Can an Armadillo Give you Leprosy? Yes And No!
They are known to be protected from most common diseases due to their low body temperature, yet they have been feared for causing leprosy. They are actually known to carry the bacteria that can cause Leprosy, but since 95% of people are immune and it is easily treatable, there's really nothing to fear about these amazing animals. The few cases where people have been found to contact leprosy, it was due to eating the armadillo and not from direct contact.

That is for sure! It is said they actually help dig burrows for the endangered Gopher Tortisoe, as well as other animals!!
