I too think bringing in Aaron is very beneficial as this a team business not a unilateral one. Besides Aaron has better knowledge of the nuts & bolts of the operation.

I honestly think you will have so many regrets if you don’t take days off to enjoy your babies, it’s like “don’t blink” with kids!!
And when the our babies are grown we find ourselves so sad!! You know like a bitter/sweet type of thing. We want them to grow
And succeed, and happy but ohhh mercy we sure miss the baby/little kids things so much!

We traveled everywhere including China and Italy as soon as the kids were 1 year. We brought the very light weight umbrella stroller everywhere. Our kids took dozens of naps in that stroller while we were traveling. We must have worn through 4 or 5 of them during their youth. In fact , there is a destroyed umbrella stroller in a garbage can in the Forbidden City in Beijing

    About storing Christmas lights ...
My husband takes a stiff piece of cardboard from a delivery box about 6 inches by about 12-24 inches (or longer if needed), depending on the length of your Christmas lights and wraps the strands around it. We have several of these stored inside a large plastic bin. We stand them up on their skinny side and put another piece of cardboard in between so they can't get stuck on the neighboring lights. Since you have more lights than us, you could put one layer on top of another with a large piece of cardboard in between layers. This way there is no detangling needed. Hope this helps🥰🎄

Love that you shared your old house issues with us- (gave me a little trip down memory lane!) even tho you say all is not perfect, in the world of video it sure looks like it! 😉 Hate that you have all the issues an old house has (we lived in an 1917ish old house for 40+ years and remodeled the remodels). These people that say “we are remodeling”, only to find out they are PAINTING! haven’t lived! 😂🤣 when you look into your dining room and see the dirt below-you are remodeling! 😄 we gutted, replumbed, rewired, burnt wood, went to furnaces, added on and now at retirement age we decided to move on and built much smaller. Enjoy your BIG house while you are young and your kids are too. We enjoy watching Garden Answer because, like you, we are starting all new gardens (again) - amending soil and trying to create those spots for interest year. GA is our perfect go too for that! Keep those occasional entertaining videos coming too - as I plan on doing much more of that too!!!😃🍰🧁🥂🍸Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Renovating an older home to make it the space that works for you is so worth it. So many wait to renovate or fix something until they are thinking about selling and it’s lost time for a more joyous daily life. Especially if you’re homebodies, like you are. Everything is really expensive right now but making a list of “must have”, “would like”, and “would be nice, but can live without” will help an architect or contractor help you through the process. I was a Construction Project Manager for 35 years and meeting owner expectations is always a challenge. Asking the right questions of the owners is key. I loved being a PM and hearing you banter reminded me of how much I miss helping people through the process. You’ve brought so much daily joy and a revised love of gardening into my life. I wish you many blessings and a very Merry Christmas.

We replaced all the supply and sewer in our 100+ year old home recently. From galvanized to pex. We also had new supply "stubbed in" for a future upstairs bathroom. Our Plumber brought a crew of 5 and got 90% done in one day and was able to only have water off for only the one day and finished everything the next morning. On the electrical we replaced as we remodeled each room, my husband was able to do that himself as he knows electrical. We added over a dozen new outlets, which is great!

Comments and questions that made into this video:
From "Snow Day Garden Tour!" video
    1) 4:32 Russel running in the snow is great winter interest too.
    2) 4:47 Is Benjamin always so well behaved? It seems he knows you are working and he needs to be quiet! I'm so impressed...
    3) 6:04 I know you have power plugs for your porch lights, but how do you get power to the lights on the trees and arbors?
    4) 8:41 What happened to your waterfal/pond you put in last year with The Pong Guy and Aquascape?
    5) 10:18 Laura, as I follow you on this video... you spoke about your parking. How about building a covered shed/arbor on the right side of the barn?
    6) 11:27 Why don't you bring the hedge of the boxwood forward and curve at the driveway to give direction?
    7) 14:08 Are your plants native to the natural environment? (not invasives)
    8) 15:08 Maybe for the road where you DON'T want to move the pots but also don't want cars to drive, you put something else right in the center of the gravel right there? Like a sign, a statue?
From "Making a Wreath with Materials Foraged From Our Garden!" video
    1) 16:22 The photography and the music are exquisite! Ken outdid himself on this one!
    2) 17:03 Aaron, I'm a little paranoid after the photoshopped sky thumbnails, was the snow really coming down like that or did you play more tricks on us? Laura the wreath was beautiful!
    3) 17:54 Hey L&A, is the Garden Answer website link in the description box not working? It's not coming up in google search either.
    4) 18:13 What's the name of the kind of the crabapple trees that holds on to it's berries throghout the winter?
    5) 18:38 I wonder if I put a red dogwood will it be ready for cutting next Christmas
    6) 20:10 How many bundles did it take to go around the wreath and what size was the wreath form?
    7) 20:31 How are your raised beds holding up? Do you think you will have to replace them sooner down the road?
    8) 22:38 The ivy woven throughout is fun and whimsical touch. A long time ago you made a video on making a living wreath, would you ever do a living ivy wreath?
From "Antiquing with My Sister for My Mom’s Christmas Present!" video
    1) 24:31 These girsl and their gorgeous hair! Love this channel. You get so much of all the things to love! Plants, antiques, moms, and a fun sense of humour.

    4) 49:06 I loved the twig trees, are you going to use them in another project? They would look with Easter eggs on them!

I found Garden Answer spring of 2021. I learned so much and started developing spaces in my yard turning them into gardens! Now I have paid more attention to the sun and shade areas and what plants would work better. Through your channel I connected with Creekside in NC since we are in central South Carolina (sandy soil). We visited Creekside in November to pick up some treasures. Our 4 children are married adults and I have more time to focus on gardening.

This past summer, the fourth leak happened. My husband was DONE. The entire ceiling came down and ALL the copper pipes were replaced with the pipes you mentioned…( and then an entire kitchen remodel ensued!!!). You are right…living in an old house just calls for remodeling!

Idea: Keep those days off for family time, fun times while satisfying viewers.
How about filming every project in Spring and Summer, hold the extra overflow vids, to post on Sunday, or when going on vacation, or events you guys attend, or whatever crops up in life? In Spring and Summer one week holding back a vid on planting, preparing soils, planting, creative projects or home, garden maintaining will make little differences...
    💛💛💛💛 to your family.
Or surprise us in the dead of winter, (most of us get tired in of waiting in Jan. and Feb for Spring to land) with a Spring, Summer, Late Fall vid of beauty, overhead vid of the property in full bloom or a creative project you or Aaron have done that we did not see coming!

    Hi y’all,
There’s a way to store lights on coat hangers from the cleaners. You bend the ends of the hanger up to make a hook. Then wrap the lights around the hanger. Hang them from a rod for storage. I like this method because it keeps the lights from becoming tangled. But I can only wrap three or four strings of lights on each hanger. I’m sure there’s a tutorial on UA-cam😁. Can I take the liberty to mention to you that even if young children don’t always remember everything, holidays do help to stimulate their brains, imagination and create educational experiences, and yes, memories from experiences that they would never get at home. They watch all the holiday videos while they are growing up, and that helps them to remember. When we took our 2.5 yr daughter and 3.5 yr old son to Fiji from our cold winter season in Australia, to the gentle island warmth, they showed a different side of themselves and were so excited that the could swim there, and were mostly well behaved. They learned so much about a different culture and climate, in their own childish way! 😀🌴 Also the happy, ultra friendly Fijians were so kind to children. Our little Benjamin was so serious, always asking questions and learning about lots of new things, while our shy sweet Holly gradually learned to overcome her shyness with the wonderful, happy 😃 Fijian people. Family memories are all the more precious when your children are all grown up, like ours are now. 🌸🌷🌹🌲🌻🌴😎
