Life advice as much as it is drumming advice. Constantly comparing oneself to others will only lead to disappointment. Wake up every morning and work on being your best self for you alone, and that's enough.

Interesting insights that also someone Like Peter still thinks that way. For me he is the Most underrated/least known Drummer from the best Players i Heard. Listen to Dream Theater audition Videos or James Labrie Solo Records, incredible stuff There on the Drums. Creative, Groove, technical and fast. Check out „one more time“ and „i Need you“

Might I suggest checking out Mike Johnston and JP Bouvet (here on UA-cam). Both are phenomenal teachers/players, and maybe checking out a lesson or two will give you those fresh concepts to practice and get excited about playing again.
