- “World champion skydiver Dan Brodsky-Chenfeld reflects on surviving a plane crash in 1992.”
To learn more about Dan's Story, go read his book "Above All Else" (available on amazon here: www.amazon.com... )
So excited to finally be sharing this incredible story with you all, Dan truly is one of the strongest and most inspiring people I know, and it was an absolute honor to create this documentary with him. This film was created for my junior thesis at LMU, however I will not be submitting to any festivals due to my choice of copyrighted music. I decided I would rather tell the story in the way I saw best, rather than creating a piece designed for any sort of festival submission.

I’m a retired jumper (Perris) circa 2002-2013.
I remember Dan. Did some jumps with him over the years. Never knew he was on that load. Wow. Changes my whole perspective. I’m 46 now. Maybe I should start jumping again :-)
What a brilliant story. Dan is such an inspiration, because of him I'm skydiving again. Thank you Jak for a great production video and thank you Dan for writing your brilliant book.
I lost a couple of friends that day. The first Chris Harrell a pilot flying in the right seat to observe. The second was Rex Harper chief pilot at Perris at that time. He was Not on the doomed Otter. We lost him a little at a time over the months before he finally took his own life. He never got over the crash and blamed himself for not being on the plane. I started jumping with Rex in Tahlequah Oklahoma in the early 80’s. God bless all who lost their life that day and those who lived on and the one that could never forgive himself. Papa Victor still stayed together to save 6 lives.
Great story
The blue skies have plenty of power.... this is just another awesome story. BRAVOOOO!
This video excited my dad like I haven't seen in years, thank you for giving me that experience
Our biggest battles internally happen with own. Happy to hear about your progress after such a set back. You are true Champion Dan!
Legend
Dan, clearly leads by the front... What a Narrative... As a Skydiver I would love to jump with him out in Perris... Ciarán/Ireland D11292!
Hey Joseph this is Tyler, a 21 year old jumper from MI who’s been passionate about skydiving since I was 5. I had the pleasure of jumping with Dan back in February of this year. This short film is rad, you did an awesome job at telling Dan’s story and you killed it with the editing. It’s overwhelmingly awesome to see us young guys make cool stuff like this. Not sure if we’ll ever get to jump together but Blue Skies my friend
Joey my bro, just got the chance to watch the full thing and wow man you just absolutely crushed it. Eyes got a lil watery toward the end😆 so much passion in one person, story was so good man
There are a lot of great names in the sport, but to me, Dan BC will always be the biggest. I would kill to get on a load with him before he eventually hangs it up. Great film!
fire doc, Dan's story is amazing!!
