I love how Nathan is part of the original Drawfee crew, but in the modern videos he comes across as a random hobo that Karina picked up off the street in the rain three days ago who is now thoroughly overstaying his welcome.

7:42 okay I was midway into ranting about how the fascist interpretation of god is what happens when you worship intrusive thoughts and shit, and Jacob accidentally out of context describing a memetic version of that process with his close good friends I _lost it_
They even go into the arched doorway Plato cave in this context (instead of the fun good time mystery ink door of the drawfee and the art that it actually is.*)

*I think at some point in some fandom space in the past 15 years I heard someone try to genuinely argue that like, “context isn’t that important” and I will literally never forget how incorrect that is. This is an exercise in how much English is a purely context based language (which is really useful for poetry and doing bits but incredibly unhelpful for like. Building and maintaining a society that doesn’t self immolate in, on a historical scale, seconds)

2:05 - ohhh, that song. "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap. The 'mm whatcha say' bit was remixed into a Jason Derulo song, but hers is the original. Which is about the feeling of seeing a room empty of furniture after living in it for 15 years... She also produced music under the name FrouFrou.
I've only ever heard it in context of the meme 😂
