GRRRRRRREEEAAATT Mike !! I LOVE the sounds an video editing... U took me back atleast 50 plus years... & a FABULOUS RIDE TOO !! Thankyou VERY MUCH sir..
I live a couple minutes away from the Seashore Trolley Museum and I find trolleys very interesting as I don’t see them get talked about. I don’t know too much about them but I still think they’re charming pieces of rail history.
@𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙁𝙖𝙣 Thanks for this fabulous video. At this moment I'm having a terrible bout with insomnia and just cannot get to sleep. So I logged on to YT and was directed to this terrific channel. Such great stuff!
July 2022..........Nice!......When me and my gal vacationed in San Francisco, in the early 1990s, we made sure to take both cables cars and the trolley cars available . In my home town, Cleveland, Ohio,....there was, (and still is) a trolley service. The routes were only East and West,....nothing went North & South For the longest time it was a charming, older styled car. When I was growing up there, 1953 to 1977,....it traveled through some of the poorest neighborhoods, on the far West side. You saw views of the slums, and lots of dilapidated, housing and abandoned factory sites. I don't believe it went very fast,....not much more than 45 mph. It wasn't air conditioned,....the windows opened. It didn't run for 24 hours, either.
Watching some of these units and they had to be one that must have come from Cincinnati back in the day. I have seen photos but it wonderful to see them in action. TY MIKE!
Excellent selection of USA trams. I must check the internet for a similar video of trams in this country. After years of ripping up track many British cities are relaying lines and extending old ones to ease the problem of getting about. Edinburgh relayed track down the centre of the city after years of neglect. Trams age getting to be THE thing for urban short trips.
In both Cleveland, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio, they had their trolleys, operate on the streets, along side of the automobile traffic. Those street trolleys were phased out, at the end of the 1940s. Cleveland, retained its only trolley service, that rides on its own dedicated track, and crosses streets and roads, but is never rolling along side of road traffic.
9:05 the blue line cars look older than the other UTA cars. 11:37 i hear a steam locomotive's whistle in the background 13:36 the full ad red car looks out of place in the Twin Cities streetcar! 20:30 San Diego's 1980s built cars numbered in 1000s are diminishing and being replaced by 3000 and 4000 series cars. Have you ever been to the Illinois Railway museum? they have a large collection of trolleys, streetcars, and interurban cars. Kansas City recently opened their modern streetcar line, which I have video of on my channel! Great Job! Can't wait to see more!
I liked how it included the metro transit of the Twin Cities, I see those a lot when I'm out there. Though a shocker to me is that there's no footage of any trollies at Illinois Railway Museum, where you can see literally hundreds :P
Thanks for the comment! I've been to the IRM but it was a number of years ago and I didn't think the videos were good enough for this. But, I did include two other trolley museums in here.
It is good film. The old stuff is the best. Heck them new red white blue ones couldn't even break 45. Also have you ever heard of electric city trolley museum they have a good fleet of trolleys that run on a historic electric railroad.
San Diego Has the Best Trolleys in the world with 4 lines Orange Line, Green Line,Blue line and finally sliver line the red trollers runs the the 3 main lines while the old trolley runs the sliver and coaster runs a separate line making San Diego the train city
Another great video. The Utah trolleys almost sound like they have a transmission, like they were downshifting when decelerating. Is that possible? Thx. Marty
That's an interesting question. I think it's caused by switching electrical circuits while increasing and decreasing power, but it's only my personal opinion. If you have time, you can search for the right answer. The trolleys should be the Siemens S70.

Do any of these trolleys go to Tahiti?
10:24 This what Los Angelites used to ride before they fell in love with their cars.
Yeah, screw the car people for killing off the streetcar/trolley/tram
@@shanewalters2565 Car people didn't kill it. General Motors and their streetcar scheme got rid of it.

@@CoasterFan2105 Why don't you make videos on the San Francisco cable cars? Those are real icons

Thanx for the video. Good job. You put a lot of effort into getting those shots.
Still it’s super cool!
Thanks.
Thanks for including the mattapan-ashmont line in Boston
No problem, thanks for watching!
Britts see trolleys everyday at markets, though here in the US, we normally behold shopping carts as a normal sight.
Excellent!

The trolley from San Diego it's called MTS trolley so we went to America plaza station
U should go to the sea shore trolley mine they have hundreds of trolleys there but only a some amount of them run
I probably would’ve watched the whole video if only you had some graphics that showed where each one was located.
Checkout the streetcars of New Orleans.
ahh. the good old uta. it's funny they use a s70 on the to most mainly used lines green and red. while a sd100 is on their red line Trolley
*blue line
Orange Cars on the "T" are Boston.
Oh cool a wig wag right at the start
Oh and also San Francisco’s transit it wasn’t a trolley also it was a light rail.

How about a subways galore like do videos for Philly, LA, NYC, and all the others.
What day did record UTA? I've never seen the red or blue line with just one car. Usually I see them with 2-4 cars.
I think it was on a Sunday and a Monday evening.
Yes! i was hoping you would do this! did you do it in response to my request or did you get the idea on your own?
Yes! I've had a bunch of requests for this, so I finally got it out!
Trolley galore
You forgot the trolleys in Philadelphia
whats your second favorite commuter train and whats your favorite trolley train
Hmmm, that's a tough one. I like ACE, Metra, and MBTA a lot and pretty much all of the historic trolley operations.
