know this is 2 months old but who was assassinated? The horse or the mad Roman emperor? Cause one outcome is taking care of a problem another is fighting crazy with crazy.
@@Zom13y the emperor was assassinated, though i’m pretty sure the horse was killed a few years later after injuring its leg. i wouldn’t put it past the people of rome at that time to assassinate a horse though, so it probably happened at some point
I can't fathom how close they came to the line with GUZZLORD without crossing it, and then went total dick crazy with Clank Bard. Thanks Karina.
I miss the good old days, when they were just like us.
who needs em
We all got'em
They're just lil guys
Damned Engineer was my husbands last D&D class, he was an artificer who got a cursed item that slowly turned him into an emotionless robot
Karina perfectly doing an intro and, when it pleases Jacob, aggressively backing out is so funny.
The "We're just normal men" set off a fit of laughter that had me in tears. Thank you. Heck.
I just got to that point and I laughed so much
just innocent men...
the “we’re just normal men” joke was UNDER-APPRECIATED
He did it again. It’s like five lines in and it’s already an incredibly expressive face like what the shit Jacob
I loved that all three of them, upon getting their prompt, went immediately into an idea that shaped up and was great. The prompts were just SO well suited that each person was like, "oh, it's this!" and that's so fun to see!! While I always love when all four of them draw, when they do it like this where one person does the legwork ahead to organize the prompts, the choices they make are always so thoughtful and fun.
When Karina says "I like when you talk about the things you like" I was immediately aware that nobody has ever said that to me in 35 years of life. I need therapy lel
Right? I love when people gush about their passions
I like when you talk about the things you like! I mean, I like it when everyone talks about the things they like, so it's not just you, but it's true of you too! What things do you like? Tell me about them, I'll trade back some fun facts about my interests if you want
Haha talking about myself is very embarrassing when prompted, catch me in an ADHD fueled frenzy screaming at the moon about my dnd campaign ideas.
@@CurtisCaza Relatable, lol. But hey at least now you've had someone tell you we (I think I speak for lots of friendly people, especially here) like it when you talk about things you like! I hope that vibe sticks with you 😊 Also I'm the type of nerd who doesn't game DND or other RPGs much but loves generally hearing/learning about them so please do go off if you feel like it at some point lol
I love listening to people talk about the things they like! I like to talk a lot too and I always find it fun to hear others interests, I’m sure you’re interests are fascinating and there’d be tons of people who’d love to hear them! You just gotta find the right people /gen /pos
The damned engineer actually became damned when he married his damned wife. You can learn all about it in their manga, "damned if 'I do'"
The conversations during everyone’s drawings dipped in and out of feeling like a fever dream, but the beginning of damned engineer was really killin me for some reason. Banger episode gang
Jacob just singlehandedly helped me remember the name of the show I watched as a child in music class that I've been trying to remember for years. I loved Stomp!
I used the generator and got Railroad Bard. We could've had a skimbleshanks drawing 😂
karina: [complaining to her friends about bg3]
jacob: how fortunate, guess what this episode's about!
karina: WE'RE RECORDING??
You should do a sequel to this! They're not too difficult to discern what type of character it is, and you knocked it out pretty quick. Loved it ☺️
Clank Bard seems like a goofy guy that I would honestly love to have around
“He summons horse but in your mind”
What about
Instead of Phantasmal Force
It’s
Phantasmal Horse
Hey. Hey @ktntwireless.
Good joke.
@@jsmountain THANK you
Nailed it.
it would be really funny if they played actual DND with these new classes
Nathan's feels like the kind of random encounter enemy in a classic jrpg that just shows up and doesn't have any lore or explanation of what their whole deal is but clearly had so much love and thought put in to the design for that kind of throw-away...
it's been a long and exhausting day and just that soft kind "welcome to drawfee :)" felt like such a relief! episodes are always dropping right when I need them most
The custom graphics in the intro are top tier
god the clank bard is genuinely so adorable and i love him, he must become a real class
Julia extra killed it this episode with that illustration. Nathan was right about the brush.
So a week or two ago, my sister came into my living room and saw my Jacob Horse plushie, proudly placed on the backrest of my sofa.. I almost physically faught her, when she claimed I must have been scammed, cuz "that ain't no horse".. I am now a Jacob Horse Zealot..
16:57
Never would I imagine to see CBBC's own Hacker T. Dog guest star on a Drawfee episode.
Massive pull.
Nathan: "You could be a Warforged Bard."
Karina: "Oh god, here he goes again."
~5mins later~
Karina: "What's the thing in D&D where it's like FMA?"
Julia: "Chimera?"
Jacob: "Warforged."
Nathan: "...yeah."
The Damned Engineer _had_ a table, but it broke. And then he fixed it. But then it ran off, laughing maniacally.
Extremely fun. The delivery of Jacob's prompt was excellent
Karina never fails to confuse me by making fun of someone for knowing something popular and then proceeding to make the most obscure references possible. I've probably learned of the existence of 30 different animes just because of her.
Julia: “maybe god put horse on the earth to get rid of the sinful fruit🧐”
Karina: “omggg ur a genusss”
Julia: “I knoww 😌”
Me: “we’re all genuses in our own special ways🤗👹”
As someone who has worked for the Disney company for over 5 and a half years and is bound by NDAs, and has been a lifelong Disney historian for even longer, I'm just glad the truth is finally out there and I didn't have to get my hands dirty.
Jacob's ability to bust out a perfect lil' guy just like that is so enviable.
Warforged Artificier Bard was what came to mind immediately when I heard Clank Bard so I’m glad that was at least in part brought up lol
“Maybe we’ll do a sequel” - don’t lie to us, I’ve been waiting for sequels for so many challenges!
Every drawing was a banger today (well, even more than usual.) Every single one had an interesting and dynamic stylization and character design, probably my favorite set of drawings from any drawfee video in recent memory.
When the Drawfee editor put up a picture of Karlach when they had the exact perfect setup to put up an image of Dammon; THAT was my villain origin story.
Also omg Julia accidentally drew a really good Zevlor fanart.
hello karina, this may help you understand some of the basics:
- a bard is like if a wizard was a slut
- a warlock is like if a wizard had a sugar daddy
- a sorcerer is like if a wizard was a nepo baby
- a druid is like if a wizard ate mushrooms
- a cleric is like if a wizard found christ
- wizard
when Karina says Adam was a horse, and then rushes to add "and so was Eve" because she knows what kind of freaks are watching
Hank Green is known for explaining tough concepts in an understandable way. What if he explained everyday ideas badly? Like in the style of Zach Anner describing movies (who I would still love to see back on the show!)
• Hank is in remission! & I’m still hopeful that someday he will come back to Drawfee :)

Nathan's made me think of Robots, I envision his bard played by Robin Williams...or he doesn't have a voice like walle...maybe his voice exchanges like the lil robot in Robots who didn't have a voice box chip
And thanks to Jacob "do you know?" Diana Ross's song is in my head now
Ah yes the hit game of 2023.... Baldi's Gate in Education and Learning
Such a clear Instant Classic
Dear Jacob,
Don't worry, friend, I caught that "Normal men" reference. I see and appreciate you!
Once again Jacob makes a reference I can relate to. I, too, saw Stomp as a kid
The Clank Bard is giving strong Tik-Tok vibes. The robot from Return to Oz, not the app. Horse Zealot is straight out of Over the Garden Wall. Damned Engineer is a Star vs. the Forces of Evil character.
9:11 the narrative closer of that song is the fact that the real girl worth fighting for is the little girl they failed to save in the town as they happen upon a broken doll in the ransacked town
No joke. Right as Karina said "we're talking about Skate!", I got a midroll ad about an elderly dog skateboarding while drinking Red Bull.
Coincidences!
I definitely want to see more of this, just good clean fun and very creatively engaging
I enjoy that adding 'Fahrenheit' for emphasis, is just actually far cooler than any other measurement of temperature. Just really stressing that it's less than it could be.
The fact that you can get a horse to be pope in crusader kings years before this video came out is absolutely something.
Nathan: this guy's a war forged.
Karina: What? Anyway this guy's a war forged.
The way that there is now technically two demonic engineers in the drawfee pantheon. As an engineering major I feel so seen. (The other one is Demon Johnny from Drawga if I’m remembering his profession correctly)
Bard, Cleric, and Artificer DnD group would actually be pretty cool! Plus these characters specifically interacting with each other would be fantastic :)
Speed Draw Suggestion: Finishing off *each others CHILDHOOD drawings*
Similar to the 'Finishing each others line art' episode. But adding in the old 'Redrawing our childhood drawings' episodes.
Interpreting each others childhood scribbles into full artistic beauty ~☆
I appreciate Karina specifying that Hell measures temperature in Fahrenheit. It totally would.
Do you even realise how hard it is when your partner in headphones asks you what you're laughing at and you have to try and explain "oh it's just a bit about how there were protests about how Disney wouldn't let the three soldiers in Mulan bust a nut?"
I love Jacob's Horse Zealot an inordinate amount.
Nathan deserved at least a chuckle for that "Mulan Rouge" joke.
I'm in between glasses right now, so drawfee was the perfect thing to watch with my unfiltered blurry vision
Karina: "skating is a metaphor for..."
Nathan: "apples"
Karina: "...being queer"
Nathan: "oh"
This one's for Nathan.
When he summons a horse inside your mind so all you can think about is horse, is he casting 'phantasmal horse?'
Drawfee yo'selves as the 7 deadly sins, but still apart of a sitcom family.
Been asking for this since Halloween 2019.
"I'm a trashcan trashman who clonks" is a Numenera character. Like, a complete concept. You literally made a whole Numenera character by uttering that sentence.
Love how Julia's brush brings out those Al Hirschfeld squiggles.
“The Engineer of Damnation” sounds like a great name for a Warlock patron. One that is a patron of warforged and artificer multiclasses.
15:00 you know that you’ve been watching too much drawfee when this conversation makes perfect sense to you
David the editor might be the funniest member of Drawfee
I LOVE the clank bard so much
Warlock-bard multiclass is the devil who went down to Georgia.
I love that the Damned Engineer just looks like a really overworked tech guy who is just over it all lol
I somehow misread the title as Drawing Fantasy *Cheeses* and was fully prepared to watch these goofy goobers draw cheese for half an hour
That's definitely something Nathan and Caldwell would've done in the early days of Drawfee
Clank Bard gives off such Samurai Jack robot energy and I love it
I love Nathan's (midwest?) accent when he's talking about the Damned Engineer. I hope that he can get on Dimension 20 at some point.
He's been great on NADDPOD, so that's close!
Jacob, the horse zealot is amazing. You win the episode.
I went through this generator with my friends for hours after this episode aired, i gotta say Ethereal Cowboy is my favorite one ive gotten
Can't wait for the sequel, Randomly Generated Fantasy Classes 2 where everyone finally gets to bust.
I feel like Karinas joke about “…like the Genius Bar” was way under appreciated
Clank Bard: “Needs more cowbell.”
karina has gotten so much more comfortable over the years
Horse zealot reminded me of a good item i made once.
In the D&D world, there are planes like Fire and Water. There's an item, at least back during DnD 2nd , where it was a magic water container that never ran out of water due to its nature of the inside being directly linked to the the Plane of Water.
There are also multitudes of a demiplanes that are more specific in concept like the Cave of Monkeys (The Horde, 1990) which is, just as it sounds like, is a demiplane connected to a cave entrance that is the home of a greater spirit named "Monkey" or "Hu Sen"
Using that concept , I thought that since there is a Plane of Earth and Positive Energy and such, why not a Plane of Horse?
You would pour this jug and it would be a torrent of infinite horses. Like that scene in LoTR with the river horses but not water or giant, but just a whole bunch of horses charging.
It was decided on the spot these were mindless horse spirits that could trample but not actually be killed (but still dispelled etc) and VERY NOT REAL.
It happened when I unleashed the horse jar unto a lich but there was a river of piping hot lava behind the target.
Did not want to think of the sound or smell if they were real...
Whenever the music teacher in my elementary school wanted to give us a "movie day" it was ALWAYS Stomp. I saw that multiple times a year for five years. Then one day in middle school, our drama teacher was going on vacation and was asking us in her class what movies we'd want to watch. The moment she said "stomp" the entire class (or a very loud portion of it) more or less shouted "NO". She was so confused at our united ire, but took it in stride and I think found it funny in the end. Idk what we watched instead, but it wasn't Stomp.
In hindsight, Stomp was a really neat example of improvised instruments, but yeah.
Nothing sums up violence on sight quite like Karina realising Jacob is doing his intro speil
