I am impressed. It is hard enough to write a song, it is infinitely harder to write a good song. You have done what few people can do, write a very good song. It had everything, a story we can all relate to. A perspective that not many have. Melody and words flow together deliciously. A couple creatively placed and used adjectives, and a twist at the end that had a heart-wrenching sense of resolution, that we all have felt when a relationship doesn't end in a way that we feel good about at all. But we still have to accept it. Oh yes, a very good song. Plus people do not know how difficult it is to learn to be able to play and sing at the same time and have both sound good. I think you have something going, keep writing your own songs. Write them about anything and everything no matter how "stupid" you may think it sounds. Oh, and protect those songs. Write them, date them, write the chords and changes so you know it is your music. There are a lot of people out there that would steal, er, borrow them. Ask someone in the business what you should do, or if you have nothing to worry about. I don't know, I would hate it if someone got a hold of your music and passed it off as their own. Maybe I worry too much. Never sell yourself short, you have talent and loads of potential. Keep playing and singing and writing, even if you are good at it you still have to work hard, but as they say, "find something you love to do, and you will never work a day in your life." Until the next time.

I was nervous about putting this song out because I didn’t know how others would perceive this song, wether people would say something like “oh what would a kid know about heartbreak” or something along those lines. I wrote this song about someone I cared for, someone who I saw as family but I lost. so this song is very special to me and seeing you write a comment like this about something I wrote and I created means more than you could ever know. thank you.

Ya, this is great. I mean, you already have a killer voice in spades and know how to approach a song in interesting ways with a lot of feeling as well as technical prowess. Just great delivery. The fact that you composed this song is even better, and that you can play it on guitar seems to afford even more opportunities for you creatively and professionally. I would say that you might lean into really leveling up your guitar chops and/or skills on another instrument. It's not essential, but I think it'd eliminate any remaining barriers to doing something with music as a career or secondary career. There's Allie Sherlock who street performs and UA-cams from Dublin on the one hand. She plays guitar and sings very consistently. And then on the other hand you have a guy like Jacob Collier who is crazy proficient on all kinds of instruments, knowledge of music theory, and a powerhouse with home studio recording very sophisticated harmonic arrangements. These days the sky is the limit for getting your music out. I think your song writing shows a lot of serious promise. Anyway, good luck, and enjoy the journey. You're off to an amazing start.
