- In this LEGO city zoo update, I change up the existing raised walkway with the addition of glass viewing tunnels! It looks so much better now plus the guests are going to have a better view of the animals! In addition to that, I start building the bird aviary and place it in the zoo. I am extremely happy with today's progress!

Aviaries have double entrances so birds don't fly out. remember to make another entrance over doorway :)
At first, I was questioning about putting the glass tunnel under the walkways. But now, I'm so glad you did it. It looks way better than thought it would! And I love the way you built the bird aviary. The way all the glass meets and the shape is just seemingless. Can't wait for your next project in the zoo!

The clear panels make a big difference in the viewing area. Add a ramp to the upper level or stairs and elevator so wheel chair guests and parents with strollers can access the upper level.
That Zoo is really turning in to a Showcase piece. Great work Bricksie!

The birds-section looks stunning and the upgrade with the glass tunnels is absolutely awesome. Really love the updates to the Zoo-area 😍🫠🤩
The aviary is the most real-world looking feature of the zoo so far. Not that the others have been bad, but the design of the aviary and particularly the way it integrates with the mountain really looks like I could see this at an actual zoo.
I think a double curved staircase with some greenery around the entrance to the tunnel would looks very nice. Also, one suggestion for the monkey exhibit. At the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo, there’s a “monkey island” with a very large tree populated by black-handed spider monkeys. Having something like that in the center of your zoo entrance would look amazing, if you’re not too adamant about using the tree you already have.
Wasn't really excited about the zoo at first, but man, that area is looking awesome!!!!!!!!!

Glad you decided to include the glass windows underneath the walking platforms because it actually utilises the depth of MILS
You should make it so the people can see behind the glass and a stairs that go behind the end of the glass and make the floor in there higher

I really like the aviary, and the position of it below the ninjago area gives me an idea. Redo your idea for a small waterfall going into the pond in the aviary.

For the viewing area you could do 2 stair cases pointing at a cave entrance in the middle that would be the access for the lower viewing area.

Why not have the two small staircases on the sides and then double doors in the middle with brick separators awning above the doors then have some shade for the minifigures on the elevated viewing 6:00

The lush green trees look out of place in a savanna landscape with the giraffe. Maybe some more fall colors on the trees instead? Loving the zoo!! Looks amazing
U should try using the glass panels that cane in the Lego ideas ship in a bottle set I think it would look nice! Those glass panels for the viewing area look great as well!

A lego koala new mold is being made in the lego series 24 minifigures. U should buy a couple and add them to the zoo
The glass panels under the walkways are amazing turned out great!!! Not digging the big glass cube as much, was thinking maybe a layer or two of glass panels for the foundation and then like netting over the whole thing supported by those awesome Lego trees you build. Plus it will allow the aquarium to be the centerpiece building.
You should move the Aquarian to the back corner we’re the lions are and build a 20 brick tall mountain that has a a short connection to the current mountain! And slap the aquarium with like a grand walkway, and just ad some color the the birds home. I just think that area looks bland with just whit and blue
A lift up to the observation walkway would be cool along with the stairs.

Looks amazing!! Keep thinking the lion/croc/giraffe enclosures seems a bit small and squashed in but assume will all make sense when others are completed :)
It looks 10 times better with the glass panels under the walkways. I guess you could bring all of them one brick down so they don't block the view as much, like before. Everything but the view points at the end of each walkway and just put a step/ramp to get to the one-brick-higher view points.

You could try making the aviary a dome going into the mountain. That would really make it stand out.
I think it would be cool to make the panda enclosure be a big hill that starts from the corners and builds into the middle and have the peak of the hill a little above the walkway
It's funny, but I was expecting to not be interested in the zoo videos just because it's less "city" themed material and not focusing on sets, but I gotta say I'm enjoying it, particularly now that you've added the glass panels to the tunnels. It looks so much more realistic and even adds more visibility to the enclosures through those panels from the camera's point of view so that you don't have to be hovering directly above to catch a glimpse of the animals. The aviary is also really neat. I'm looking forward to seeing that finished out.
Those were awesome improvements to the zoo, i have a suggestion, maybe you should use more of those grey slopes pieces in the rooft of the aquarium, maybe make it full of those pieces, because they look like the mesh that zoos use for birds enclosures
Or he could have used a couple of the actual net pieces as the roof for the aviary

@@ElhParraah yea I saw another youtube channel do it for either their aviary or monkey house. It was on a much smaller scale than this but the same concept could be done just using a framework of 1x(however long) plates to hold the nets up
The big tree in the aviary would look cool if it extended through the roof.

Bristol zoo used to have a monkey enclosure that looked like an Indian temple. It was quite cool.

7:41 why not do 2 entrances to the glass viewing tunnels on either side then like a small zoo map in the middle of them on a wall. Then extend the wall both left and right and add stairs there going up

check the 501st battle packs for those modified slopes for the roof, pretty sure there is one in each if not more
For the exhibit by the hillside, you should add nets in there
This just makes me want to visit a zoo.
You may want to make a little tunnel going from the door of the aviary to another door, just like the real ones do so the birds can't get out when people enter and exit the aviary

Not sure if someone has said but you should add a monorail in the zoo or add one in the theme park area
You could ad the toilets in the gap between the aviary and the aquarium
Suggestion for once the whole project is done: have a zookeeper in at least one exhibit, maybe feeding a more peaceful animal
maybe you could use the space in front of the pandas for a proper polar bear exhibit, i find it a bit random how its kinda just stuck onto the front of the aquirium.

I would add grey 1x1 columns between the transparent panels to make it more realistic and add some accents.

I think you should put the panther on the corner of the mountain since thats where they live, then have the other half of the mountain or the aviary
And the aviary would also have a walkway with railings to keep people in line

You should put the monkeys next to the aviary and have them enclosed because you could have a tunnel going from the monkey include to the aviary for the moneys to use.

Question: why is there a door handle on the outside of the exit door to the aviary?
Also, keep in mind that the biggest attractions - such as monkeys, elephants and restaurant - are in the furthest corners of a good zoo. To make sure the visitors see all animals as they find their way to their favourite.
Hey Bricksie, to remedy the lack of sloped grill pieces, why not build a HVAC/“humidifier” unit or something electrical?
I would skip the tunnels and only have one glass wall and make the enclosures so the animals can watch the visitors. It will make it less dark and you will see the details such as animals and visitors more clearly.
It's a lot of work but it looks great. Stand back and take it in. It was worth it. All the best to you and the family. Take care mate.

What if u make like a roof on the path way but to support it do pillars in some spots instead of glass

Ahh not what I was expecting, I was thinking it'd be more like a bircage. Like the Teradactyl enclosure from Jurassic Park 2 coming from the rock edges 🤷. I think that's abit to square and green housey for me.
