You channel is among the few that I religiously watch that's top 3. I've watched I've lost track of count of how many UK truck vloggers I've watched since 2018. Many come and go. Was really happy that UA-cam put one of your older videos on my home page. When did I sub to you? I forgot. Less than 4k subs for sure. You were born to make UA-cam videos. You produce quality content constantly.
OK, onto your vlog. Talking about satnavs, one place that it doesn't get updated is actually the Sheffield side of the Snake Pass. It always shows me driving down a steep ravine🤣. No matter how many times I updated my satnav, it always shows the Snake Pass with no road. But yes, I would download once a year to keep it updated. Luckily, I have a desktop computer, so its brilliant just to plug in and leave it to it. Well done on getting back in time. See you next time👌

Just started watching your video Darren in warmer weather🤣. Just a quickee. The Manchester Caravan Show starts on Thursday until Sunday. Personally, I wouldn't waste your time going. Wait until 19 February when its the Caravan Show at the NEC. If you've never been before, its brilliant. You can pick up gadgets, there's holiday sites in different parts of the country or Europe. Its a nice few hours to visit, as well as the new 2025 model caravans as well. Probably at eye watering prices🤣. What I loved about visiting the show was that it was always nearly cold when me and my hubby would visit it, but you can see a light at the end of the tunnel and getting to see the spring and summer for holidays
The new Tom Tom I have is superb mate, it puts chevrons up in the screen for lanes, off ramps and roundabouts. Plus the usual traffic alerts and speed cameras. Nice drive today bud.
The Tom Tom go expert plus 15 inch. You don’t need to buy an SD card as there’s no slot. You have to pair it to your phone through Bluetooth and WiFi hotspot. It also allows you to set the previous routes including setting it up so you can place a marker where loading gates entrances are that are different from the Sat Nav like an adjacent road, ideal if you haven’t been at a location for a while. It’s a really good peace of kit and got me out of trouble a few times.
You're right.. the A43 is much nicer than the A45!!... But just beware for future reference, it is a bit of an accident hotspot.. particularly on the single carriageway section, and as you can probably imagine once you're on it there's no getting off of it, or any realistic places to turn around, so if theres an accident you're stuck with it until the road is cleared again. Just worth checking travel news before pulling off of the A45 or A14 depending on which way you're heading.
Watching you overtake the wide load, and correctly moving into the third lane on the four lane motorway to allow for its overhang, here’s a question? On a three- lane motorway, are you, in a HGV allowed to move into the third lane to overtake a slow moving wide load which is taking up the first two lanes? Must admit I’ve done it , but not sure of the legality. Great video, mate, cheers!

Yes it’s allowed to overtake wide loads then must proceed back to lane 1 or 2 after safely passing.
