Jill’s book was written with love. She expresses her feelings with grace, trying hard not to draw her siblings into the conflict, and professes gratitude for her upbringing. A parent at some point has to relinquish control and trust that their grown child has learned and can make good choices as you and Austin have.
I ordered my copy yesterday can’t wait for it to arrive.

Glad you will read Jills book. You should feel proud to be her sister and one of her buddies. Jill's been extremely honest and open in the book and one thing is very clear she has a ton of love for her sibling, you are all extremely lucky in that respect.
Austin-you asked “wouldn’t you read a book that a family member wrote about your family? Duh.” It shows your maturity and grace.
I read Jill's book. She was honest, but also incredibly respectful despite everything that went down. Definitely worth a read.
I agreed 100% percent with you. She showed so much respect and love for her siblings, except for the one that abused her.

Forced to film everything from her teen years when she was getting her wisdom teeth pulled and was crying and terrified, to her courtship, her wedding, the birth of her first child. And she wasn’t getting a penny. Her dad got it all. He used her.
@@fionah787 if you watch her interview with access Hollywood she explains why she wrote the book. It wasn’t for the money. I don’t believe Jingers was either. I thought it was a really good interview. The one I found on UA-cam was around half n hour.
You handle invasive questions with such grace. And you don't even need to answer them, but you did it well.
Yes simply enjoying life I really 100% agree with you some questions are so private and invasive I think it’s shows how much grace and courage both joy and Austin have to answer a lot of questions you get asked !
I’ve been married 40 years. My husband has always taken responsibility for arguments, even when I am mostly at fault. He would never point a finger at me… only back at himself. That was very convicting.
He always told me that his job in our relationship is to love me as Christ loves the Church.
That is a selfless man you’re blessed to be married to.
My husband says the same thing. We are both blessed.

They mentioned towards the beginning of their Q and A that they’re no longer following or adhering to the teachings of the IBLP movement. I’m So very happy for them for making that decision. Like Austin said, we believe and follow the Bible not a man unless it’s Jesus of course.🙂

I love how Joy and Austin worded their answer for the IBLP question. Their answer was not in any way putting down those who are still a part of it... their answer was kindly phrased while still being honest and true to them.
They will be many years overcoming their upbringing. In many ways, their generation will always carry scars. One can only hope to see much healing in the futures of their offspring.

When I was pregnant with my 4th baby and just a few days before she was born. I heard a God's voice in my head say this was it. Cause after my last 3 after they were born, I would always say I wanted 6. But God gave me 4 Beautiful babies, which are my world, now 10 grandkids and 1 great grandbaby. ❤❤❤

I feel like you are trying to defend Austin from the haters. Just because he is a Christian quiet man doesn't mean he is abusive. Many of us are married to quiet men who don't usually have the right words but they show love through action. He is ok just the way he is. If you both are happy don't justify yourself to others. Everyone has issues and needs to grow. You are fine with your good and bad

For our 25th we went to Australia and New Zealand. Always wanted to go to New Zealand and even had a work permit visa after high school before college but thought I’d I took a year off I’d never go to college. It was an amazing trip.

Just finished Jill’s book in under two days. I love the honesty that y’all give , and how you don’t necessarily follow IBLP or what your parents done. You still have a heart for Jesus and teach your children to love Jesus and others and I think it’s all beautiful.

If y'all ever want to move west, northern Nevada is wonderful! We're close to so many lakes and rivers (Lake Tahoe is my favorite!), it's a couple of hours over the hill to Apple Hill Farms (wonderful this time of year), and we're only four or so hours from the closest beaches. 😊❤

I love that you can still feel the love between Joy and Austin. They married so young and have there babies at such a young age but they put Christ at the head of their lives and are purposing to be the best they can be

I’m so much like Evie when I go camping. I set up camp, shoes off and in the water the whole time. If you travel to California again again you should go to Hurkey Creek in the San Bernardino Mountains. It’s amazing
Hurkey Creek was our family's favorite camping spot when we lived in southern California. 😊
@@tigrlady2u my husband and I are empty nesters and that’s what we do with our weekends now, go to Hurkey Creek and unwind . Then we go to idilwild and have dinner or we’ll wait and have breakfast up there
