It isn't an allergy and I truly believe on this one she isn't lying.
Some people respond like she described with scrambled eggs and the eggs whites not fully cooked through. It has to do with enzymes I believe. So if the egg is cooked all the way she had no issues. But when it accidentally isn't, which normally is not dangerous, she will feel sick. It's Just a small difference being juuuuust on the verge of done VS completely done. Maybe 15 seconds of cooking can be the difference.
What she has described is an actual thing, but Rain And Petals Eavesdrop: she uses the wrong word. It's not An allergy or a full blown intolerance of eggs as a whole, but of the way they are cooked. More people have this.

First off, there is no research and no evidence that ADHD can be CURED by diet. Only treated. Cured and treated are two very different things. Cured means it’s gone, treated means the symptoms are reduced or gone but that the underlying issue are still there. That being said, even if there was a cure, that doesn’t mean it could also cause ADHD. That’s a bigger stretch than Ambers skirt was going through.
Now that that’s out of the way, I looked into the doctor you linked and found no studies she’s done or used that prove anything you’ve claimed. I found books with some wild claims but no studies she’s taken part of or participated in. Without actually evidence, nothing written in her books (which by the way, isn’t a good sign. If the first thing you find when looking up a DOCTOR is a book and website shilling even more books written by said doctor, that’s a very bad sign. You should see studies, medical or scientific studies with data posted on trustworthy websites. And no, her personal website does not count.) actually has any merits. You can’t just say “I’m a doctor and I say food causes ADHD, autism, schizophrenia and other mental health issues.” Without any evidence and expect educated people to take you seriously. The only thing I was able to find in the way of “research” was that she saw a correlation between all these issues and poor diet, but when you live in a country where poor diet is the norm and are sampling a group of people known to struggle with impulse control that says nothing.
You can’t cure or cause ADHD with diet. You are born with it and you spend your life working with its symptoms. Yes diet can be a treatment for some symptoms, peer reviewed research has shown this, but it’s not a cure.
@@leorising8074 no. Food, excersize and so on can help with the symptoms but as adhd is a difference in how the brain work it is not about ”a bad diet in childhood”. Both you and me know alr does not have adhd. Maybe her diet caused other issues such as food addiction but that is a whole other story.

Same here! I don't understand why she intentionally avoids taking medication that would vastly improve her mental health and how she feels. I sometimes side eye her mental health claims because, speaking from experience, I make taking my medication a priority because I know what it feels like on the other side, unmedicated and not coping. She's not stated any undesirable side effects which is usually a huge factor in why people aren't compliant with taking their meds so I question why she's so negligent about it

@@Jen-Chapin right, forgetting a day or otherwise missing a few doses is one thing but that's not what she does, she's fully aware and intentional about not taking her medication correctly. She says she is bipolar and it's caused her so much grief and unhappiness but refuses to put in the absolute least amount of effort in swallowing a pill everyday. Either take your meds and see your therapist or just stop talking about it because she uses it as a shield and an excuse for her behavior. Mental health issues aren't your fault but they are your responsibility to manage. She just doesn't get it.
I’ve gone through periods of time where I’ve either forgotten for weeks at a time or intentionally not taken my meds but both situations are a product of the illness whereas our gorl seems to like the attention surrounding whether she will or won’t take her pills

I actually can really relate to her depression. When you have major depression you just like sleep and be miserable. I just went through one of my worst episodes I've had and I didn't do ANYTHING. I didn't bathe, brush my teeth, change my clothes or move barely for like 5 days. My house is a DISASTER zone and even though I've back to doing basic hygiene again just looking at my house is so stressful. I also don't want to let anyone help cause then they'd know I've been living like a nasty trash goblin ! So yeah I gotta be real that's something I can understand, if you've never been majority depressed it will just look like laziness to y'all but believe me no one hates it more than the person going through it

Fun fact, when I moved back to the US from Switzerland, my cats needed passports just like I needed a passport. The "passports" are really just extensive medical information, and when you cross a border the authorities need to make sure you're not bringing in rabies.
When you take animals over state lines, at least for shelters, they need papers too. Again, mainly to make sure they aren't bringing rabies or other diseases over.

I hate when people say they have ADHD when they have never been diagnosed, it's not quirky and it doesn't make you special. ADHD isn't fun it's stressful and makes life a lot harder.
I say it all the time to remind people that when I interrupt them to say something I’m not trying to be rude but I literally will forget if I don’t say it now. To get a little better with it I’ll write thoughts down on a pad so I won’t have to worry about forgetting! I’m more open with talking about my mental health struggles because it may make it easier for the next person to not be ashamed or feel alone.

My bf's mom wouldn't let him get diagnosed as a kid because she didn't want him to be "treated differently" but going undiagnosed with ADD is so much harder. I see him giving it his best but if his head wasn't attached to his body, he'd lose that too! I love him so much, so I really don't mind being the one who knows where everything is 🙏❤️
@@henotic.essence my mom did the similar, was diagnosed but she refused to report it to any teachers, didn’t want me being treated different. Now that I’m a teacher myself, I’ve talked to my previous teachers and they were just like “Yea that was obvious. We knew.” Whether she reported my diagnosis or not, it was obvious enough that they just knew.

When I miss my Cymbalta by a few hours, I absolutely feel like utter garbage. Headache, nausea, vertigo, the works. And that motivates me to take it like I'm supposed to! Also, it takes a few weeks for meds like what Amber is on (supposedly) to fully kick in and start having a noticable change. She's self-sabotaging by taking them so intermittently and probably making herself feel terrible, too.

I completely understand what she's talking about with trying to take her meds, and that being difficult. Taking care of yourself, even in that way, can get so hard when you're going through depression- especially if you're dealing with the illogical thoughts that sometimes comes with it like "this probably isn't working anyway if I still feel this way" or feelings that maybe you deserve to be in mental pain.
